So, i reached that point of the year where i feel the urge to redraw something, just to see how’s my art journey going lately

After giving a hard look at my DA gallery, i remembered about this old grand chase piece that i already remade a couple of times. After 10 years (and 5 years of kung fu training), all i can think now is how his bo staff stance is awful lmao

Platinum series notes #7

Alright, so we agreed about trying this new rule for a very simple reason: the most common complaint i’ve got in both crystal and emerald series over the years was the fact i never gave much attention to the pokemon themselves story wise.

While i already explained a couple of times how hard it is to deal with such a large cast of characters and not get completely lost in my pacing, i decided to do something about this. I sincerely understand now why pokeani rarely gives full teams to their characters (except ash of course lmao).

Anyway, while this is obviously trying to fix a glaring writing issue, there’s another point to consider here: we’re playing platinum this time, that is famous for its difficulty and i think everyone knows by now how fucking dumb we can get in a pokemon game.

I’m not sure if anyone ever noticed this, but we always followed a certain pattern to choose starters. That was supposed to be the dead giveaway in comic that something was wrong (our swapped roles was supposed to be a fun surprise in the story lmao), but anyway

Platinum series notes #5

SO, today i’m going to explain how’s the dppt trio dynamic works in the series.

Obviously a lot of stuff i’ve took from reading spe, and i was very surprised by how much i enjoyed the dp chapter (the platinum one was kinda ‘meh’ for me). The most glaring aspect anyone who knows the manga would notice is Dia and Pearl’s friendship. I’m sorry but that was the cutest shit i’ve ever seen and i even finished the chapter lowkey shipping them lmao.

Now, Pearl was never the brightest fella in any of his incarnations, so i decided it’d be interesting to work on that. Since i’ve toned up Platina’s lying tendencies (to the point of her “lady” side being completely fake), i made him have a crush on her completely clueless of her true nature (literally, she doesn’t even like guys). Of course this poor kid won’t stay unaware for the whole series, but that’s how things kicks off at first. Dia is usually torn between supporting their sis shenanigans or just telling the truth to their bff.

To be completely honest, that was mostly based on my favorite gag of the dppt series, when Pearl is always around everytime Platina let her “lady” pose slip for a bit.

Hey guys! This week i decided to do something about the accessibility issues ppl have been reporting lately and the first step i took was reactivating my old patreon! I’ll be posting the platinum notes there as well to avoid getting deactivated again due to inactivity.

I’ll be honest, i don’t have plans of gathering new patrons nor do i plan to charge the old ones, so all my posts for now will be free of charge there. I really only want to leave all this old content up for anyone who still want to read my Double Nuzlocke Series :)

As for the Crystal Series, there’s a downloadable version in my patreon available! I know it’s not the best solution for the mobile era, but it’s already an option while i work on new mirrors for the comics.
