Finally did a proper picture with Chris Kong and Rodan Claire!
Claire and Chris got contaminated with Rodan and Kong DNA cells while trying to investigate a Bio-Weapons lab that had ties to the same one that caused Leon's current problem, and ironically they get infected pretty much the same way.
Leon at this point has control over his mutation, but Chris and Claire don't, and they have to spend the next month camping outside the base until they do. It's too dangerous for them to stay inside a building while they have no control over their transformations and ripping apart a tent is better than demolishing an entire building. (This is something they learned quite quickly with Leon's predicament)
((Claire LOVES flying. She spends most of her time getting a feel for it, zipping around and playfully dive bombing a terrified Leon and Chris for practice.))
((During this time, Leon visits Chris and Claire often, transforming on purpose so he can safely chill out with them. While he thinks it's an act of solidarity, instinctually he's doing this as a form of Kaiju pack bonding.))
((This bonding instinct affects all three of them, creating a bunch of awkward and funny moments. Sleep/cuddle piles, grooming each other with claws and tongue, small play fights, etc. Thankfully this ONLY affects them while they're Kaiju and something they don't feel compelled to do when they're human.))
Since Leon has a Gabumon named Blue, would Luis have a digimon too? Like a Falcomon or a Terriermon?
So I'm not 100% sure on these yet, but these are the partners I picked so far for at least Chris, Claire, Luis, and Sherry. Not sure when I'll draw stuff for them but it's a thought for later!

Claire felt her heart drop to her stomach after Leon opened his eyes after eating one of the fries that she’d gotten for him. His pupils had turned into slits, and the black had been overtaken by a vivid blue. Scales had started to form, dotting under his eyes, face and neck. To her horror, Leon didn’t seem to realize what was happening to him by the way he raised an eyebrow and tilted his head.
“What, is something on my face?” he asked, revealing sharpening teeth. Claire felt dread pool in her stomach as her heart pounded in her ears, watching Leon's face turn to even more confusion as her face fell. Then came the grinding snap pop. His gaze went down, eyes wide as his breath hitched in his throat. Claire followed his gaze down and watched as bone and muscle shift under the skin before resettling, finger nails starting to sharpen, and scales erupted across his arms, as bone and muscle again shifted. Leon’s other hand jolted upwards, pads brushing gingerly across changing teeth. The way Leon’s face turned to that of horror made Claire’s heart pound.
A pained and confused grunt sent Leon lurching forward as something cracked in his chest. Claire was already up, grabbing his wrist and not even stopping for Leon to gain his balance. She just pulled.
“We need to run! Can you run?!” Claire said to him, though she knew he wasn’t paying much attention to her. A worker squawked as she charged past, Leon in tow. She didn’t even need to see the changes happening; she could feel it! Under her hand, Claire could feel the popping snap of Leon’s wrist as she pulled him through the halls, the tough scaled hide forming under her hands. She could hear the fabric tear as it gave way for the dorsal fins erupting from his back, his chest expanding to give room for… Claire didn’t even want to think about it.
“Out…. siiide!” Claire chanced a look behind her, fear welling in her stomach. Oh god he was growing, he had to be at least 3 feet taller than her, scales having completely covered his right arm, most of his left, and his neck, and light brown trailing down his neck and chest. Cyan spikes shuddered as his shoulders jolted up with a snapping pop as they grew in size. His face, oh god his face. Tears streaking down his cheeks, past teeth poking up past his lips, and it was pushing outwards, making it look more muzzle-like. “Can’t!” The word came out pained. At this rate, they wouldn’t even make it outside.
Claire whipped her head forward, nearly squawking as she nearly ran face first into the door. Door! Arm raised, she shoved it open, running maybe 10 feet before Leon broke away from her, again his shoulders jumping as he charged and stumbled. His feet had broken through the inside shoes provided from him, resembling that of the form he took a week ago. The sound of more fabric ripping, and what remained of his shirt fluttered to the ground or combusted at the wave of heat that suddenly came off of Leon. A tail ripped free from a pant leg, whipping in sync with the groaning snarls and whimpers that deepened with each growth spurt, rending anything human sounding an after thought.
A hand was now across her mouth, watching on in horror as Leon doubled, no, tripled in size. And she could only watch with sinking horror the same creature that appeared on the news just a week ago, emerge from her friend. Slowly, the cracking, snapping, popping, and grinding sounds slowed before coming to a complete stop. Claire watched as Leon slowly moved, raising his now massive head to look down at his stumpy looking fingers. A whine filled the air in place of bird song, that only got louder as he turned his head to her, blond hair moving with the motion. Watery blue eyes looked at her in fear, another whine sounding far more reedy slipping past sharp teeth.
