In a disappointing and not shocking turn of events, I’ve seen people on TikTok prove my last post even further by saying they won’t play the game if they won’t see Leon, don’t want Claire to be with Steve, and posted a picture of Leon in the comments of a video about Code Veronica.
For those just now tuning in and didn’t see my original post or my repost of a repost where I had to reexplain myself to someone who stupidly thought i was hating on ships and not the stupid shit the shippers were doing- I made a post explaining how not everything is about a man(Leon in this case), and hating on Ada or Claire because the other is “In the way” of their ship is fucking stupid and misogynistic.
Anyways-
TO THOSE UNAWARE! LEON IS NOT IN CODE VERONICA! HE IS OFF BEING FORCED TO WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT. LEAVE THE HOT FICTIONAL MAN OUT OF THIS MESS, HE DOESN’T BELONG IN IT EXCEPT FOR A BRIEF MENTION IF EVEN THAT.
Stop making a game about the Redfield siblings (Honestly people have decided it’s mostly Claire’s game for a long time now) about someone who is only mentioned in an email in the original (and if I’m not mistaken only appears in a no longer canon novel where he is literally vomiting while trying to contact Chris).
Contrary to popular belief, not everything is about Leon. We’ve gotten several games with him in it in the last couple of years. You will survive one game without him. Claire hasn’t been in a game since 2017. Shut up and let us have this without bringing up Leon.
Don’t reduce Claire to a girl with a crush or a romantic interest. The point of Code Veronica is to find Chris. She couldn’t care less about her romantic life when she is fighting for her actual life.
I swear to god you all piss me off and I’m not afraid to try and hurt your feelings at this point just to get my point across. The fictional dick cannot be that good.
