Qatar Pavilion, Milano Expo 2015, MilanKaRaja USA Pavilion, Milano Expo 2015, MilanKaRaja "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life"-The theme of Milano Expo 2015 Ever since I first landed in Milan in 2010, there was this buzz in the air about a big event called the Expo 2015 to be held in Milan. Just like how in New Delhi, there was a lot of talk about the Common Wealth Games since 2005, I was not really expecting to find myself actually attending this event five years later. Milan as a city changed for this event. The Porto Ticinese are in Milan saw complete renovation. Milan got a new metro line, the Central station got renovated and Milan also got some new iconic commercial zone at Porta Nuova near Porta Garibaldi. Milan now has a vertical forest in the form of two beautiful buildings. Read recently that the Chinese are building some real huge buildings based on this idea. Apart from much criticism on corruption in a big event like the Milano Expo, I as
MilanKaRaja at amphitheater, Verona, Italy Weekend travels are always fun from Milan A day trip to Verona on the 14th of February, 2015 which fortunately happened to be a Saturday will probably remain as one of the best Valentine's day ever. To celebrate those memorable moments on this auspicious day, I have finally decided to Blog about it. I am a 29 year old Indian male btw, who loves action movies and falls really short in comparison to the other Italian guys around when it comes to "Romance". Verona, rainy day, MilanKaRaja.com Situated near the mighty Garda lake and the Adige river, this ancient city inhabited by the Romans served as the setting for Shakespeare's famous Romeo & Juliet. You also have an old
Here is a topic I have never cared enough to research in my life. Putting my trust on the government to provide best for me, I have left these discussions to the experts like these guys on this NDTV debate. Not any more I said as I finished watching that confusion among the participants. So I decided to dig deeper like most Indians by finding a more global debate on GMO. The interesting stake holders in this debate revolve around the big GMO producing companies that would like to establish a regular supply chain with farmers subscribing to these seeds. The changing dynamics of using GMO has motivated many Indian farmers to shift to cash crop cultivation hoping to make big profits in an unpredictable market which requires a higher fixed cost for purchase of seeds instead of reuse of seeds. When you get caught in the rat race and do what everyone else around is doing, ignoring cultivation of basic essential food in an organic environment which can actually lead to better sales in todays
