Just a friendly reminder that the ancient aroha/baby aroha came about by actual fans who decided to adopt the nicknames. I understand where it would make people feel uncomfortable but it was not intended to be a display of superiority. Somebody didn’t decide one day that those were the two factions, laughing maniacally as they rolled around in their fanclub merch thinking they were the Ultimate Aroha ™. If it makes people feel upset it will stop, I have faith in Aroha that we will put the needs of others before our pride. But please understand (especially if you’re new to the fandom) that the terms were never used to talk about who owned more merch or who was the most dedicated. It was more about pre debut fans taking baby aroha under their wings to teach them about astro. Not superiority, but a chance to grow the fandom. And many of these new fans started calling themselves baby roha in the process. If you dont like the terms thats fine, but please be mature about it when speaking up about how it bothers you. Sending hate to people or saying that using ancient/ baby aroha makes them a bad fan is also displaying superiority. Just be nice to people and don’t call them nicknames they don’t like, but don’t send hate. Just calmly talk about it. Aroha have a problem with talking things out instead of getting defensive, even me. This is not what being in a fandom is about and we all need to work together to establish a kind environment rather than pushing opinions and getting too defensive, because new fans especially are feeling uncomfortable in the middle of all of this and that’s not fair to Astro who work incredibly hard for all of us.
