mun vs muse meme (status: still accepting!)

🎁 = what sorts of gifts do the mun and muse like? what were the last gifts they gave and received?

minni loves clothing, accessories, and beauty products.  she has a huge collection of soaps and lotions that she will probably never use, but keeps because she likes the scents.  she’s also given stuffed animals by fans pretty often, and her bedroom is filled with them.  in fact, the last gift she received was probably a boat load of plushies from fans for her birthday.  and the last gift she gave was a bracelet for gem’s birthday.

it’s almost impossible for me to think of gifts that i want, but i usually like pajamas or candles or video games related thing (like animal crossing amiibo cards, my latest obsession).  the last gift i gave was a watch to my mom, and she recently brought me back a t-shirt from a trip.

both minni and i enjoy fiction books, but she’s also a fan of non-fiction inspirational books.  she’s the kind of person to keep those positive thinking daily devotionals on her at all times.  her favorite book is harry potter and the goblet of fire, which i really love as well.  but i also really love pride and prejudice.

🐯 = what animals would best be associated with the mun and muse?

minni is probably compared to a puppy more often than not.  she’s a lot like a golden retriever. she loves to be with others, playing around, and making people happy.  but she could also be a lemur, if you wanted to be more exotic.  they’re very social creatures with a lot of energy, so she would fit pretty well.  as for me, i’m probably like a cat.  a boring, grumpy cat that likes to nap.

minni likes romantic comedies the most.  her favorite movie would be something like 50 first dates.  and she likes to watch them at home with her friends. she has a tendency to talk during movies, or laugh loudly, so being in a theater is never her first option for the sake of everyone else.  i usually like musicals and disney movies, and my favorite movie is probably lion king 2, which is incredibly embarrassing.  i like to watch movies alone at home, but if it’s a funny movie, it’s nice to be with others.

💜 = how would the mun and muse describe their relationship with their parents and/or siblings?

minhee’s relationship with her parents is pretty close to my own.  she is extremely close with her father, to the point that she calls herself a ‘daddy’s girl’ at every chance she gets. she really looks up to him and would consider him as one of her biggest inspirations.  he has always supported her, and she will always be thankful that.  on the other hand, she does not speak with her mother at all, and hasn’t been in contact with her since she left her family.  she would go as far as saying that she doesn’t have a mother anymore, and that her father raised her as a single parent.  my own relationships are very similar to this, just with the parents switched.  my mom is one of my best friends, and i don’t speak with my father.

in terms of siblings, she has a healthier relationship with her brothers than i do.  she is very close with them, and loves them dearly.  she would even call them her friends, rather than just her siblings.  and while i’m close to my younger brother, i don’t have a good relationship with my older brother at all.  so we’re a little different there.

💛 = how would the mun and muse describe their best friends?

minni’s best friends would be the other members of spiced.  spending every single day with the group has resulted in a very close relationship with the other girls.  she lives with them a majority of the time, works with them, spends her free-time with them, and has never once gotten sick of being around them.  her relationship with each one is unique, but it’s close enough that she can lump the four together.  she thinks they’re some of the most talented people she will ever meet, and is just really glad that she gets to spend her life with them.

my best friends are great, but they live pretty far away from me.  we all met online (through rping, actually), and basically talk every waking second of the day.  it’s a little tough to have long distance relationships with the people you’re closest to, but i don’t really mind it.  i’ve even met some of them in person before, and just the other month one of them visited me for a few days, so it’s not that bad.  i love them all, especially when we share opinions and can complain to each other about everything.

🍳 = what are the mun’s and muse’s favorite foods?

the biggest sweet tooth in the world belongs to minni.  she loves all things junk, and would probably live off of cake if given the opportunity.  unfortunately, being an idol means a lot of dieting, so she isn’t able to indulge in her favorite food very often, but that doesn’t stop her from trying.  i, on the other hand, can only handle a small amount of sweets before getting sick.  my favorite food would be something simple like pizza, or maybe chinese food.  can’t go wrong with sweet and sour chicken.

