Having a Studio Weekend…

Made my second attempt at a small run of the illustration I just finished up and while they are still some thirsty prints, I think the texture and slight registration goofs give that hand printed charm ✨

Spiritualist community started renting out the space down the hall so I now get greeted by people looming around every Sunday 👀 They always are really excited to see me until they realize I’m not a new recruit…

So this project I’m working on involves several wall decal installations and after the print vendor installs this section I ask about the wrinkles and mis-matches where the panels meet.

He’s like “Well it’s never going to be perfect…”

Sure it’s not gonna be perfect but could it look better than it does??? 🫠

Messages found on Colfax... Working on screenprinted postcards of this illustration. I used to drive past this rundown bailbonds place daily on Colfax in Denver when I used to live out there. The marquee always had some sort of illegible message but I always wanted to draw it with my own. I realized this morning while prepping screens that I'm going to have to darken the linework to print these at the 4x6" size these were setup at, but I wanted to share the artwork, so here's the digital version.