Claire swallowed hard, taking a step towards the massive nose that had been stretched out alongside Leon’s mouth. Another whine slipped out, and Leon shuffled slightly, as if he was readjusting himself. His gaze darted to his back side, and covered his eyes with almost useless hands, a whine that sounded more embarrassed than anything slipping out. Claire wanted to laugh, she really did! But she also didn’t want to hurt Leon’s feelings with everything that's happened to him so far. So instead, she leaned her weight onto his muzzle, stopping a rumbling sound midway through his apparent displeasure.
“It’s ok.” Claire couldn’t stop, the words just tumbling out. “It’s going to be ok. We’re going to fix this!” Claire held her breath as she felt his jaw move, and a puff of moist warm air blasted her midsection as a soft crooning(?) sound left Leon. “Your going to be ok! I just… Rebecca, I need to get Rebecca, ok?” Another croon, this time sounding more whiney. “I’ll be right back, ok! Right back!” Claire pushed off Leon’s nose, another crooning whine leaving him as she jogged to the building’s entrance, having to shove past the growing crowd ogling at Leon with bright curiosity. “Move! This isn’t a dinner and show, GO!” Claire hollowered, scattering a few of the onlookers. She had to ignore the quiet rumble from Leon as she vanished further into the building.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for Claire to find Rebecca, given the fact that it seemed everyone seemed to be whispering about what had just happened. Don’t think it helped that they nearly smacked into each other racing around the corner. Rebecca’s expression was wild, and she was slightly winded as if she’d been sprinting.
“Leon?” She asked, and Claire only nodded, pushing herself back into a sprint as Rebecca followed suit, hot on her heels. More people had gathered, many of them looking horrified(One had their hand over their mouth, trying to hold back retching as another led them away), some looking pale, and others clearing the way for the two. Leon was making a sound that Claire could only describe as a wail, or at least, as close to a wail as a lizard could make. He was still laying flat on his belly, hands pressed against his head as he tried to keep talons from digging into his skull.
Claire once again brought her hand to her mouth. Whatever was happening to Leon, wasn’t stopping. He shrank, he grew, scales vanished then reappeared, pupils trying to return to black only for the blue to remain. Leon was at war with his body. Claire charged forward, Rebecca still at her heel, and skid into the grass where Leon was pressing his now small head into the grass. It was still muzzle shaped, teeth still poking over his lips as near pure blue eyes stared up at her, tears welling in his eyes before dissipating against his heated skin. Scales pebbled thickly over his face, trying to make way for smooth skin.
“Huuuuuurrts….” Was all Leon managed to get out, posture stiff as his back arched to the sky, the dorsal fins jumping at the growth spurt only to resettle. A weak moan of pain spilled from his misshapen features as Claire pulled his head into her lap, another wailing sound spilling out of him as Rebecca started to take his vitals. Leon raised an arm, ready to wrap it around Claire before freezing and thinking better of it, and let it drop to the grass.
“I know… I know…” Claire hummed, her own voice thick with emotion as again, the sounds of bone and sinew rearranging slowly came to a stop(Leon let loose a soft wailing moan when it finally did, tears still spilling from him). Rebecca looked to Claire, her gaze filled with worry as Leon wheezed in relief. Still he shuddered, and Claire didn’t blame him. This wasn’t how she was expecting her day to go, by any means, wake or form. Though… Claire’s gaze briefly darted down before landing back to Leon's pain filled features. The poor man had nothing to cover himself with. And anything they did, would have been dirty(Turning into a 25 foot tall lizard and back was not going to be good for his clothes. Leon lets out another whining rumble, softer than before, but still loud.
“We’re going to figure this out, Leon.” Claire hummed, ignoring the soft feeling of something stirring in her chest. Seasonal allergies. That's what she could attribute to the others. She could worry about the burning fire in her lungs at a later date.

OH MAN POOR LEON!!!! YIKES. This ALL sounds REALLY painful, especially since he's crying!
THIS WAS AWESOME THOUGH! Love how Leon was gradually changing before Claire got his ass out of the building, and his little sad rumbles he kept making after!
Oh man though, the part where his body kept fluctuating between forms was BRUTAL. You could tell that SHIT HURT and him finding some relief with Claire was very sweet!
(Not gonna lie, This makes me want to draw some body horror of him being stuck between stages.....( ✧≖ ͜ʖ≖)

This is REALLY GOOD! Armor can be tricky to draw but you did an AWESOME job with it! Love the helmet and chain mail but I also love Leon's tired, yet confused face in the corner.

