I’m glad that we’re slowly getting the boys all up to the million subscriber club. They’re all such awesome people in their own unique ways, and the friendship that they have with one another alone is indicative of how worthy they all are of reaching this milestone. This community isn’t a community without every single one of them there to contribute what they do. So congrats to Luke for hitting 1 million this morning! He’s a chill dude who stands firm behind his convictions and is incredibly supportive of his friends. His and Del’s co-op games are some of my favorite stuff, and that never would’ve been possible without Luke or the beautiful friendship he’s cultivated with Delirious for decades. :3

The story of me meeting CaRtOoNz

There are just random moments throughout my day that I’ll remember meeting CaRtOoNz. Like, even though it’s been a few months now, I still smile and giggle about that day.

I remember when I first came up to him, I was wearing my CaRtOoNz shirt. He laughed and said, “Wow, I really love your shirt. That guys looks really familiar and handsome as fuck! Nice beard!” I remember laughing along with him, saying “yeah, but I don’t think you know him that well” (I feel a bit awkward that I said that, but the day was perfect, and I’m trying not to hate every thing I did. I tend to do that to myself) Then he opened his arms for a hug, asking my name. I gave it to him and he said “Catherine? Well hi, my name is Luke” and hugged me tightly. (My face hurts from smiling. I still remember that scene quite well. He actually kinda whispered it to me since he was so close to my ear when he hugged me) After we hugged, we talked about some other stuff and he signed my notebook. Some of the stuff I can’t remember, but I do remember that he claimed he wanted to eat my book, since it had cookies all over it. When he opened it and saw a cookie bookmark, he said he was about to reach I’m and eat it. XD Then he made a video for my friend (my friend was excited, but was also quite jealous I was there. Like they said some mean stuff and didn’t seem to enjoy me being happy there with him. I kind of wish I had him do the video for either myself for later or for another friend) But about the video, hmm you guys know how instinctively you think you need to show someone how to use the camera on your phone? Not necessarily someone older, but anyone in general? I kind of felt that way, despite also knowing CaRtOoNz knows this stuff better than I do xD I hope it wasn’t awkward for him, or that he noticed it much, but I had pressed the button for him and was awkwardly standing beside him, my face probably red as can be from doing it.

After the video, we talked a little more and he talked to my mom. Asked me where I was from and if it was a mother daughter trip. Then he hugged my mom and said “Thanks mom for bringing her out!” Hehe, my mom won’t let it go that he called her mom. She jokes about it being like “did you guys already get married” xD My mom is actually only a few months older than CaRtOoNz, which made it even more hilarious.

Another thing that happened after the lines died down, and my mom and I got something to eat and came back, my friend was waiting for his name to be called for the game. I was curious if CaRtOoNz was playing, so my friend said he’d ask him. Well, after a few minutes, my friend was still waiting to ask (since he was talking to some people about how YouTube messed him up) and I decided to get up and go over there. Which is a big step for me, since I’m really shy. Well anyway, I got up and joined them and listened to what they were talking about. Then CaRtOoNz said he was gonna get some chicken nuggets from this little stand and before he went over there, my friend asked if he was playing. Now I know I’m gonna sound hella weird for this, but this man is my idle. He’s standing right beside me, 6'1" vs 5'2" hes friggin tall and pretty muscular. I remember looking up to him as he talked to us and grinning. I was ready to let him get some food, cause I didn’t want to interrupt him. But he did answer us and said he wasn’t going to play, since it wouldn’t be fair to the other contestants. Then my friend… And I swear I wanted to just run and hide. My friend asked if he could shock CaRtOoNz. Yes. Shock him. .-. He had made this tiny little contraption that shocks people and I was shocked (pun intended) that he asked him that. I said “Eminem, you can’t just ask to shock people!” In like this tiny voice, and CaRtOoNz laughed, shaking his head. “Hell nah, I don’t wanna get shocked!”, And Eminem was going “don’t worry it doesn’t hurt. I shocked her (pointing to me), and it didn’t hurt her.” I have Eminem this look that made CaRtOoNz laugh, and Eminem grin. “You shocked me the entire way here and it hurt.” XD I was a bit pouty about that, but I’m just glad he didn’t shock CaRtOoNz. Like, why xD

But after that, we were waiting for my friend to finish the competition for the game. He signed up without asking first and my mom was a bit angry, but didn’t show it. Plus she was okay with it later on, since it worked in my favour. Well, me and my mom were just sitting there on this bench and CaRtOoNz was standing off to the side before suddenly moving over and sat next to me while talking to this girl. Of course I had this huge grin on my face from Joy, my face probably really red. I wasn’t facing towards him because I didn’t want him to see it xD But my mom was grinning at me and tried to get me to talk to him. But he was talking to somebody, so I definitely wasn’t going to interrupt. My mom kept saying not to be shy, but I surprisingly wasn’t. I was really relaxed at the moment. Which surprises me to this day. Anyway, once he finished talking and was watching my friend play, I decided to ask him to sign my phone. He happily obliged and we talked as he did it. We talked about that email from quite a long time ago, and I had said how shy I was about it (I doubt he actually remembered which one it was), but he said “don’t feel embarrassed about it!” And gave me this cute friggin grin, that made me smile. After he signed my phone, my friend was just coming out and that was our time to go. As we stood up, CaRtOoNz stood up with us and said, “wait, one more hug before you go.” And pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back, technically a one sided huh? Like only one arm was around him, since I we in the position where my hand would only rest on his chest if I was to try and hug him with both arms. Plus I was holding my book I my other hand. But he hugged me tightly, then gave my friend and my mom a hug, before telling is how glad he was happy we came and all. Then he waved us off, said goodbye and everything.

That day… Was just… Perfect. I regret how I worded some stuff and kind of wished I got another picture with him before we left, but I wasnt thinking about it. I was just so happy to be there with him. :)

Sorry for the random post about my meeting with CaRtOoNz. I just felt so happy remembering it and wanted to post it here for me to see later on or for other people to see. I still smile about that day now. It makes me really happy and whenever I’m upset, I remember hugging CaRtOoNz and it usually makes me feel a lot better. I wanna go back and see him. I really hope I can hug him again, really. I kind of miss him. I hope that doesn’t sound weird. But that day made me so happy, and that’s usually quite hard. It’s hard for me to be really happy without being worried the day is gonna be ruined. But I was really happy. So I wanna go back again and meet him. If my mom can and will take me. I really want to see him again :)

DAY 2 (cont): All Luke moments!!!!!! He’s my actual fave, so I had to get as many pics as possible. 3rd pic from HIS Instagram (I MADE IT GUYS), 4th and 5th pics are me wearing his shades and jacket. Then we did group photos (took the last pic from @wherebbsmeetsfandom). HE IS A LITERAL SWEETHEART AND IM LUCKY TO HAVE MET HIM.

We also confirmed we have a weird relationship where he is my dad and I am his mom. Tyler was confused too. HIS PICTURE ID IS PROBABLY THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN OH MY GOD then Tyler made me show him my ID.

I think Luke and I are Best Convention Buddies now. Can’t wait to see him tomorrow!
