Dear God, sometimes i want to grow up so much! help me to trust that You have good plans for me, both now and later. help me not to rush to grow up but to enjoy the life You have given me right now. i am grateful for the friends i get to grow with and memories i am making. i pray that i make wise decisions now so i can be responsible as i get older. in Jesus's name, amen.

-have a good understanding of who God is and who He is not. -He is a good shepherd -God is a good God. He does not hold a grudge on past mistakes -a starting point is remembering God has good intentions for you -God wants to be your guide -'Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God' i have to remind myself sometimes that just because i don't hear God's' voice... it doesn't mean that He isn't there. He's always there for me. protecting me when i least except it. He's a good God... always.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.," Prayer is: bringing God into your daily life & bringing heaven with you wherever you go.

Does God really love me...always? here's what i learned: when we feel loved we act differently then if we were mad or sad. when we feel loved we feel happy, safer, and you act kinder towards others. Psalm 100:5 - says that the Lords love endures forever and his love will continue to spread throughout generations. God's love does not compare to anyone else's love. no ones love will be as special as Gods love for you. even on days where you feel unmotivated, sad, like you've failed God, He still loves you. Romans 8:39 - says nothing will ever be able to separate us from His love. 'Remember that the Bible is not just God's Word; it is God's Word to you!'

What if i am not tired? here's what i learned: 'when we're awake but tired, we don't feel our best.' we tend to be in a mood that makes us grumpy and you feel as though you don't have enough energy to do things. Acts 20: 9-10 - talks about a young boy whom fell off a window because he fell asleep listening to someone talk about God. that's crazy! i mean, i'll be honest, if i was talking to someone about God and they did that to me i would've thought that was disrespectful. 'God wants us to be awake when we are supposed to be awake but he also wants us to get enough rest to be able to enjoy everything around us.' thank God today for protecting and helping you to rest,, so that you can enjoy your day and get things done.

Who Is God? here's what i learned: the Bible has many means and phrases to describe God's name and who He is. here are some different names used/mentioned: Jehovah: the "I Am who I Am" 'Jehovah tells you God is a person.' Jehovah Jireh: "The Lord our Provider" 'Jireh means God wants to give you everything you need.' Jehovah Tsaba: "The Lord our Warrior" 'God is with you in any battle you face.' Jehovah Shalom: "The Lord is peace" 'God is your peace.' Jehovah Rohi: "The Lord my Shepherd" 'God is our Shepherd and you can rest knowing He is in complete control.'

What am i thinking? here's what i learned: our thoughts can sometimes become overwhelming. i know for me, i tend to be an over thinker & i overthink almost everything. sometimes it's hard to control thoughts & you just can't stop thinking. has it ever happened to you, when you're in a church service & you just can't seem to concentrate? your thoughts are everywhere & can't shut them off? it doesn't have to be only church but with school or work or any activity. Colossians 3:2 - tells us that we should set our thoughts & minds on things above, not things of the earth. some tips on how to set your mind right: 1. read your Bible often - 'God's word can change everything.' 2. listen to worship music - play songs over & over until you get lost in them & eventually feel God's presence. 3. be careful what you watch - bad influences you see can lead to bad behaviors/ actions/ thoughts. 4. spend time with people who love God - ask them to give you advice & connect with them. (hangout & do a Bible study!) 5. ask God to help - God is always ready with open arms to hear us out & what we have to say. He does everything for a reason & He wants the best for us.

i was looking through my notebook & came across a few notes i had written down awhile ago that stuck out to me once i read them again... i thought i'd share them: notes from 5-15-20 'you either act on your emotions... or your emotions act on you. David (king of Israel) expresses many emotions, in the book of psalms, that we can relate with; Loneliness(Psalms 25:16) Thankfulness(Psalms 35:18) Joy(Psalms 4:7) Regret(Psalms 38:18) & many more emotions like confidence, sorrow, anger, hope, discouragement, and pain. always share your honest feelings to God. God doesn't judge us. no matter how many times we fail Him, He knows we're imperfect & we make mistakes. despite this, God chooses to love us... with an everlasting love.'

What is the difference between prideful & humble? here's what i learned: it feels nice to know we achieved something. when people tell you how good you are at this or that... or how you always know the answer to a question when being asked. 'when you begin to feel too important because of your achievements pray and ask God to help you stay humble.' see being prideful & humble are opposites of each other. when someone is prideful- they like to brag about the things they've done & want to be noticed for the things they've been able to do. on the other hand when someone is humble- 'a humble person does not take credit for the good things that happen to them. they acknowledge that they are only able to do what they do because of His help.' i know that i'm able to have strength & motivation throughout the day because God gives that to me. i can accomplish things because of His help. i wouldn't be able to do many things on my own. 'When you achieve something great, thank God before you do anything else as a way to remind yourself that He is the only reason you can do anything.'

ʚ 3-19-21 ɞ

Do I have to forgive them? here's what i learned: when someone hurts our feelings, it doesn't make us feel good at all. often times we can feel anger, rage, sadness... & we tend to overthink about why this person has made us feel this way. (or why they did what they did) sometimes we seek revenge & we want the person to feel the same way they made us feel. revenge will not make you feel better. ('being mean/trying to get back at someone does not feel good either.') + it's a waste of time & can be a lot of work. Colossians 3:13 says that - 'We should forgive others as God has forgiven us.' God always forgives us.. and not just once but ALL the time. forgiving is not an easy thing to do but it can help us feel better & relieved. (letting go of what has happened, not having to think about it anymore) "...when you choose to forgive, you are being an example of God's love to someone else."

The Gifts of Grace & Mercy here's what i learned: we all sin. the Bible tells us that we should be punished for our sins... but God showed us grace & mercy by sending His one and only son to die for our sins and take the punishment that we deserve. "Grace is getting what you don't deserve, like a present you did not earn." "Mercy is not getting what you deserve." our wrong-doings deserve punishment, but Jesus chose to sacrifice Himself so that we could have a life! John 3:16 - says that 'God loved the world so much, He gave up His only son so that anyone who believes in Him should have eternal life.' 'thank God for the grace and mercy He has for us!'

Use your talents. here's what i learned: God gave each and every one of us a unique talent. with the talent(s) God has given us, He wants us to put them to good use and use it to please Him. many times our hobbies/talents can be used to bless others and encourage others to follow His word. "When you focus your attention on pleasing God, it does not matter who is watching or listening!" Corinthians 10:31 - talks about how everything we do, including the small things we do in our lives, should all be for the glory of God! i know i can be very shy and often hide my talents or hobbies of which i enjoy, but God tells us to be brave and share (as well as enjoy), what He has given us!
