"Do you enjoy games?” The words slip out between pours of expensive liquor as she fills two shot glasses practically to their brims, the faint scent of tequila lingering in the air before the bottle is re-corked. “I learned a rather fun one recently. I believe it’s called drink or strip, which is fairly straightforward, but I’ll explain the rules anyway. Each of us asks the other a question of any sort and the person answering must do so truthfully. If one of us refuses to answer, we must either take the shot or remove an article of clothing.” Without awaiting an agreement, she pushes forward one of the filled glasses. “You may ask first.”

The air that filled his lungs was not as salty as he remembered, but then again, all Kalvin could recall was fire and nets. Fuck, he’d been captured and right when he was so close to going back home, his real home. The tall man shifted, groaning softly as his eyes batted open and he noticed with a stilling realization that he was in a cell. “Ahh, fuck this shit,” he muttered in a half groan, his head aching terribly as if he were hung over, but that wasn’t as bad as the burning on his arm. Kalvin didn’t feel normal, not anymore, there was still that call to the ocean but it felt as if he’d lost his voice and more than that, his tail.
The cells in the Chateau were... Well, as one might anticipate given what they housed. As the soles of her shoes padded against the floors, signaling an approach, she couldn’t help but overhear the lamented aggravation of one captive in particular. Granted the words were most certainly not gestured towards her in particular, the phoenix could hardly help but respond. “Now, I didn’t think I was that bad.” Mila mused outside of his enclosure, lacquered nails drumming along the barrier between them as she canted features to the side. “We haven’t even had the pleasure of introducing ourselves.”

There was nothing, not even a good look at the cold, hard truth, that would possibly get this hunter to admit he was screwed. No. He would have much called it an inconvenience. A misstep of sorts. But never a mistake on his part. Uh-huh. Yet he was..trapped, and he happened to in the middle of delivering some goods to whichever bastard who’d had the fun idea of requesting one of them slaves do it.
Quite ballsy, considering the aftermath of recent events.
The space was dimmly lit, neat, and a fresh autumn’s breeze brushed up against his body, making Daniel shiver lightly as he struggled lazily to zone in on the door number, avoiding the guard’s shoving here and there, whenever he would fail to place a step forward. Knocking a couple of times, the human rebel sucked a deep breath in despite his bad shape, and resisted the urge to toss the bags in his hands to the ground. “Fuckin’..”
Mila’s recent relocation to Crown Point did allow for some form of leeway in her behavior, at least until she gained her metaphorical sea legs for this place. Thus far she existed in a learning sphere, testing boundaries and asking for various favors if only to see where limits existed. Not that it would matter in the end, she held no intention of staying beyond a reasonable length of time. A knock upon her door was enough to draw mind from reverie and she swung open the barrier to reveal her requested delivery... And more. “There you are,” the phoenix cooed, almost patronizingly to the untrained ear. “Here I was so unbearably worried that you’d somehow gotten lost.” Plucking one of the bags from his hand, she stepped aside and gestured over the threshold of her temporary home. “Come in then.”