Top one is Rookie Leon and Veteran Leon having a race for fun, and the bottom one is showing what Leon will look like when he's 120 years old, his normal Infection RE4 self, and what Rookiebug Leon will look like when he gets to Veteran's age.
@polarspaz silly idea I'm putting here for posterity. The hunters in Bloodborne have a line of "perfumes" / "smelling salts" whose entire purpose is to basically rub under the nose or wear under the mask to block out the horrific stench of death... They're called things like "beast musk" and "ode to moonlight" and "yharnam yew".
The smell that everyone comments on hunters as having is just the perfume/cologne equivalent they DRENCH themselves in

I LOVE this idea cause back in the day Plague doctors would line their masks with flowers to mask the scent of death, as it was believed that bad smells or sickly odors could spread disease.
Plus the hunters are basically part beast now, considering their hands literally morph into claws when they do a visceral attack, so I would imagine their sense of smell has been enhanced too. And do you know how BAD it would STINK in Yharnam considering it's modeled slightly after Victorian London? All those dead bodies, dried blood, THE SEWER SMELL ALONE, would probably make most hunters want to puke on the side of the street.
Sure you can become nose blind after awhile but some days man, IT MUST STINK. SO I LOVE THIS IDEA!
OKAY, here's what everyone has been waiting for...
So a massive outbreak occurs in Nevada and it's bad enough that anyone who is either willing or able, is called in. Leon arrives with Chris and Jill, and they're tasked with cleaning out a infected part of the Vegas strip. They need to stop the spread and hold back the hoard so they can give civilians enough time to escape.
Its not easy though, whatever has infected everyone seems to be an amped up version of the T-virus, considering that almost every zombie they encounter is either a Crimson head or a full blown Licker.
There's no time for chatter as they three throw themselves against the hoard and after awhile Leon finds himself falling into that familiar, deadly dance he learned in Yharnam and creates a shower of gore. Infected blood splatters all over him and he instinctively darts his tongue across his lips to taste it, and freezes.
It tastes just like Eldritch blood.
It's like his whole body has been doused in liquid fire, and he before he can even comprehend what he's doing, he's got his teeth buried into the neck of Licker. His axe and gun clatter uselessly onto the ground as he starts tearing into the infected with his bare hands, trying to get as much blood as he can from his prey.
He's not really aware that he's changing, his body rapidly transforming into a beast with the more blood he consumes. He doesn't know how much time passes either, but when it's over he's surrounded by an ocean of red and piles of half eaten corpses.
Someone is yelling at him, but they don't smell like prey, so he ignores them, deciding to groom himself before heading out to look for more blood. He's unable to do so though, flinching when he feels several darts pierce his side, and snarls in offense before he passes out.
Hours later he wakes up in a bare room reeking of chemicals and with no visible escape. He paces the room in furious anger, banging his body against the wall a couple of times to try and get out, but as time passes his mind slowly begins to focus.
He becomes more aware, and the horrifying realization that he's become a beast just like Gascoigne has him wailing in shame. He tucks himself into the corner in a pitiful attempt to hide, covering his muzzle and eyes with his giant clawed hands.
Then, like some fucked up fairy tale, his body begins to begins to change back. It's painful and slow, but soon enough he's back to being human again and he can't help but nearly sob in relief.
Chris and Jill come in moments later, matching looks of relief and horror on their faces, and Leon guesses he's probably sporting a similar look himself.
((Unfortunately for Leon, Infected blood tastes just as good as Eldritch blood, so if he gets blood drunk and consumes enough of it, he will turn into a beast. However because of the traces of Elpis in his blood, he can change back into a human if he detoxes enough.))
((Leon won't attack regular humans when he's a beast and only regards those with infected blood as prey, that also means he CANNOT be around Sherry when he's like this. It actually TERRIFIES Leon that he could hurt her, so he kinda starts to avoid her. All he can think of is Gascoigne's wife, her mutilated body lying inches from his feet, but now with Sherry's lifeless face.))
((The beast form on the bottom left with the tail and back tentacles is basically Leon's phase two if he was a boss. If he gets injured enough he'll takes this from and has the ability to produce electricity from his tentacles and mouth.))
After getting his promised bag of cheeseburgers and 3 hour long shower, it's decided that Chris will stay with Leon at his apartment, and Claire will look after Rosemary in the meantime. Everyone is bit concerned about Leon's mental state, even more so when Leon doesn't even object to the plan, agreeing that he shouldn't be alone right now.
Rebecca comes over and immediately gives Leon an examination. Leon tells her everything he knows about the Blood-Vials, and Rebecca is not happy to hear that Leon's been essentially micro dosing himself with something that's the equivalent to the T/G virus all night long.
