Super excited that not only was my Mini featured in this month's Miniworld magazine but it was also the cover model
A few pictures from the photoshoot for Miniworld Magazine.
While we still have a bit if nice weather I thought I'd have a quick paddle on my kayak. Didn't let the fact that my Honda Civic with the roof bars wasn't about stop me. The trusty Mini Estate came to the rescue. Had to use some crappy inflatable roof bars as I couldn't fine all the bits for my proper roof bars but they did the job for the few miles I had to drive. I wouldn't have used them for any distance further than that
Treated myself to a set of Minispares Rose Petal alloys
More poor Polo GTi 😢. Someone crashed into me at a roundabout. While the collision was quite low speed (under 30mph) and I was in the right I bore the brunt of the damage. Not hopefully that it can be repaired. Front end seems quite twisted, so much so that I could open the drivers door at first. Stress crack on the windscreen is also worrying. Such a same as this is my favourite car out of the 30+ that I've owned
1961 Austin Seven Countryman!
With the weather so nice it was about time we went out for a little spin. First drive of the year after being shut up in my garage all winter. Couple of little jobs to do before the MOT and the end of the month but nothing major. The ruins of Birnbeck island and pier in the background
For once a simple job (change the alternator) that actually was a simple job and didn't lead onto having to do a load of other little jobs
Remember where we parked
The Dunlop D1 alloys look great and completely change the look of the car. I’m really tempted now to get a set of black rose petal alloys now to replace the silver minilights I had fitted. Decisions decisions…
I was moving some parts between my lockups and only brought 3 things home with me. One thing was my set of original 1971 Dunlop D1 alloys that had been fitted to my Mini pickup. They had a lovely patina but had suffered a little being in storage. A quick brunch up and they looked a bit better. I'm undecided if I should have them refurbished or not. Now their home I just had to fit them
Final checks before going for its MOT. Sun in shining so I'm taking this as a good omen
A slightly early birthday present to myself - Lucas PL700 headlights. As I think you'll agree they look significantly different than the Lucas P700 headlights I had fitted before. First picture is with the P700s and the second is the PL700s
New daily driver is a little different to my Mini Estate. VW Polo 1.8 TSi GTi. 192 efficient German BHP. Loads of fun and seriously fast.
My Mini is no trailer queen, she's a working girl. A Mini Estate is surprising practical
Mature classy suburban lady. Moist and ready to be taken out for a good time
