May I present my project for PuzzleJune 2026, out super soon? In 12 days!
SUMMARY: After a routine duel, Yuugi gets hit by a card and loses all of his memories about Atem. Everyone gathers to help him gain them back.
@x-puzzlejune-x offered ODYSSEY and HOME
And I take them both :D
There's sweetness in this story, and much love. I added just a pinch of angst. I chose to talk memory once again, in a choir that celebrates, I hope, many of its forms and how it sticks to the places we loved so fondly, once... or forever.
I hope your curiosity is at least a small bit challenged! If so, meet me June 1st! I will release 2 chapters at a time, for 4 weeks.
Small preview is under the cut.
Thanks for the prompts!

As many of you know from my previous productions I SIMPLY ADORE playing with skins and taking advantage of AO3 being a digital media and not just a book.
This time, my production contains normal-writing and smutty-writing, but I couldn't avoid some shit-writing like:
-
It was Katsuya to call themย glitchesย first.
Yuugi gave the name credit, so it stayed. Unexpected behaviors happening here and there. Strays of dark energy, the shed skin of old Shadow Games that hadn't quite finished dissolving. The gang started thinking they never would, since they were happening twelve years after the Ceremonial Battle, still.
Glitches came from the most different times and places.
Once, it had been a lost ka wandering Domino's train system and opening automatic doors out of sequence. Another time the glitch was a ghost that smelled powerfully of sulfur and scared a salaryman into finally calling his estranged brother. Katsuya fervently maintained that one was a malevolent alien glitch. Ryou, with his peculiar familiarity with these matters, said it was just a disoriented soul-fragment.ย
Not all glitches were evil. Some were sad, some angry, and some were simply lost.
Their nature was different in kind, but each shared the same way of acting: possession.
Be it a spirit, a ka, a ghost, a demon, an angel or a deity. They exploited rips between their dimension and ours, and sneaked in. Luckily, they were weak. Each time, the resolution was quick and clean: a duel to chase them back, stitch the rip, and free both host and ghost.
It was deeply anticlimactic. Which was all in all, fine. Anticlimactic is very much underrated, Yuugi thought. Monster of the day became a fun activity in the last years. He, Katsuya, Ryou and Atem had turns in dueling and kicking them out. Any Puzzle piece reacted to their energy, so it was easy to spot their activities.
Each of the members of a group baptized "Glitch stitchers" by Katsuya himself always had a Puzzle piece with them. Spotting a glitch, they advised the group to chase it out, and stitch the rip. Seto silenced the group a long time before, Yuugi suspected, because even if he was inside it, he never read any message or reacted or showed up at any duel. Rumor had it that he once stitched a glitch by himself, without telling anyone.ย
I wrote a fanfiction for the wonderful @wuzzy90 these 2 past months! I hope it was enough I put care! <3 you can also read it of course, it's a teenage-coded story of pining and yearning told of course through smut!
Since I promised, here's my playlist for it, and the link for the fic in the end! It is a prideshipping fanfiction this time. I tried to render the prompt at my best! If you want to visit, I'll be happy. :)

Summary:
They challenged each other. They chased each other. They loved each other. Not necessarily in that order.
It's tragic: as much as I'd love my writing to be described as "feels like calm after a storm"...this specific story is 1,5k words of Keith whump, with the most graphic description I've made of a character burning alive.
Something very heartwarming, if you will, but not exactly calm.
[Side note: it did remind me that I didn't share this story here. It's a companion fic to @scorp2510's VLD/HSR crossover (which I affectionately call the KIAverse, since its first fic is KIA - Killed In Action.) I'm not sure many of you are into such a crossover, but it was the first flash-fic I wrote in a while, so here goes: The Pyre, VLD/HSR crossover on AO3. I need to remember posting my stories on AO3 and sharing the links on Tumblr more often. I have a stupid backlog.]
Anyway.
The comment disappeared since, but I'm slightly concerned that this is a Registered User, which means scammers now manage to make accounts in spite of the invitation system.
In my case, I'm somewhat blasรฉ about it, since I'm not exactly looking for comments when I post (don't get me wrong, I love receiving them! And being enthusiastic along with readers is so cool! But I mostly post on AO3 for archiving purposes first and readers later.)
But for writers who really rely on comments to remain motivated, receiving something like this and realising it's fake might be devastating.
This is, thus, your regular reminder to comment on the fics you like, so that writers know that REAL PEOPLE actually, genuinely enjoy their work. Comment with your own words, with your own feelings. Emoji and keysmashes also work. Just be yourself and don't overthink it.
DON'T LET CHATGPT WRITE YOUR COMMENTS FOR YOU.
DON'T LET CHATGPT RUIN THE STORIES YOU LOVE READING.
You have words in your head that ChatGPT can't ever get from you!
Use them!
I mean this STOP GENERATING, it fries your brain. It takes away your words, it kills your creativity slowly and it will be so hard to recover it.
Write a little less, read a little less, comment a little less, but do it YOURSELF.
Trust your brain and trust your emotions! Trust that any comment produced by you is better than feeding an algorithm and copy paste like a parrot.
Slow down, take your time!
STOP treating and creating and consuming fic and art like drugs.