It doesn't help that her concern only grows the longer she looks him over. She notes that he features look like they've been mixed together with some kind of beast. He's got sharp fangs, his finger nails are thick and sharp like a cat, his eye's are reflective in the dark, and his hair feels like dense fur.
He also had this weird musk coming off him, a strange scent that was a mixture of beast, flowers, and blood. His psychical also showed his sense of smell and hearing had increased greatly and his reflexes where far faster than the average human now.
Done with her exam, Rebecca takes a sample of Leon's blood to test in the lab. In the meantime Leon is off duty and home bound until he recovers, while Rebecca figures out what happened to him and how fucked his DNA was now.
The first few weeks at Leon's apartment with Chris are also interesting to say the least. Leon is horrified when he starts to see shit that Chris can't, like little nightmare creatures that frantically crawl around the rooms, or the numerous Eldritch eyes that peer at him from the shadows. Leon tires he best to ignore them, gritting his teeth against the primal fear flooding his veins while treating them as minor annoyances.
Honestly the worst part for him was the blood withdrawals. He craved the taste of rich, creamy copper, so much so that he pinned Chris to the wall one day when they man cut his finger while cooking. He licked the blood clean off, but only snarled in anger when all he tasted was bland, watery liquid, and not the sweet ambrosia he craved. (Needless to stay the rest of the day was awkward as fuck after that happened.)
Thankfully, Leon's craving for Eldritch blood becomes manageable and it seems like he may get to live a regular life still.....right?

((Leon has told Chris basically everything that happened to him in Yharnam. Chris believes him, he kinda has to considering he saw Leon crawl out of a POOL OF BLOOD that materialized out of nowhere. He feels bad for Leon, especially when he sees the other man tense up and look at something that he can't see. It creeps him out too, cause it reminds him of an animal reacting to a ghost. He can't see it, but he trusts Leon enough to believe that something might actually be there.))
((Leon only saw it briefly, but he thinks he may have spotted a messenger in the window once, but it faded as soon as he looked directly at it.))
So this AU actually focuses more on what happens to Leon after the events of Bloodborne btw.
Leon is is able to kill nearly all the monsters he encounters without much struggle, but after he kills Rom the Vacuous Spider, things start going downhill really fast. With Rom's death, the fabric of reality has been torn asunder, and it starts to affect Leon's psyche. The *things* he's seeing, along with the cosmic chanting he can hear constantly, and the smell of sweet blood clouding his senses, steadily chip away at his tired mind.
By the time he gets to Murgo's Wet Nurse he feels manic, the shadows around him are twisting into familiar faces that both mock and comfort him, but he ignores them and pushes forward. He tries to block out the madness around him and focus everything he has on this last fight.
For once he doesn't care how many Blood vials he uses, needing them now more than ever. He's never moved so fast in his life, dodging and hitting back with speed and strength he knows would be impossible for a normal human, but he doesn't care, he just wants this damn night to end.
He wins, and his vision fades as he wakes back up in the Hunter's dream. Gehrman tells Leon he can finally go home, all he must do is accept his death in this dream and he will wake up back his world. Leon accepts readily, he's felt the pain of death enough at this point that he's not afraid, he just wants to go home.
Gehrman brings out his scythe, and with one clean swipe, cuts off Leon's head.
When Leon comes back to awareness, he notices he's submerged in a pool of red water. He swims up to the surface and frantically tries to pull himself out, and looks up to see Claire and Chris looking at him in utter shock. Thankfully Chris shakes it off and grabs his hand before pulling him out of what appears to be a pool of blood.
Apparently he's been missing for days and while they've been trying to look for him, a puddle of blood suddenly materialized in front of them, and out came Leon! When they ask where he's been, Leon let's out a hysterical laugh before saying. "..I..I think I killed Cthulhu??..or at least his babysitter?"
He ignores their looks of obvious concern at his deranged, but true comment, and simply demands two things from them. A bag filled with cheeseburgers and 3 hour long shower.
Ok so asking for the whole class, but does Leon(Or the others) have really any control of when the kaiju out? Or is it entirely circumstancel? Or are they like Luis who magics himself as a human cause he's a moth? ASKING FOR A WRITING BIT
At first they don't have any control.
This only lasts for about a month, but after that, the mutation kinda 'settles', and then they're able to transform back and forth when they want to.
There are still accidents of course. Feeling REALLY angry, being very stressed out, or feeling very scared can trigger an involuntary transformation. Being around other hostile Kaiju will also give them an instinctual urge to change shape, so they can better defend themselves.
