FAQ

Q: Are these Warrior Cats figures?

A: No, they aren't. They are generic cat figures, that I paint with designs inspired by Warrior Cats characters. I refer to them by Warriors names as a shorthand to reference which characters inspired their designs, but they are not meant to represent the actual characters from the books. If you're curious why this needs to be stated, check out the official Warrior Cats FAQ.

Q: How are your models made?

A: They're sculpted digitally in Blender, and then 3D printed using resin, through a company called CraftCloud! I don't do any of the printing at home- resin requires additional steps on top of just the printing, and it's not something I really have time to do, especially in bulk.

i just wanted to say, i totally agree with you! etsy isn’t very small business friendly with all of the wild random fees. i’m so excited to see all the designs this year!!

Yeah it's honestly wild, I didn't realize how much there was (along with the larger chunk they take out of your profit) until I went to set up the shop today. I'm already operating on a super tight budget, so it's just not ideal even if it would potentially get more sales.

I'm super excited to get working on them too though!! I think I've picked a pretty good lineup of characters >:3

Slight change of plans, Etsy has far too many fees for me to deal with at the moment so I'm sticking to Ko-fi for the shop for the time being.

But that being said, the 12 cats I'll be designing over the next year (and possibly more, if I can afford to make more of them) have been chosen! They'll hopefully be starting in February, and the shop will be updated with some more stuff soon!

I'll absolutely be doing Mothwing! For a while I was sticking to first-series cats, but now I'm expanding to all the books!

Aw thank you!! I've read up until partway through Omen of the Stars I think, and then about half of Dawn of the Clans. Honestly I think my favourite cat will always be Scourge, he's just such a fun villain >:3c he's definitely on my list, thank you!!

☆ Thank you guys for 1400+ followers ☆

Wanted to give you guys an update on where I've been and what the plan is heading into the new year! Long story short: ya boy got diagnosed with sleep apnea and has been spending a lot of time sleeping with a cpap to start getting his energy back.

I'm still going to be pretty absent for the rest of December, so no new cat models yet. But, starting next year, here's the plan:

☆ A new cat model every month ☆

☆ Monthly speed-sculpt videos along with each new design ☆

☆ An Etsy shop alongside the Ko-fi ☆

And, most importantly:

☆ Cat designs will no longer be confined to the first series ☆

So, I'm taking suggestions for cat designs again, this time from any of the books! Feel free to send them in, and then sometime in early January I'll probably have some kind of poll to vote on which cat designs should come first.

ah i’m sorry i didn’t use an ask! also i’ve heard abt blender and would love to try it. currently i use nomadsculpt

Oh no worries, it's just more likely I'll see asks than replies, so you're more likely to get an answer to your questions this way!

I've seen some videos on Nomad Sculpt, it seems like a pretty good app! Personally I'd definitely recommend a full pc program, if you have a computer that can handle it, but otherwise it seems like it can definitely get the job done ^_^

Blender exploded my Yellowfang so that wip is no longer relevant and I take back the compliments I just gave the program

I use Blender! It's honestly a much better program than people give it credit for, it's my main one for animation lately too.
