Introduction!

Hello hello!

My name is Mina Ribbonheart. Where I'm from doesn't really matter, just know that if you go looking for it you won't find anything but a void. My pronouns are they/it, or occasionally she/her.

I am a scientist and a tinkerer -- I originally studied mythicals, particularly the artifacts they occasionally leave behind, and how those artifacts might be harnessed. I haven't been able to continue that research for quite some time now, but the progress I made was quite significant, and did save my life at one point.

I am also a sylveon- or, well, a hybrid. I'm pretty much what people would describe as an "anthro", though I tend to just call myself a sylveon for convince' sake.

Overall, I tend to enjoy anything that involves folklore, metaphysics, legendaries/mythicals, electronics, engineering, computers, or pretty much any other nerdy thing you can think of. If you can see someone wearing a labcoat of some variety doing it, I'm probably interested in it to some extent!

I have two pokemon of my own. The first is a Zorua named Vinegar -- my mother gave him to me, and she told me she named him for how mean and sour he acts towards everyone. Except me, apparently, because this bastard is the most cuddly Zorua I have ever met, but *only* for me.

The second 'mon is a Porygon-Z named Debug. They were originally a working 'mon I got to help me debug some lab equipment, but we ended up bonding after a while, and I've ended up modding 'em to hell and back by now. That thing could probably break through almost any firewall or security system you can think of that isn't being actively guarded by other Porygon.

Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy your time here! I don't know how often I'll be posting, but we'll see.

(Right! Hello! The author behind this blog is @gracien-system, and because this is a sideblog, we follow from there, and we'll send asks through there if you have anons off.

Anyways, we use parenthesis for OOC and italics for actions [when applicable], but otherwise everything should be context-dependent.

Pelipper Mail is enabled, Pelipper unmail and Malice are disabled. Musharna Mail and Malice are both enabled. Magic anons are enabled on a case-by-case basis, if we don't want it to happen, we'll either post it with an OOC note voiding it, or just delete it.

This blog is likely to cover themes of loneliness, isolation, death, and other similarly heavy topics from time to time. We are *NOT* good at consistently tagging stuff, but we will try to tag posts that deal with stuff like that with #serious-moments.

If/when important lore posts or the like happen, we'll see if we can find a way to link them here or in a reblog, just for ease of access to information and the like.

Oh yeah, one more thing! The mod is an adult, and Mina is in her early 20s.)

(I'll make an actually updated pinned post eventually, but I just wanted to give a bit more OOC info about Mina, her situation, and the blog overall, since I think it's somewhat important context.

First things first, the stakes level of this blog is low-high/ultra, and the drama stakes is pretty much the same.

Second, pretty much any blog is welcome to interact, up to and including 4th wall breaking and glitch accounts. I will make a note that the Mina those sorts of accounts interact with and the Mina accounts that don't want glitch/4th wall breaking accounts interacting will likely be different in minor ways, though.

Third, Mina has seen at least two legendaries before, and has interacted with a number of artifacts from mythicals and legendaries. To her, they are just extremely powerful pokemon.

Finally, I would like to reiterate that this account is going to deal with dark themes eventually. It won't be that way all the time, but we are pretty bad at tagging things consistently. When that stuff starts happening more regularly, we fully understand if you want to block or filter our posts out.)

Unleashing so many, all at once -- giving people the ability to grant any wish they had... it's a noble goal. It is. But the fundamental fact is that wishes are powerful things -- things that can and will destroy a universe if not controlled.

I am not blaming you. Blame is useless, it passes the buck to someone else.

You deserve better than what you got; but this is dangerous.

If you do not intend to let your world be destroyed, act to save it.

It would take more than one pokemon and more than just me to do something THAT catastrophic. I’ve never been the one in control of anything, it’s too unfair if the one time I have any sort of power it’s that destructive.

A single pokemon destroyed my home. It was Palkia, corrupted by team Galactic. They lost control, its rage ripped everything apart.

The only reason I survived was because I managed to jury rig a device to shield my lab from the carnage, and from what I can tell, the only reason I was able to do that was because my version of Jirachi guided me.

Wishes can allow you to survive the end, and in turn, they can just as easily bring it about.

They have paralytic venom which can be injected via small barbs, though it's well within the sylveon's control whether that happens or not.

Life force doesn't exist here. Not that we can tell. And infinity energy is something completely different, even if there's correlation to expected lifespan. It's not hard correlation though.

That said! Weird ass way of ending up a different better for you species gang! Woo! Let's give it up for yeeting humanity.

And yeah, if I remember right they can do some stuff that disrupts ATP pathways, and it might technically have some weird parasitic capacities here? I'd need to double check.

...I just realized that the fact we kinda know each other is pretty funny given the fact I used. A flake of metal that got broken off of my universe's Jirachi as the main component of my transformation.

...And also the fact I might have my Jirachi's blessing? That is still very unclear though.

hi! i have the dosage of monsters and coffee roughly off the top of my head due to having a high caffeine tolerance.

it's approximately 220 dollars and 9 monsters a day in 2 weeks, not rounded. if OP wasn't buying in 12 packs it's a lot more money and i have a lot of questions. i think i see a couple in there that aren't available in 12 packs so the cost is slightly up at the very least.

the safe amount of monsters a day is 2, i guess 2 and a half if your heart is great. i'm not diagnosing someone over the internet but you probably shouldn't do 2+ for weeks at a time, really. i only do when i'm having insomnia. sorry to my doctor.

in short: don't do this? i don't know, maybe OP has 3 roommates, it's entirely possible, i hope.

So you might've been right about the Jirachi thing. In several ways.

Supernatural luck and intuition are... interesting abilities to have, and ones I didn't quite realize I did have until a short bit ago.

It's... odd, actually noticing it? If I focus on something, and just kinda... let my body work, intuition just takes over most of the time, at least for stuff adjacent to what I'm actually knowledgeable in.

Fluff wanted to see the TM lab, I have exactly zero skill operating any of their machinery- I had taken a tour once or twice, and knew some of the basic theory, but none of the technical stuff.

I uh. Fully managed to teach Fluff how to use the equipment to some extent, even though I could barely explain what I was doing.

After that, Fluff did a little experiment- had me close my eyes while he was writing a few sentences, then partially covered the paper before telling me to open them again, and telling me to copy the symbols.

For the record, this kind of thing has been happening for pretty much my entire life- I just have absolutely terrible memory, these are the only two I can think of offhand.

...Except for maybe my time in university, when... I managed to wrangle malfunctioning computer hardware with little to no issue, when literally everyone else -- including the actual compsci students -- thought it was a lost cause or broken vacuum tube.

That specific computer was fairly old, and only really used for the kind of calculus which would take literal weeks to run on the actual university mainframe -- that said, doing a bit of a search through rotomblr-

uh. The computers I have access to are very out of date compared to some of the stuff on here. I think the most cutting edge processor that had been released before everything went down was... a first generation Pentium? Even that hadn't quite released yet, though.