Luis's situation is different because unlike the others, he wasn't infected, but reborn as a mini Kaiju, so he's uses magic to take on a human form. He can only do this when he's fully matured into his moth form, he can't take on a human shape when he's a grub.
Okay okay. I’ve had this thought for a while since I saw the Leonzilla plush. What does it look like by itself, you know I just wanna gush at his cuteness! I hope Leon inspects how cute and chubby the plush is, probably upset at the inaccuracy or disbelief if he actually looks like that to the public.
Just ahhh this AU has a chokehold on me right now.
TA-DAH! It's Sherry's favorite plush. She's got 20 others, but this one is no only the softest, but also the best one to cuddle with.
and for anyone else that would like to make the thing, I used cuddle/minky fabric plus felt for the mouth, teeth and hair. And free patterns from Cholyknight, specifically the main body of their Dragonite pattern, plus the spikes, ears, mouth, and teeth of the Godzilla pattern. and then freehanded the hair from scrap fabric until I got something close enough to transfer to felt.
luckily my sibling has an embroidery machine so they could help with the eyes, nostrils and footpads, but those can all be done with appliques if you don't have access to one.

Think you could tell us more some about Matilda in rookiebug au? Like, when did Leon first realise this was a parasite infection, or that the parasite was sapient? When did her protective instincts first make themselves known?
So as the night goes on, Matilda's emotions gets stronger and more pronounced, and it confuses Leon A LOT. He has no idea he has a parasite inside him, he only thinks he's just been physically mutated. So when he starts feeling these weird protective emotions that don't belong to him, he think it might be a sign of trauma or shock.
It's not until they get to the underground labs and read some of Luis's notes does Leon realize he's carrying another passenger inside him, and that those weird foreign emotions he's been feeling were coming from it, and not him.
And Now that it's been pointed out, Leon is hyper aware of Matilda's presence and at first, it scares the shit outta him.
But that fear quickly dissipates after he realizes she's been helping him all night by warning him of danger and keeping him calm. When he was little, Leon never really had a chance to get to know his mother before she died, so getting to experience some form of motherly love, even though it's from a parasite, was kinda nice???
(He honestly realizes his situation could be FAR worse too, cause at least his parasite is nice and not evil or insane?)
As to WHEN Leon first notices that Matilda is more sapient and intelligent than he realized, that would be during he last tussle with Birkin. She basically tells Leon it's going to be okay, that they can handle this fight and that no matter what, she won't let him die.

These little buggers ADORE Leon. Every time he talks with them they'll start climbing all over him, wheezing in ghoulish, but happy delight.
((This isn't canon but I lowkey get the vibe that the messengers might be the spirits of dead children and infants. Maybe the Moon Presence took pity on them and gave them new life and purpose? I dunno, but that's what's going on in this AU.))
((The bow Leon is giving the messenger is from Gascoigne's young daughter, who gave him the ribbon as gift, after he brought her safely to Oedon chapel. Leon hasn't told her yet that he's the one who had to kill her father, but the poor thing kinda already knows, but she doesn't hate Leon. He's actually the only thing keeping her going right now, especially after finding out that her father and mother are now dead.))
((Leon manages to kill Gascoigne, the Cleric beast, and the Blood starved beast before dying for the first time and entering the Hunter's dream. He's been tying not to use blood vials after learning what they do from the hunter Eileen, but being almost 50 years old and fighting speedy monsters all night with limited healing, allows a minor enemy to get a lucky hit on an exhausted Leon and kill him.))
((Meeting Gehrman is interesting and creepy for Leon. Like despite looking decrepit, Leon can tell Gehrman's not what he seems, can tell the man's still lethal and probably has killed just as much as Leon, if not more. Seeing Gehrman is like looking at alternate version of himself, one who is trapped in endless cycle of despair and death.))
((The doll creeps Leon out at first too, but the more he talks with her, the more he starts to warm up to her. It's kinda hard not too, especially when she's the only thing that treats him with any sort of kindness in this blood drenched world.))
This was actually in the works for awhile, but after hearing the cries for Bloodborne Leon, I caved, and I'm posting it early! So here's Leon fighting Father Gascoigne!
Obviously Leon gets plucked out of his reality and into the world of Yharnam by the Moon Presence and made into a hunter after the events of RE9. He's tasked with the responsibility of killing a BUNCH of monsters, along with another Eldritch entity before he's allowed to go back to his own world. ((Basically the same at the Elden RIng AU, but Bloodborne flavored, and with only Leon.))
((OH, There's also the fact that Leon has to depend on using Blood Vials to heal himself, which is actually what's causing the people of Yharnam to turn into monsters, and it's also addictive. So, surely there won't be any consequences for using this or anything.....)))
