Word Bearers dark apostle with retinue. The retinue and power pack are from the actual dark apostle kit, but the apostle is kitbashed from the black templars chaplain Grimaldus; I always thought it was funny how chaotic black templars kits look. I have no idea what kit the head of the crozius came from: if you recognize it let me know, it's annoying me more than it probably should
My other chaos lord, because I needed two: this one was kitbashed from a black templars marshall. My idea was that this would be more martial than the other: less of a priest and thus less favored by the legion than the other, but unquestionably skilled at command.
The main chaos lord for my Word Bearers. I wanted a more priestly model, so I kitbashed it from a dark apostle body, with bits from the chosen kit and the master of possession power pack.
A sorcerer for my Word Bearers. I like the idea that my Word Bearer host is made up of different factions drawn from different warbands and legions, so my idea for him is that he was a raven guard librarian who fell to chaos during the horus heresy, hence the bird-like bits and blue-black color scheme.
The finished warpsmith. Kitbashed out of a horus heresy axe praetor, a warpsmith, some spirit hosts and miscellaneous csm bits.
Word Bearer's warpsmith, nearly done. I like the normal kit, but it feels more like a character for black legion or iron warriors. I wanted a model that felt less like a tech Marine and more like a sorcerer hammering demons into artefacts. Based the kitbash on the horus heresy axe praetor, with bits from the warpsmith, havocs and aos spirithosts. More angles when it's done
Full workday of making bases. I think it'll be about 8 more hours to finish them, so it'll probably take closer to 12. Looking forward to having proper Colchis-themed bases for my Word Bearers though, and it'll be faster to do them all at once
yeah that took way longer than expected

Word Bearers master of possession, awaiting a base. Really enjoying practicing osl on this army
Death guard Myphitic Blight haulers. I don't love when my monopose models look the same, so I added the extra face plates from a foetid blight drone to two of them to differentiate them.
