And speaking of how Derren wants to focus on cathartic, life-changing experiences, my favorite example of this is from his Apocalypse special when his subject wakes up, thinks everything that happened was a dream and is tremendously happy to see his family. Then his mother tells him to go the living room and he realizes all his experiences had been real when seeing Derren.
