Nights like these, though few and far between, are what makes Finland one of the best places in the world to spend the summer months. The silence is pervasive and with each passing hour the landscape is born anew, bringing forth an endless play of colours that never ceases to amaze me.

Back in the Game

As anyone who follows this blog (if there are such people out there) might have noticed, the past eleven months have been unusually quiet. During that time I have, among numerous other things, read 19 books, visited London, Saint Petersburg and Edinburgh (twice) and taken over 4,000 photographs. Yet somehow not a single word or photo has reached this site since August last year. However, as the title suggests, that is about to change.

The last time I tried turning this blog around (see “Changes”), nothing really changed and the site kept being flooded with the same pictures I had already posted on Instagram. As one might have expected, I soon grew tired of that and eventually stopped posting altogether.

Now the time has come for me to attempt reinvigorating this blog once again by embracing more varied content and by starting to use this site as an outlet for my ideas. Here’s hoping it all goes well so no more posts of this nature will be needed!