💮 = what are the mun’s and muse’s opinions of each other?

i love minni.  she’s a total sweetheart, and extremely positive, which is something i admire. i also love how childish she can be, and it’s really fun for me to write.  however, i don’t think i would be able to stand being around her for more than ten minutes at a time.  she would completely drain my energy and probably embarrass me if we were in public together. when it comes to being an introvert, i’m the poster child, while minni is the definition of an extrovert. we’d just clash very easily.  and i think that i would probably bore her, but she’s too nice of a person to actually admit that.

“oh yeah? be sure to get them to bring my height down while you’re at it.” harlowe replied with a laugh. she could never understand why her profile had her height near minni and soojin’s levels, and though it was something so minor, it bugged her more than one would think. lies of any sort were irritating to her, and it often meant that she had to wear taller heels in order to match the illusion. “what? it’s not my fault everything else keeps getting in the way.” she shrugged shamelessly. as far as she was concerned, there were worse ways for her to occupy her time. at most she’d suffer from a lack of inspiration, which was a thousand times healthier than passing out from dehydration and exhaustion. “i think i’m alright. for right now, anyway. none of my schedules have been too tedious, probably the most exhausting part of it would be the transit.” she nodded, hoping to reassure her elder and drop the topic completely.

“does tea inspire me? of course it does– anything can be inspiring if you open your mind to it. even being sleepy can bring about thoughts and ideas you wouldn’t have thought of while wide awake.” she could tell that she was rambling once again as the two of them strolled down the hall, harlowe following slowly behind minni as her attention was focused on scrolling through her phone’s search results for a restaurant that fit their cravings. “here, this place seems good, and it’s not that far away. call a cab for this place.” she pointed out, quickening her pace so that she could show minni the restaurant in hesitation. “are you looking for teas that could wake you up? chances are, you just aren’t drinking the right one. or maybe it’s the warmth from the mug that makes you feel sleepy.”

“i don’t think they’ll ever put your real height down.  god knows why they made you taller in the first place, but i feel like it’s been too long for them to go back on it now.”  she could understand upping the height of a male idol, especially if they were shorter than average, but there was no decent reason to have changed harlowe’s.  in fact, she would have assumed that they would want to keep her height accurate; having short members of a girl group seemed like a cute idea to her.  trying to say that harlowe matched minni and soojin when she was much closer to gemi was just ridiculous.  “alright, fair enough,” the elder gave in with a small sigh.  she trusted the other enough to know her limits, and even though she felt concerned for her, it wasn’t necessarily her place to pry.  as long as harlowe was confident, there was no reason to question it.  “i’ll stop bugging you.  time to turn into the carefree unnie again.”

“see, that’s why you’re the writing genius between the two of us.  everything you say could be turned into poetry or lyrics.”  she leaned against the younger’s side, peering at the screen in her hand and committing the name and address to memory.  phone pressed to her ear, she began quoting the information back to the cab company, letting out a hum and a thank you before hanging up.  “okay, so they’ll be here in like five minutes.  which is great, because i’m starving and i probably can’t last much longer than that.”  she lead the way down the corridor and into the elevator.  “it might be a mixture of both, honestly.  but there’s so many types of tea to try, and i don’t think i can get through thirty different cups before finding the right one for me.  sounds a bit tedious, you know?”

hanhae simply shot her an amused smirk, it was pretty funny. to him at least. “why not? we all need a youtube career.” he huffed with a smirk. “are you allowed to be seen with someone as handsome, charming, incredibly funny as me? won’t your company pop off?” the bassist asked with curious gaze, chin propped in his hand. “the world will see how much of a catch i am, the dates will come rolling in. we really need to do this.” hanhae nodded quickly. all the bassist could do was watch her, waiting for her impending doom. slowly he took his phone out and took a few photos of her work, evidence. “you know you won’t save a single second, you’re really going to waste your time. besides if you’re going to be leaning back you really have enough time to lift your cup and hold it.” hanhae rolled his eyes. he still didn’t understand where the time saving came in at all, it seemed like it’d take a while to set up. “math isn’t my strong suit so, go on confuse me further. maybe i’ll eventually agree with you. maybe.”

