Klaus let out a small laugh. “Yes, I suppose they do say that.” The hybrid followed his son’s lead and took a seat himself. “A lot of things, huh? Like to share any of them?”

“So don’t feel bad then be glad you were such a great teacher.” Cam told his dad as he looked over at his old man and nodded his head. “Like how I’ve been fighting again, a lot lately actually.”

Klaus looked at his painting and then at his son. “Sometimes I think you’re becoming a better artist than me, and I don’t know how I feel about that.” He smirked as he put his brush down. “I’m alright.” Or at least he was trying to be. “What have you been up too?”

“You know they say eventually the student surpasses the master.” Cam teased his dad as he nodded. “I’ve uh been up to a lot of things lately.” Cam admitted as he went and sat down on one of the stools in the studio.

Juniper raised an eyebrow, “So as always I’ll be responsible for your immaturity?” She shrugged, “Do you not think I’m capable of reigning you in?”

“I wouldn’t call it immaturity, but yup always responsible, and you were the one that said you didn’t care I am deeply offended now.” He raised his brows and didn’t think that she could as he looked at one of her co-workers and then began to levitate everything on her desk putting it higher and higher the more the woman tried to reach for it all the while he sat smirking.

“Well, that’s a rookie mistake, and I can’t be held responsible for that.”

“Oh really? Know what you could be held responsible for?” Cam got a devious look as he looked over at his friend. “If I caused some havoc here, all because you don’t want to admit you care.” He dared her to call his bluff, because he knew that she of all people would know he’d follow through.

Cam had been wanting to speak with his dad after he had told his Aunt Hayley what he did. Cam found his father amongst his paints. “I don’t know if I would put that color up there.” He teased his father as he stood in the doorway biting his bottom lip. “How are you doing?” One thing about his mother going awol on all of them was that he felt closer to his dad than before. He felt like maybe he was understanding his dad more, but at the same time he also began to realize just how many similarities he shared with his dad.

“I think you’ve learned the many ways to my heart by now.” She smiled as she threw on some clean clothes. “Hmm, you’re cooking for me right? What do you like to make? Although, it’s going to be hard to top your last meal.” Miranda smiled as she headed downstairs. 

“I hope there’s more ways yet to your heart.” He said honestly, as he nodded. “Yes I believe I promised to cook for you. But I like breakfast the most so everything? Eggs, french toast, waffles, pancakes. Bacon. I don’t know. I don’t know about that one.” He followed her into the kitchen as he kissed her cheek and then looked down at her.

“All of them. Every detail. Except the dirty ones, I don’t need to hear those.” He snorted, taking a handful of popcorn and popping piece by piece into his mouth. “Aww, you softie. You liiiiike her.” He nudged him with his foot. “What do you do on your dates? Are you romantic?”

“Don’t worry I will keep those dirty details to myself, though those are the best ones.” He smirked as he then rolled his eyes at his brothers teasing he nudged his brother back with his shoulder lightly. “Really? What made you come to that conclusion.” He teased Wyatt sarcastically. “I mean she makes me romantic for her yeah. Lets see, I guess our first date was on Thanksgiving. I took her down the lake, where I disappeared too after dinner. Had a fire going, and we shared some smores and cuddled up in a sleeping bag together, and well I kissed her the first time there. Then I skated with her at that carnival. I’ve cooked for her a few times. I don’t know, guess I like the nights I spend with her the most. It’s nice to have someone there.”

“It’s certainly better than the alternative,” Hope stated, giving a small shrug of her shoulders, allowing for a smile to ease onto her features. “You don’t have to that, Cam – I certainly don’t wish to inconvenience you in anyway whatsoever,” she mumbled with a shake of her head. 

“I suppose so, I don’t mind.” He gave her a small smile. “I know I don’t have too, figured you might want to hang out or something. The shop is slow today.” Cam tried to hide his frown as he nodded. “Maybe some other time then?”

“I suppose not.” He laughed softly, as he kissed her head. “I don’t know how that is managed but I slept pretty good like I always do when I sleep next to you.” 

Miranda smiled. “I’m glad to hear that.” She was finally starting to fully wake up. “You know, I’m starting to remember the promises of breakfast.” She said looking up at him with a grin. 

