Work From the Office While You’re at Home !
Have you ever had to take a personal day to be home with a sick child, or other relative?, or because of weather?
With Voice Over IP, you can be connected to your office from anywhere. Calls can be transferred to you just as though you were in the office, and your outgoing calls to clients come from your office number.
This is just one of many benefits to using VoIP over traditional phone service.
Back in 2008 we were working from a small office /warehouse space. We never had clients visit us, since we provided service on their premises, and some of our technicians would have to travel a while to get to the office, just to pick up their work orders and leave again.
I decided to close the office and have everyone work from home. Work orders got emailed, Technicians were on time to site more often, and we saved money on rent and utilities. We drop shipped equipment and supplies directly to the customer site, so everything was already there when the technician arrived, saving more time and money.
Using VoiP as either a desk phone in the home office, or as an app on our smartphones, we could call each other using just an extension number. Calls could be transferred so clients did not need to have anyone’s personal cell phone numbers.
In our example we used VoIP to completely eliminate the office and phone system, but for many businesses, they need to work mostly from their office. By using Voip they could have office based, home based, and mobile employees all on one system. We host the system in data centers with redundancy and emergency fail over built in to ensure reliability, and all you need is the phones and an internet connection. No more keysystem box to maintain and repair, and no more damage by lightning storms.
With all of the benefits of VoIP, business are typically still able to save around 30% compared with traditional phone lines, and that’s just on the monthly service. With no onsite equipment, you make savings there too !
