I will never be team Gabriel Agreste, like the writers would have to do something pretty big to make me be like “Alright, I can tolerate you now.” But I was thinking and maybe you guys have talked about this over the years, but what if the overuse of his kwami for his own personal gain has messed with Gabriel’s mind? I mean yeah he’s a grief stricken husband obsessed with bringing his wife back but…maybe there’s something more to this.

Tikki always stresses to Marinette not to use her powers for personal reasons and we’re led to believe its because “with great power comes great responsibility” and heroes don’t do that, but I’m starting to think the kwamis abilities have a huge draw back on the user. Power can go to a person’s head but I feel like Gabriel’s remorse and compassion has deteriorated immensely since the start of the series.

Hawkmoth can feel people’s emotions and use that to his advantage…what if he can unknowingly amplify his own emotions?
