if you have no problem with 30+ idols standing on music show stages day after day, you have no right to be ‘angry’ that four 20-somethings went out to a restaurant/bar to hang out together when there is no lockdown or quarantine being instigated and the country is operating almost completely as usual. especially, when the breakout happened a week later and the boys have all tested negative.
take your fake outrage and shove it somewhere dark and unpleasant.
me, on my way to support dongmin because apparently he did this BEFORE quarantine meaning he ( and the rest of those boys ) did nothing wrong and shouldn’t have to apologize and shouldn’t be ridiculed as harshly as they have been purely because dispatch wants to cover up the more important things like the nth room trials :
the way mcs ddankong looked at each other
they said in the vlive that kangmin was keeping the results from them so they don’t find out

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been thinking about how I want to word this and if I should even attempt to address it. I didn’t want to sound pedantic or accusatory—there’s a lot of information circulating rn because of the comeback, so I’m sure a lot of people simply weren’t aware of what was happening. But I think it still needs to be said.
Recently, there have been some comments made by MJ about his weight and eating habits. It’s come up in multiple interviews that he’s attempting to diet (as he diets in preparation for almost all of their comebacks), and the way he’s worded these things—as well as the way he talks about his body—is rather troubling.
I’ve suffered from body image issues and unhealthy eating practices for a long time. While working out and eating whole foods is good and fine, the methods many of these idols including MJ use (namely, yo-yo dieting and skipping multiple meals a day) is NOT healthy, and any weight loss they do have is not sustainable and forces stress responses from the body. In the long-term, it can lead to permanent issues with hormone regulation. There’s obviously a lot of outside pressure to look a certain way since he’s in the public eye, and that’s upsetting enough on its own. But what I have a real issue with is the way Moonbin has commented on MJ’s body.
The things he said in this article and this video (referencing his comments about MJ’s weight loss and MJ being “fat” like a seal) were frankly disturbing and uncalled for, especially since he said them in a public setting and because these interviews are permanent and can continually be accessed.
And even though Bin’s comments have occurred more than once, no one really seems to be talking about it. I wasn’t even aware of it until someone in my immediate circle brought it up to me. Like I said, I don’t think we can be responsible for knowing everything. But when we do notice something, I think we should talk about it instead of sweeping it under the rug because we like the person in question and don’t want to paint them in a negative light.
I love Bin a lot. He’s one of my ults (if not my top ult), and I have no doubt in my heart that he truly loves MJ. I think all of the boys do. However, I was incredibly disappointed when I heard the interview—there is enough maliciousness from strangers online without having your friend make direct and public comments about your physical appearance. And just because someone you love messes up doesn’t mean that you have to excuse or ignore that behavior. I’m not saying he needs to be “cancelled” (because cancel culture is a farce and doesn’t allow the person in question to grow from their mistakes). But the fact that this keeps happening means something. And instead of staying quiet, ignoring it, making excuses for what he did, I think this is an opportunity to educate him on what he said and why it’s so hurtful. Not just for MJ, but for fans who struggle with body image issues and who put stock in what the boys say.
i wanted to be cutestro too
