do you guys genuinely believe any of the lads guys would even think of someone other than mc😭😭 all for nonmc but some of yall talk like it’s completely in character for them
please feel free to correct me from what im about to say since im still fairly new to the lore i think. from my understanding MC has some sort of soul tie to a couple of the LIs (i believe rafayel and sylus?) whereas some just willingly choose her in every life time (like xavier for example). i think for the ones strictly tied to her it'd be a lot more difficult for them to stray away. but that's assuming that MC is all of the MCs as a whole (i like to think each LIs MC is separate from one another, because otherwise she's just with five different guys---which, good for her (damn you)).
when i write, especially for caleb, i kinda just assume the MC is someone else's MC. usually zayne's or xavier's yk. i think in the case that we're considering MC as caleb's MC, yes it's OOC for caleb to like nonmc reader because he'd never do that. that man is WHIPPED like no other. but for the sake of angsty fanfiction i just assume it's not OOC for him to move on from MC if it's not his MC.
also, while this is an otome game so it might not apply, in real life, people usually move on. it doesn't particularly mean you didn't love that previous person, it just means you're human and you're allowed to find happiness for yourself. in the game, love is portrayed idealistically so that might not be the case but that's how i think of it when i write :) i hope this makes sense i'm awful at explaining things