“i think the group’s channel can count as my youtube page,” she argued, shrugging her shoulder just slightly, “so i guess i’m already pretty successful on youtube in that sense.”  his question was enough to elicit a genuine cackle from minni, throwing her head back as she barked out an absurd laugh, “in your dreams, pretty boy!  if anything, you’ll get attention because the world will associate you with me.  but if you want to date my fan-girls, you’re more than welcome to try.  although i should warn you that i’m pretty popular with the ones that don’t swing your way.  i’ve got that whole girl crush vibe going on.”  it didn’t take long for her to successfully fashion the last straw to the rest, sitting back to admire her hard work.  she had to admit, it did look ridiculous.  she probably could have skipped the construction and just bought one of those crazy long silly straws that kids liked, but the labor brought out a strange sense of accomplishment.  “you know, i bet someone said something very similar to benjamin franklin when he was tying a key to his kite,” the woman snickered at her own comparison, shoving one end of the straw-chain into her drink and leaning back in her seat.  “math isn’t my best either, so i’m gonna quit while my calculations sound accurate.”  moving the straw to sit in front of her lips, she quirked an eyebrow at hanhae, “any last words before i prove just how great my invention is?”

sooojin :

everything with minhee is so easy, so natural. after training together, supporting each other, and eventually become bandmates over the countless years soojin still doesn’t know why she isn’t sick of the woman before her (but of course she knows, and she could list all the reasons at any time). “the fact that you’ll try means the world to me, honey.” she ends it with a snort, containing a grin. she’s only been bothered by minhee taking her clothes a few times, and that’s when she’s wanted to wear them herself at the time. soojin is a very forgiving, loving person, you see. and it gives her leverage whenever she wants something from minhee. “of course i saw it.” she keeps up with all the members’ activities, though she admits that watching them in dramas can be a little weird at times. “not anyone can look like a total idiot and still be hailed as a top beauty. i’m almost jealous.” there’s an obvious emphasis on the ‘almost’, because soojin never lets herself envy other idols. she has too much to think about already. minhee soon has her grinning, somewhat bashfully,  and she willingly heads with the other to her bedroom. because obviously they’re using her closet. “i suppose my hair makes it hard enough for you guys already.” a small pout, then she takes out her phone. “about that cookie thing…” she opens the home screen. “i screenshot it. it makes a great wallpaper.”

it doesn’t take a whole lot to make minhee smile.  it is practically second nature, wearing some form of a grin even when her mood doesn’t reflect it.  she is smiley spice for a reason, after all.  but when she’s around soojin, she can almost guarantee that her emotions mirror the smile that she wears.  in fact, when she’s around the other dancer, there are times when she doesn’t even feel the need to smile.  she can just let down her walls for a few moments, and trust that soojin will understand why. to have her around is, quite frankly, a blessing in more ways than one. “i’ll always try for you, babe,” her face scrunches together as she throws out an exaggerated wink.  an unattractive snort leaves minhee at the comment, shaking her head in disbelief.  “number one, i’m not a top beauty.  i’m a beauty of some kind, but i’m nowhere near the top.  number two, you just agreed that i look like an idiot, so thank you for proving my point.  and three, you can stick that ‘almost’ bull up your perfect ass.”  once they enter her bedroom, she makes a beeline toward her closet, carelessly kicking aside the articles of clothing that she had left on the ground.  “i actually have these two coats that kinda look like same, just give me a second to find them.”  and with that, she begins digging through the jungle that is her closet, tossing aside shirts and dresses in search of two items that probably didn’t belong to her in the first place.  tearing her eyes away from her task for just a second, she lets out a groan at the screen, “ugh, you’re such a pain!  just for that, i’m setting my wallpaper to that photo i took of you when you were asleep last week.  i’m fighting cookie face with double chin material.”

“if it’s a life hack is this somehow a vlog? are we in the middle of your budding youtube career?” hanhae questioned her with a wide smirk. at least he could still tease her even if he felt a little bad at the way she pouted. he could just chalk it up as cute and ignore the downturn of her lips. “alright i’ll eat my words if it does work.” he sat back slowly and watched her with amusement. how had she even come up with this idea? “right, right. i see it now. your vision over here steve jobs the second.” the bassist snorted as he let his head drop back. “how much time does it really take to take a sip from a straw?” the bassist asked as he stared at her wide eyed, trying his best not to laugh. “still you! why are you this way minnie-yah.”

