✩SEARCHING FOR 2 SPACES IN OFFICIAL AX’17 HOTEL ROOM✩

⋆ My boyfriend Derek and I are searching for a hotel with 2 available spaces for Anime Expo! Here’s a picture of us, in case you’re curious:

A bit about us:

Both over 21yo

Together for 1 ½  years, chill and not overly affectionate/arguing couple

Seasoned con veterans (I have been attending AX for 10+ years, he has also attended multiple times)

Will not be bringing drinks. (unless you want us to, idk?)

Here is our criteria:

⋆ MUST⋆

Be at an official Anime Expo hotel, which gets shuttle service to and from the convention center.

Be mostly or all women or nb people-- I am a cosplayer who will be changing clothes a lot, so being around a lot of men makes me uncomfortable?? (If they’re your spouse, that’s alright, I suppose)

No parties being thrown in the room, please? Alcohol/drinking is fine (we are both 21+) but we don’t intend to get wasted, or want our roommates to all be, either.

Be cosplayer friendly! We don’t have any large/delicate props, but might need a bit of closet space to set some things aside!

At least 1 bed space available? I have chronic illness issues that affect my joints and muscles, making sleeping on the floor my last resort tbh.

Maybe some cosplayers in the room? I prefer cosplay friends, and you know how we need minor assistance getting ready sometimes...

Minimal marijuana smoke? (I hate the smell, gomen)

No more than 6-7 roommates total, including ourselves

Please, please let your friends know if they’re trying to fill spaces in their room, or contact us if you have availability and think we’d be a good fit!

Found a hotel room!

An extremely kind fellow cosplayer offered me space in her room at the Fairmont for an amazingly great share, so I’ll be attending Fanime 2017 for sure!!

⋆ LOOKING FOR FANIME ROOM W/ SPACE FOR 2? ⋆

I suppose I’m finally at the point where I’m desperate enough for something good to happen in my life, that I’m willing to stay with strangers to get there. Now that I have my boyfriend to go with me, I suppose I’m less afraid of something bad happening to me than if I were to go alone, but I’m still a rather anxious person, so please forgive me if these requests sound a bit odd:

BRIEF ABOUT: - Me + BF are both 22yo - We have been together for about 1 ½ years, are rather quiet, and get along very well, so don’t expect any issues there. - I am a cosplayer– if I can find a room, my cosplans will be:

- I will pay you for my share asap– either before the con via paypal, or on day 0, in cash (if you don’t have PP). I’m not going to be someone you have to nag forever for payment.

REQUIREMENTS:

- All or mostly female / nonbinary roommates? Men make me uncomfortable, mostly because I’ll be stripping down a lot to change for cosplay >o< - However, must be okay with my boyfriend staying with us being (cis) male? Sorry if that sounds like a double standard, but he’s demisexual and chill and mostly sleeps a lot tbh. - Must be okay with a cosplayer roommate (me) who needs closet and bathroom counter space– but has no large props this time around!!  - NO in room parties! Alcohol is okay– I might share/bring some if you’re having it (and if you want the room dry, I’ll respect that, too!)– but I do not intend to get wasted, and I don’t want my roommates to be, either

REQUESTS: - Access to a bed preferable? I have bad joints and muscles from a genetic disease that causes me chronic pain, and sleeping on the floor every night can yield issues– but I know this is a late request, so it might not be possible. - No more than 7-8 people total staying in the room, if possible (including me and bf)

     Niko is a small, chronically ill/disabled lump of bad fashion decisions that lives in the Central Valley area of California, with their family and boyfriend of 1½ years. Their strongest skill is in writing and the English language, and they are (slowly) pursuing a degree to teach English as a second language.       Niko has been making all kinds of crafts their whole life (jewelry making, drawing, and dabbling in clay, crochet, and others), but does not know a single soul who could teach them to sew, and decided to teach themself without having ever even touched a machine before.      Most of the costumes they wear to cons are pieced together from pre-made garments with alterations made, handmade pieces,additions to garments, or simply premade taobao cosplays-- which are much more budget friendly, often times. They will never claim credit or enter a cosplay contest for a costume they did not make themself!
