Papa V Perpetua
He totally crushed it up there
pursuit of eternity

Night on Bald Mountain - Perpetuas Orchestra
All this man misses to ultimate perfection is long hair
He doesn’t have the second most employee of the month awards for nothing.
Of course it goes without saying that I am hopelessly dependent on the ingot

I love his hands…idrk how to explain
don't you forget about dying
don't you forget about your friend death
Perpetua based on a dream I had
(He was younger and technically didn’t wear the face paint. His hair and outfit looked exactly like that though and I just had to draw it)
and a little more fucking the wound for my friend here please
Perpetua Sketches 💜
Sometimes the sketches I create for my Ko-Fi subscribers lead to larger projects, such as this painting. Initially inspired by the painting "Death as General Rides a Horse on a Battlefield" by Edgar Bundy, I gradually moved away from the original reference as I progressed, particularly in terms of the setting. There are many paintings depicting snowy landscapes that I love immensely, and which inspired me for this illustration. To name just a few, there were, for example: “Walkenried Abbey Ruins in Snow” and “Ruined cathedrals and monasteries” by Carl Hasenpflug for exemple.
I experimented quite a bit and, in the end, it was the aesthetic rather than the story to be told that guided my choices. That happens sometimes.
I hope you like it.

This illustration is available on my Inprint.
This is a gallery-quality giclée art print on 100% cotton rag archival paper, printed with archival inks.
At the request of a subscriber, I’ve also added two other pieces: an ink drawing of Perpetua in Richelieu armour and a Perpetua inspired by the Amadeus poster.
