Second night in the forest. Making good progress. I'm exactly halfway to Pyhäjärvi as I should be. Should get easier from here since backpack is getting lighter and lighter as I devour my candy and chips emergency reserves. (at Kaarina)

First night in the forest, so far so good! No mosquitos made it to my tent, just ate 1300 calories of hot tuna pasta goodness and the birds are mostly silent. Also a good excuse to publish an old photo of baby great tits that thought I was their mother about to bring them food. (at Koski Tl)

The forest is calling me... Getting ready for a 4 day 100 km photography hike from Turku to Pyhäjärvi. Backpack weighs 24 kgs! 💪 Hope to get lots of great video and photos there, but probably won't publish during the trip since I don't have access to an editing rig. (at Kaarina)

Damselfly gymnastics. The blue damselfly desperately tried to fly and drag the green one with it from the neck, but the green's grip on the leaf was too strong. In the end they just froze in this position for a long time. Must have been tough on their core muscles! (at Rusko)

Was walking along a dirt road, when I noticed that one of the lupin petals was yellow. When I walked closer, the petal vanished! Then I walked around the plant, saw a bit of the petal, until it vanished again. Had to look from above the plant to find out that the yellow petal was actually a spider, which was very systematically staying behind the plant from my perspective! I had to tickle her from the other side to lure her into my camera's view. This species of spider can change its color to lure prey.