Masaya, thank you so much for your fantastic work! You brought my fic to life!
I love it so much!๐ฉท๐๐ฉท
The kiss is so full of emotions, so romantic!
Their outfits, the fires, Yugi's ponytail, these colors! I'm melting! ๐ซ ๐ซ
It's the kissing scene from my fanfiction "When Magic Falls Silent":
Summary:
When Yugi, a Silent Magician, joins the royal court, Prince Atemโs world ignites - literally. His hidden love for Yugi begins to eat him from the inside out, draining his power and only two cures exist: confess, or forget him forever.
But how does Yugi feel?
Will the King allow it?
And can Atem reclaim his magecraft before love costs him everything?
Sometimes, some projects are so beautiful and ambitious that you're not sure you'll give them the shape they deserve.
This was the case for The Last Duelists, by @millenniumcomics.
Last year, ValeHikari release an astounding work, 75k words of epic Prideshipping CYOA. I was lucky to beta it, and from the moment I started playing, I knew it would become a binding project. Except, I didn't have the means or knowledge to put it together the way I wished just yet.
In less than a year, I worked a lot on my technique (and invested a lot of time and a little bit of money for materials), so much so that I finally felt confident enough to tackle the project for Vale's birthday.
And here it is, now: the book itself, 364 pages typeset on Affinity (finding the font Newt Serif was one of the highlights of this project!)
It's a bit of a strange bind, as I was first aiming at a soft cover, but quickly realised it wouldn't work well and ended up turning it into a hardcover otabind. The cover is laser printed holo foil, the illustration is the Dark Magical Circle. Endpapers are decorative papers from a wallpaper shop (!) They're thick and convenient to work with, even if they're long grain so the text is sideways.
Vale put together so many resources (including an official website with all the tools needed to play) that it only felt natural to make a complete set of it: I put together a quick handbook of rules to go along, and printed and laminated the logbook which, paired with an erasable marker, will allow to play and replay!
And of course, I added a die of my favourite colour (purple gold) with it, because what's a game without dice? ๐
(Says the TCG player. Shhh.)(We do use dice. Occasionnally.)
I'm a little miffed at my slightly too-small margins, but everything else is exactly how I envisioned it. Then againโwhen the work itself has been so thoroughly prepared, things tend to fall together rather simply. In spite of the length, the typeset was a breeze to make, the first (and only so far) time where I didn't even need to review anything. The logbook was already fully designed. Everything looked already so good.
Overall, it was an honor to bind this masterpiece and I loved every minute of it. Almost as much as I loved DYING HALF A BILLION TIMES while playing it. And it's a very special moment, when you're able to gift a bound book to its author. I'm keeping this in my heart.
Thank you so much for all your work on this, Vale, and for bearing with me so often no matter what ๐
And everyone else, seriously... go play it, it's so cool. Even if it's SO HARD. Really true to the good old CYOA books I played when I was a kid.
My luck in having such friends is the highest ever.
It's hitting jackpot I swear.
I cried but it was simply not enough to show how grateful I am. I will invite you into wonderland again and again, and really, I would give you anything and everything if I could.
I feel so lucky to get to roll around in this joy this friendship brought me so unexpectedly and so deeply.
It was so satisfying to live it, so I'm beyond happy it made you happy enough to bind for me! It gives me hope that there's good and light.
You are the one taking me on a rollercoaster of emotions, LIA.
