I guess it is the benefit or the downside depending on how you look at it.  Siblings can either be a blessing or a curse.  The problem is figuring out which one they are.  You came on a quest?  That’s cool I guess.  Ah no actually I’ve only been in town for a little over a week.  My brother lives here so I came looking for him.

Yes! Ah, what a coincidence... Maybe this city holds some sort of vortex that attracts all our missing relatives? I'm also here to find a relative. Well, sort of... Oh, where are my manners... I'm Miles! Nice to meet you.

I don’t travel very well anymore, so I don’t know if I ever will see it. But I couldn’t handle a hostel. I’m probably too spoiled for that sort of thing. I’m Dixie by the way.

That's my first time at a hostel, to be quite honest. I usually visited family and friends in other states and cities so I had places to stay already But I am completely new to this town here! At least they've given me a map so I don't lose myself like a total doofus.

Well free pancakes is definitely a plus.  I’ve gotta give you that one.  Although I don’t think I’d like sharing a room.  Then again having some kind of shared room might be better than living on my brother’s couch.  But living on his couch is cheaper than a room so there is that.  So what brought you to Alexandria?

If you say so... I'd have to spend a night at your brother's couch to agree with you, but I'll take your word on that! If I had a brother here maybe I'd be up for couchsurfing in his place so that I could save more money, but that's the thing about being an only child, I guess?

I came here on a quest, actually! Also for the Masonic National Memorial! And you? Lived here ever since you were born or...?

You are lucky to be able to say sounds because I've seen it and it also looks horrible. Seriously, I wish I knew where these guys came from. I'm sure they are from the same place the Gremlins came from.

Dude, that sounds kinda disgusting.  I mean aren’t hostels like those places in Europe that are usually filled with drifters?  I didn’t even know we had those in the States.

Hahaha, I thought so, too, at first, but they are just, like, very cheap hotels with shared rooms. Mine comes with free pancakes for breakfast which I already consider a luxury. It's actually no big deal if you manage to use the showering stalls before all the ogres do. 

Still, cheapest option for a traveler to stay in and have extra money to visit museums and other places!

I think the first lesson I learned about hostels is that no matter how awesome and welcoming people might be, it doesn't mean they are neat. Better buy some flip flops to shower next time. Also teaching them how to brush their teeth.
