“I have algebra one and chemistry, too!” The girl exclaimed, blue eyes lighting up in the dark. “In that order, first and second period. I guess that means we have morning classes together, huh, Mikuo?” She giggled, bringing her hand to her mouth to try and stifle it. Mikuo didn't seem like much of a morning person whatsoever - she could only imagine him, coffee in hand and bed hair a mess.
She dipped her head into a curt nod at his answer, vaguely feeling a little jealous. Until—
“Although, the ones I've been to have been small, and this one looks a lot bigger.”
She lifted her head back, tilting it to the side in the process as she gave him a confused glance. “‘This one’? What do you mean by ‘this one’, Mikuo? Are.. are we at a carnival?” Her head swooped down as she looked at the ever glowing lights in front of them, suddenly so vibrant, like the light at the end of a dark train tunnel. She could hear music she’d listened to in movies before, could feel the excited cheers and happy laughs surrounding the rides.
As they walked he listed things carnivals held, but they went in one ear and came out the other for SeeU. She had never really thought she’d ever get to see a carnival - she was nervous, but she was excited, too. She would have never guessed Mikuo would bring her here, but as she gently dug her fingers his palm at the sight of the establishment, she was incredibly glad.
“I-I wanna go on the rides!” She exclaimed, stepping to the right to turn her body to look at him. “The rides..!” Her face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes digging holes into her shoes. She let out an awkward cough. “I mean… I’d like to go on the rides first, if you don’t mind.”
Morning classes together. He internally groaned, hoping they had afternoon classes together. They'd be easier, after all--in the morning he was grumpier than usual, although he didn't think he was usually grumpy. Whatever, the point was that he didn't want her to see the still waking up Mikuo. But even though they were morning classes, he liked that they both shared two classes together.
The girl seemed excited, he assumed so, at least. Nodding he opened his mouth. "Yeah, we are. You really haven't been to one before, have you?" Mikuo tilted his head. As they entered the carnival, SeeU seemed not to notice anything--it was like she zoned out to her own little planet. She was like a kid, experiencing their first fair. The thought entertained him.
Her hands dug into his, and he sucked in a deep breath, biting his lower lip. He tried to move his hand away, but she looked too happy, he couldn't just let go of her. The boy tried to pull away from her grip.
"I-I wanna go on the rides! The rides...!"
Mikuo exhaled. "Then go on a ride. I'll pay for you--do you feel better?" He asked. SeeU quickly composed herself and corrected her sentence, which made Mikuo laugh under his breath. He looked up at the various rides, then back down to SeeU. "What do you want to go on?"