Cam couldn’t help but laugh. “Man is that the way to your heart woman?” He teased her as he kissed her quickly. “Alright lets get dressed and then I will make you breakfast.” Cam pulled on the clothes he had on yesterday, as he glanced over at Miranda. “What are you in the mood for?”

Juniper smiled, “Well, thank goodness for that. I would have to have something like a lack of blueberries end our friendship after all of these years.” 

“Im wounded that you would even leave me over blueberries, I mean here I thought you cared.” He said dramatically wiping a fake tear away.

“What it’s my job to complain okay,” Lennox nodded. “Yes cheers to being young forever and always being this cute,” she grinned taking a drink from her glass.

“So did you do anything fun today squirt? Or did you mope around until you decided to come out and drink?” He knew things were probably different without mom around but he was determined to make sure Lennox knew she wasn’t forgotten.

“I’m still not going to tell anyone and I’m not freaking out. I’m just… surprised.” Hayley replied before softly clearing her throat, grabbing her mug and lifting it to her lips to take a big gulp of her beverage. “And why exactly would you convince a group of guys to spar with you? How in the hell could you let them get to you like this? I mean, I sure as hell hope they look a hell of a lot worse than you do.”

Cam nodded his head. “They do look a whole hell worse. As for the why, I wanted a fight...it’s easier to deal with my emotions with my fists rather than to actually feel something. Miranda helps some nights I usually can get that feeling to last for a few days but then I am angry again and just want another way to get it out so I’m not like dependant on anyone you know?” He clarified to his Aunt. “It’s the whole wolf thing. Some days my blood just runs hot.”

“Uh – you, Miranda. Come on, don’t make me sing that song from Grease. Tell me more!” He pouted and reached out to flick the back of Cam’s head as his brother walked by. “Don’t hog the popcorn, jerkface.”

“I got that you wanted details about Miranda and I, I’m asking what sort of details. As great as your shower singing is bro I don’t need you to sing.” He said laughing softly. He rolled his eyes when the male flicked him. “I was going to share butthead.” He countered as he offered the bag to his brother. “But fine, I’ve been hanging out with her, we date, I stay over her place some nights, sometimes she comes over here, I like her scent it calms the wolf in me. Actually her perfume is still probably lingering on my pillow. Uh yeah?”

The past few days had been entirely uneventful for her, having spent them locked away within her apartment – even failing to open the shop. Hope was struggling – she was on edge, and it was beginning to show in everything she did. She knew she couldn’t stay in her apartment forever, nor would her family even allow her to do so. It had been a good hour since she’d chosen to go out, and already she was beginning to regret it, having bumped into someone who wasn’t the nicest – Hope’s jaw clenching, her nails digging into the palms of her hands in an effort to keep her aggression at bay. She fled from the scene, quickly hurrying off in another direction when her frame collided with another person’s. “I – I’m really sorry,” she mumbled out, her gaze lifting to meet the other’s. “I just – I couldn’t handle that person anymore,” she attempted to joke.

Cam had gotten lunch taking a break from the shop, he had been lost in thought when Hope bumped into him. He looked down at her and smirked softly. “So you decide to run into your little brother instead?” Cam teased her hopefully to ease her nerves. “It’s alright, I don’t mind you bumping into me. I just picked up some lunch, want to come back to the shop with me?” Cam offered her, he didn’t mind splitting his food.

Miranda felt his lips on her shoulder and smiled softly as she woke up. Her eyes slowly fluttered open. She loved waking up to him. “Good morning, handsome.” She cuddled up to him. 

“Oh no someone is cuddly.” He laughed softly but welcomed her into his arms for a few minutes anyways, he didn’t mind a lazy kind of morning was nice sometimes. “Did you sleep well?”

“Good night.” She whispered. It didn’t take long for her to fall asleep, it never did with him there. 

When he woke up and he could sense Miranda in the same bed as him still, it took him a minute to gather where he spent the night last night, before he turned and smiled, he loved seeing her asleep, she looked peaceful more so than any other time he saw her. Cam leaned over and kissed her shoulder softly. “Good morning beautiful.” He whispered.
