Introducing the NikSim Colour Pond

This is where I’ll try to reblog all hair that has been recoloured into my colours. I’m going to stop reblogging the recolours on my main blog, so follow the Colour Pond if you want to keep up with the recolours.

Furthermore, there is a submission section for everyone who wants to recolour, but doesn’t have a blog of their own. Not sure if that’s actually needed, but I thought I’d just give you that option.

Yes in the next update, I will included the child versions of the original bangs plus a few new ones. However with this being said I won't be able to post them until like December 14-30. This is because of computer problems and I hope in this time span I should have a new computer.

Sulsul! First off, about the computer thing, I don't know what you're willing to spend really but sometimes if you want a computer that will run multi games well it's better to build your own! That's what I'm gonna start doing when I get extra money. Plus, I have a request can you do Kiara24s medium messy in NikSim colors? :)

Well what i mean by other games is like life is strange and walking dead. I tend to play more beffy games on ps3-4 or xbox, my computer is really just for sims and visual novels, or whatever you consider lis or walking dead.

So here is the first hair in my Life is Strange Hair conversion pack/gift thing. Hat compatible for the most part, and i would recommend giving your sims little ears as to not distort the shape of the hair. There are two texture options the original LIS texture in EAxis colors, and an EAxis afro texture for those who prefer Maxis match CC. Teen to elder females, i’ll convert it for girls eventually. I’ve also added a NikSims color addon for both texture versions if you want them. If you have a problem with the hair or a question please let me know.

My laptop finally kicked the buckut today, which means no Sims for me. So I won't be playing or making CC for a really long time, and to make matters worse I've lost majority of my files.

How do you manage to extract EA's hair colors? See, I'm trying to add EA's white hair color to custom hairs that don't include it. All I know how to do is extract the DDS and attempt to match the color in photoshop, but I can never match it perfectly. Is there an easier way to do this? Since it's not like I can just extract another hair's texture and place it on the one I'm editing since the textures won't match up!

I use Sims 4 Studio to extract hair textures if a CC hair uses EAxis textures. I don’t know if this is what you meant Anon but this is how i get the EAxis hair colors. You can use the filters to narrow down your search, or you can type the hair’s name in the search bar(to show all the hairs colors). Then i just save the file as something like ([HairName]Texture) and extract the textures whenever i need them. This doesn’t apply if a CC hair uses a custom texture, in this case i extract a similar Eaxis texture along with the custom texture. Then play around with the hues in Gimp/Photoshop until the custom texture matches the EAxis color.

I fixed all of the lis hair conversions but i'm not really happy with them. I guess ill put them up for download, if i do there will be two texture options an EAxis version and the original lis textures in EAxis colors. Also none of these previews are edited.

If so, could you consider doing a Sims 3 to 4 conversion of mochasims' Maxis Sims 2 to 3 Cornrows Conversion with Modish Kitten scalp, for all age groups, please?

Hi there. To be honest when i said request i meant like accessory conversions and hair recolors, but Necrodog has already converted this hair here also scalp textures from s3 don’t really fit s4 scalps.
