Hello, Tanzblr...
I think Iâm dead inside. My precious Helsinki vampires just had their derniere and... I just canât.
I donât think Iâm even kidding when I say that this production became as close to me as the Viennese revival. And Graf von Vihma shares the first place on my long list of von Krolocks seen on stage together with Drew Sarich. And oh my God those ensemble vampires, I am so done. Even the Hungarian duo would have to watch out for some of these beasts!
And now itâs just all...gone. For good. I doubt thereâs any bootlegs out there either, because people just donât break the rules here in Finland. No one wouldâve dared to film anything. So all I have to do is rely on my memory which - as far as human memory goes in general - is bound to forget some of the details I want to remember. And even if I were able to remember it all in perfect detail, I wouldnât be able to experience it again.
Now there is no Professor Abronsius with jokes specifically made for the Finnish audience, no Graf von Vihma to sing the longest ever note during the Finale of the 1. Akt while at the same time gazing into your soul, no ensemble vampires having a stare competition with you (and all the while flirting with you without shame), nothing. Itâs all lost. Poof! Just... like... that.
Fuck.
