This is Part 1 of my ongoing series that tells a visual representative of how it feels like to have depression using hands as the subject to portray each photo and emotion.

Let it all out by Mike Alegado Via Flickr: "We fall. We grieve. We hate. We hurt. And these influx of emotions, we need to let it all out because this is the first step to self-recovery, to stand up and start again." Please Follow me on: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | website
Finding the way back by Mike Alegado Via Flickr: Lost in an unknown place I had never seen before, curiosity has led me astray, blinded by wonder. Now here I am finding my way back. I always wanted to put smoke in my photos but acquiring smoke bombs here in my country is a very slim chance so I decided to make some for myself(even the ingredients are hard to come by). I really love how it adds so much to the photo! I'll have to make more! Please Follow me on: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | website

Another photo from the trip and this time I used the pine leaves from a branch that fell off a tree(it broke a tent). Luckily no one was in the tent. So I just met this amazing person on a trip to the beach and randomly asked her if she could model for me because I loved the color of her hair! I explained it to her and agreed to do it! although I may have sounded like a crazy person. I had these mini parasols with me for this concept and was lucky enough to find someone with red hair! Immersed in contemplation by Mike Alegado Via Flickr: 258
So into the deep of thought that everything around you fades away and you end up focusing in the possibilities that lies in front of you and then, you realize it is as endless as the horizon.
I Shot this at Talisayen Cove between 6-7pm to do an exposure long enough to smooth out the water. The late sunset really gave moody colors to add to the photo. And the clouds really came well with the photo depicting a calm atmosphere. During the weekend when I was here I was able to meet and talk to so many new people. We'd talk about different things from traveling to life and passions. Model:Joan Belle Aquino Hair and Make-up: Bianca Umali Made possible by: Jaggy Gangat photography Thanks to Cayenne Camille for making the dress from scratch! I absolutely love working with models that work hard to achieve the vision that you have in mind. Not a lot of models are willing to try something new and crazy but Joan was all for it and trusted me with it! This is different from my usual on location shots, I have worked in a studio before but this is probably the first time I played with studio lights as the main light on the subject so it was a very nice experience. For the mood of the photo I wanted it to have like an underwater feel to it and at the same time achieve the surrealism of the scene. Vidanes, Nic Ramirez | VOV Productions Made possible by: Jaggy Gangat photography I was invited by a photographer friend to his Fashion shoot and everyone in the team was just amazing! Lights for the Fairies by Mike Alegado Via Flickr: 255 This image is inspired by artists http://www.runeguneriussen.no/ Rune Guneriussen and http://www.kindranikolephotography.com/ Kindra Nikole. I sketched this out a long time ago and was really excited to be able to finally do it. Although originally I had planned it to be a female subject but then it was unfortunate that there wasn't one with us that day. It took me 30 minutes to set everything up while the components for the props were premade prior to coming here. Restrained by Mike Alegado Via Flickr: 254 It's very rare for me to see photos in black and white but this one really hit the spot when I saw it. I've been feeling this way for some days now. Wanting to do things but unable to because of certain limitations. The Human Touch by Mike Alegado Via Flickr: 253 For decades we have been influencing nature in the worst possible way. Forests lost, animals disappearing and global warming. Although we are trying our best to restore nature, severe damage has been done and it could take a lifetime or even longer to recover from this. We should all do our part to save this beautiful planet we call home! Sorry for the lack of updates but it has been a very uninspiring week and I took a break from using too much of the computer. But I will be uploading a couple of photos soon and one of them has an elaborate set that I built!
