This March was organized by a group of young brothers with the desire to make a change. The march is scheduled to take place January 10th, 2015 at 3 pm starting in Millennium Park Downtown Chicago. We march to stand in solidarity with the #BlacklivesMatter protests and activists from across the nation that also share the same desire for an end to all forms of discrimination and police brutality, an end to the School to Prison Pipeline, the exploitation of our culture in the media, freedom from mass incarceration, an end to the Prison Industrial Complex and stand firm against the senseless violence within our communities! We are calling all organizations, churches, activist groups, schools and citizens in the communities across the Chicago Metropolitan area to take a stand against the injustices that are present within our communities here and across the US as we march in a day of unity to shut down Chicago. America didn’t just decline to indict these police officers. We have declined, repeatedly, and on prime-time, to afford black people basic rights and due process when we are denied those rights. Looks like police in Chicago have a tricked out surveillance truck equipped with cell site simulators, a.k.a. Stingrays, that force nearby phones to send data to cops instead of to phone company cell towers. Did those cops get a warrant for that?

UPDATE: Anonymous has released a video featuring what appear to be Chicago police radio transmissions revealing police wiretapping of organizers’ phones at the protests last night the day after Thanksgiving, perhaps using a stingray. The transmissions pointing to real-time wiretapping involve the local DHS-funded spy ‘fusion’ center.
For those doubting this.. Chicago PD admitted to purchasing cell phone spying devices back in October of this year. (x)
