Here's an old list I made JUST for the gifted kids. Noah, Abigail, Chloe, and co. (Autism Spectrum Disorder/Asperger's Syndrome) (Asperger's was considered it's own diagnosis until 2013 and the books take place in early to mid 2012)
They all fall into the "savant syndrome" category. It is an extremely rare condition where people with intellectual disabilities, like autism, have exceptional skills in one specific area. Though, in media, it seems to usually be for musical or academic abilities.
All have very little in the way of social skills and have trouble getting comfortable with new people or situations. (i.e. Latrell getting mad at Donovan for asking questions related to Tin Man, Jacey getting flustered and immediately talking about Earth layers)
The kids can't really accept that their wrong and aren't very understanding of others perspectives. (i.e. Abigail get mad at others even for being right or better at stuff than her, Noah not understanding why Donovan cheated)
Most the coding comes from Noah Youkilis (who practically becomes a main character in book #2 and #3), who was immediately said to have trouble making eye contact, which is a huge stereotype about autistic people. (not saying it's bad or unrealistic to write autistic characters with that trait—it's just a really common pet peeve in the community)
Noah also has very bad motor difficulties (and possibly Abigail too). This is specific to their coordination and balance. These difficulties affect their running, jumping, and hopping skills. Low muscle tone can also be affected which is what causes Noah's horrible posture. Shown by the dance and way too much of the second book.
Noah being "obsessed" with YouTube, which could read as him having a hyperfixation or special interest.
In Hypergifted, Noah is said to hate physical contact, even from people he likes.
Here's my list for Donovan (ADHD, particularly Hyperactive-Impulsive presentation)
Has absolutely no impulse control. This is quite literally the first thing we know about him. Which is one of the most common traits of Hyperactive-Impulsive ADHD. It's in the name. People with this type are often described as "not thinking things through".
Fakes Restless Leg Syndrome to explain fidgeting. Considering Daniel Sanderson most likely has the "inattentive type" of ADHD, he doesn't fidget around as much as someone with the "hyperactive type" of ADHD. This would probably explain why he didn't think to include it with his ADD disorder.
He also tends to not recognize when his actions or situation is dangerous until it's too late.
And obviously, children with ADHD, particularly the Hyperactive-Impulsive type, get into trouble a lot more than other children.
Donovan seems to have trouble focusing in class, although this could just be because he isn't being taught anything on his level, since we don't see anything about him trying to learn after book 1.
He gets lost in his own thoughts a few times throughout the books. This symptom is more commonly seen in Inattentive presentation.