“ha-ha, very funny,” the pout on her face quickly shifted to a glare, although it was devoid of any real heat.  “i don’t need a youtube career, thank you very much.  but if you really do think this genius should be on film, i can probably figure out the login for spiced’s v live account.  we can broadcast our lunch together and everyone can see just how much of a jerk you are,” she lifted her gaze from her project long enough for her to stick her tongue out at him childishly.  so far, she had gotten three straws connected, but it wasn’t enough.  she wanted to be able to drink while leaning back in her chair, so another straw had to be added to the bunch.  “i mean, it probably takes two seconds to lean in, two seconds to lean out.  but if i do that, say, twenty times in a sitting, that’s eighty seconds.  more than a whole minute!  and if i can save three minutes a day by doing this, every single day, then by the end of the week, i have at least twenty extra minutes to spend.  should i keep going?  because it’s just gonna keep adding up.  and by the end of my life, i’ll have saved, like, at least a year of my own time while you were busy drinking from a single straw like a square.”

DENOUEMENT IS BASED OFF THE KUBLER-ROSS MODEL, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE FIVE STAGES OF GRIEF: DENIAL, ANGER, BARGAINING, DEPRESSION, AND ACCEPTANCE. THE ALBUM TELLS  THE TALE OF BETRAYAL OF ONE’S PARTNER, AND THE STAGES OF EMOTIONS ONE GOES THROUGH AS THEY NAVIGATE THROUGH THE WOES OF HEARTBREAK. THERE ARE THREE SONGS PER STAGE, INCLUDING A SOLO SONG BY EACH MEMBER. Spiced’s vocal line (Sleepy, Pretty, Chic) have released a track together days before their March 4th comeback. In the words of leader Gemi, this is a “gift to the fans” for sticking things out with them over the last few months that have been filled with various delays and changes. It follows yesterday’s release from Spiced’s rap line, Minni & Harlowe. ‘Don’t Go’ is a ballad song that channels the emotions one feels at the end of a relationship. The lyrics tell us while though they are aware that the relationship must come to an end, it doesn’t stop them from being saddened by the way things had to play out. The song was written and produced by leader, Sleepy Spice, while the music video was directed by Pretty Spice, and styled by Chic Spice. Although, the song will (or can) probably be depicted in a romantic way, the music video follows many public tribulations the members of Spiced faced as well as performance footage, and personal home videos. The most standout of the clips played in the music video would be Zen & Dohee’s final performance, footage of Spiced in the midst of their most publicized scandals, and the clip of all members of Spiced, both current and former, sharing a bittersweet moment together.

“Don’t look.” // Welcome to Originalities!

an indignant huff passed through her, arms crossing over her chest in defiance.  minni wasn’t a kid -- she was older than he was, for goodness’ sake!  if she didn’t think she could handle a scary movie, then she wouldn’t have agreed to watch it in the first place.  it was fictional anyway, nothing to get worked up about.  “i think i can handle a little bit of fake blood, thank you very much,” her childish pout did nothing to show that she was a grown-ass adult who could take care of herself.  gluing her eyes to the screen, she did her best to show that she was not frightened in the slightest, and she would not need to shield her eyes from some stupid film.  and it worked for the better part of thirty seconds, just up until the ghost appeared on screen without warning.  the squeal that escaped her was completely involuntary, moving with tremendous speed to bury her head in his shoulder.  “shut up!” she spoke before he even had the chance to say ‘i told you so’, “i can handle this!  i just don’t want to see such an ugly makeup job, that’s all!”

Written and produced by Harlowe, Deceptive Love describes the ups and downs of an unhealthy relationship that can’t seem to end. The push and pull dynamics shown through teasing lyrics showcase the vocal capabilities of both members, and features Harlowe’s raps as well. There seems to be plenty of time before the group drops more information and teasers regarding their comeback, so for now, the collaborations between members are meant to tide fans over until the album’s release and apologize for the months delay.

[ +353 / -720 ] if the whole rap went to harlowe, then why is minni even in the song? they could have gotten one of the actual vocalists to sing, not her.
