Inktober week 1
A quick warmup of Travis from that book I drew (you should read it.) (Signing at Alleycat Comics on Saturday 12-6 if you want a copy.) (K bye.)
12-2 today! Graham Crackers in the Chicago Loop! Come BUY my book!
SIGNINGS
Hey everyone! It’s that time of summer- time to start telling you I’m going to be signing books at places!
Here’s the schedule as it stands. With luck there will be a few more of these later, but this covers everything from July to mid-August.
First, NEXT WEEK (7/8) from 12-2pm at Graham Crackers in the Chicago Loop. On the day it hits shelves!
Second, in Evanston at Comix Revolution, from 1-4pm on 7/11! That was my local shop growing up, so that’s pretty great!
On 7/22 I’ll be signing at Challengers in Bucktown from 5-7pm. That is an excellent store and if you haven’t been you should use this excuse.
On 8/1, I will be signing from 12-6 at Alleycat Comics in Andersonville. Mike Tanner may also show up if we’re lucky! (Also this store is family run and is adorable.)
Those are the first four, with more to come! Look forward to seeing you all there!

Also I’m heading to San Francisco this weekend for the American Library Associations yearly meetup. I’ll be at the Diamond booth with the Oni crew talking about Junior Braves, so if you’re in the area you should stop by!
Please tell us a little about yourself and your book.
Five answers that are more interesting than the truth.
Answer 1: I'm pretty great. My book is also pretty great. Next?
Answer 2: I'm an animated bipedal prehistoric deer skeleton. I wear a three piece suit at all times, and my voice echoes like the clang of the graveyard gate. My book is about a group of children trying to outrun infected half aware cannibalistic monsters that were once their teachers and authority figures.
Answer 3: I am a line of sentient text, and I am writing myself as you read me. Every time you look away, I call you a mean name before reverting back to what you are now reading. My book is about criminal corporate malfeasance destroying the world.
Answer 4: I am a bag of water and trace minerals who mistakenly believes I am fully self aware and not driven by instinctual impulses and a rudimentary animal cunning. My book is about the end of society.
Answer 5: I am in love with you, Stella. Please come back to me, I’m so sorry about what I said. My book is about growing up.
(Check out the facebook page to hear more about the book. You’ll have to decide for yourself if I was telling the truth.)
Lincoln Park Zoo!
I'm making last minute plans to hang out at LPZ this Sunday from 10-5 to fill out my sketchbook. If you're on the Chicago area, you should come say hi!
Jr Braves Review on Geekdad!
This is cool!

Packing up from Acen. Thanks so much to everyone who came out! Stay tuned to hear more about Junior Braves!
In Chicago? Want to look at Junior Braves of the Apocalypse, but can't because it's not on shelves yet? I'm just sitting at Acen with my copy, chilling. Playing my banjo. I lied, I don't have a banjo. But I do have a copy of the book, and you should come look at it.
Hey, you know what’s cool? This is. This is what is cool. (via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1qpILgjrQA)
Saturday and Sunday at Acen, people! Come look at the book!
This is a very intelligent response by one of the leading minds at Marvel, knocking down what feels like an attack against comics that is outdated by several years.

Also, She-Hulk is still being read like a passively objectified waif instead of a respected lawyer who turns green and fights super-villains on the weekends.
Chapter 2 of Jr. Braves is on Comixology! Check it out!
This is the most ghetto table I've ever done, but it's got such awesome stuff on it!
CZF!
Hey! If you're in the Chicago area on Saturday, stop by Plumbers Union Hall and say hi! I'll be there as part of the Chicago Zine Fest, and I'll have an early copy of Jr. Braves you can flip through! 1349 Wabash after 11am!
