okay still in agonies about how wei wuxian constructed an elaborate lie about baoshan sanren so jiang cheng wouldn’t know what wei wuxian was sacrificing for him but nevertheless insisted that jiang cheng had to pretend he was wei wuxian for it to work

like. YOU are the one constructing this elaborate lie wwx you didn’t have to make that part up. He could have just said baoshan sanren would help jiang cheng. But I think he wanted jiang cheng to know, at least a little bit, that he was TAKING something from wei wuxian. He was saying “hey you can be saved at my expense are you okay with that?” and was probably genuinely hurt at how quickly jc said yes

i rlly do love shen jiu as a character but his fans are always 50/50 for me bc so many of them either:

1. praise shen jiu at the expense of shen yuan (ntm on my wife)

2. sand down all of shen jiu’s sharp edges (that’s not even the same character anymore)
