The only people would say that 1dfansgive keeps the money for themselves are misinformed or lying morons. 1dfansgive use the website JustGiving for the charities and the fans who run the drives never see a cent of the money raised. It’s all handled by the website, not the individuals running the charity pages. According to The Guardian (x), JustGiving channeled 1.5 billion euros to over 13,000 charities since its launch in 2001 (and that number is just from 2001 to 2013, when the article was written). Numerous charities 1dfansgive have supported over the years have also publicly thanked 1dfansgive for their charity efforts, so it’s quite obvious that they’re actually receiving the money. Again: the fans who run 1dfansgive never see a cent of the money you’re donating.

1DFansGive is run with integrity and transparency. The drives are set up in such away that, other than the charity auctions and stores, the donations are never even touched by anyone outside of Just Giving and the charity receiving the donations.

A quick check at the completion of any auction run by the 1DFansGive eBay page will also show that ALL the money, aside from shipping, is also paid directly into the drive - not even the fees associated with running the auctions through eBay is deducted.

I’m disgusted that, almost four years in, this same, tired, blatant lie is continuing to be propagated by people with an obvious hate-filled against Amy.

If you question the drives, ask myself, Amy, @createdoutofnecessity, @cuppatease, or anyone else who is actively involved in the campaigns. We’ve never been anything other than honest about it all.

Anna @holytomlinson (formerly annayolome) got so much anonymous hate after posting her own opinion. An opinion she was so scared of expressing here in the first place because sticking your neck out even a little bit in this climate is terrifying. So she decided to leave Tumblr and delete her blog. Like she said, she never dares to post her opinion, and now you have the concrete result of why that is.

I’m so outraged by the horrible fandom culture that’s taken over here. At what people get themselves to write to others, with no regard for others well being at all. She expressed an opinion based on love and people answer her with cruel hate. It’s despicable. And cowardly.

She’s going to continue to support and love Louis, the ways she can while not being on Tumblr. That is what she’s about, she is pure kindness, and all she wants is to watch Louis succeed and smile.

Anna is one of my closest and best friends, and for me this place will seem much duller without her presence. If you take anything from this post, please let it be to spread kindness and love, and not hate. And if you can’t do that, then keep your filthy fucking mouth shut. Thank you.

i’m pretty sure it’s about this article. and that photographer posted this acting like gq did some radical “”””””awakening””””” and destroyed one direction’s teeny bopper image because of some vampire looking photographs. which sjghsfsjkuls js nO. people were pissed about the gq interview because the interviewer was SO INVASIVE like awfully so especially given the boy’s age at the time like here’s an excerpt:

The bad news is Simon Cowell is in that headline with him.

They also couldn’t seem to find ANY solo picture of Louis. Not even a single one from the actual thousands there are of a Louis Tomlinson. Amazing. The subtitle baffles me a bit (all the boys went elsewhere, besides Louis) – why did they need to emphasize that? 

In fact, it’s the same thing - all  about SYCO and Simon in articles and tweets from Hits Daily Double (they managed to mention RCA, thank God), Official Charts UK, Just Jared and the radio stations that have tweeted about it. 

The whole announcement just seems more like a press round and propaganda for Simon and SYCO - but are we really surprised with Simon Jones at the helm of this PR?
