“So we’re just supposed to live our lives on edge now?” Ronnie frowned as he watched the crowd of people begin to panic around him. “I have to live life looking over my shoulder because some nut job wants to play a game?” He rolled his eyes in frustration. He didn’t understand why he had to live like this or why they had chosen now, he just knew wasn’t about to drop everything and live life like this.

Her head turned to the man by her side who was saying loudly concerns that were going through everyone’s minds — Allie’s included. Hidehill became her home, a safe place to live in and find her true self but how can it still be the case with what is happening. She does her best to block dark thoughts that could ruin her from inside out but this, having actual proof on her phone was too much. At first treating it as a joke, pulled by some I.T geek, but as the panic among everyone gathered grew stronger it got to her as well “I don’t recall signing up for this so I hope it will be over as soon as possible.” she summarized, not with anger but with fear slowly filling her up like water an empty glass.

“Thanks for the advice but those hours don’t go along with my schedule,” she said with a serious tone just to quickly add a joke at the end to lighten it up “nor my ice cream cravings” a smile was sent in other’s direction. Her gaze quickly flicked to the watch wrapped around her wrist, counting every minute she had been waiting in line for. “How often do you visit this place?” a curiosity took over of how well she knows this place plus the awkward silence had to be filled.

The woman arrived at the Hidehill High School to attend Jade Parker’d vigil, dressed in black from top to bottom. Allie personally picked the flower bouquet that she believed mostly represented her former client. After placing it among the others, she stayed in the back admiring the ceremony, which despite the tragic events was beautifully carried out.

     It was almost routine for her at this point— the not being able to sleep, the winding up at this hidden gem only in her pajamas, the watching the sunset, then heading back to her studio apartment to pass out for a few hours to head to work. It was something calming about it though.. different from her previous life and she liked that.      Zada’s chin rested on her knees as she gazed out to the water. A lot was on her mind: her family, her life here, especially the missing person. She didn’t know Jade, but she still hoped for a safe return for the woman. It was all so crazy—how can someone just vanish without a trace? As her mind started to spiral, she was brought out of her circus of thoughts from the sound of footsteps coming from behind her. Her heart started racing as she turned around nearly fast enough to give her whiplash. Her eyes met the body of the unknown figure before meeting the other’s eyes.. ❛oh my gosh,❜ she placed a hand over her heart. ❛you almost gave me a heart attack.❜

“I didn’t mean to scare you, I just found it strange someone is here at this hour and wanted to check if everything is okay” many times she saw at the beach kids after parties totally ripped away from reality. Allie on other hand has been spotted here more often than anyone else as houses near Fig Beach sell the most and she’s always up early to have everything ready for the arrival of potential buyers. As always she was taking a walk, holding her heels in one hand not to let them get dirty when a sudden urge to walk closer to the girl didn’t want to leave her alone. Without realizing how silent her steps were at the beginning, the brunette's sudden turn in Allie’s direction scared the living hell out of her — but she didn’t let it show on the outside while her heart was racing like crazy.

Amelia was the first one in the shop today, a treat that had not happened too often since she started working here about a month ago. Quick Fix was far too quiet and even though it was really early, that didn’t stop her from connecting her phone to the speaker in the corner and blasting her all time favorite song. The rhythm of Selena had her dancing in no time, singing off key as she tied her hair back in a messy bun. Grabbing her tools, Mel began to make a mental list of what cars needed to be worked on today and when the parts for others were coming in. And yet, she didn’t stop dancing, spinning in beat to the cumbia blasting, Mel twirled and nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw she had a visitor and they had just seen and heard her sing and dance. “Shit!” She exclaimed, bending over to place her hands on her knees and get her heart rate back to normal. “You scared the hell out of me!” In her defense, she really hadn’t expected anyone else to stop by Quick Fix so early.  @hidehillstart​

Allie’s car was acting up for the past couple of days but this morning the sound of the engine started being unbearable. Walking in and hearing the music blasting inside, she had to step back outside and make sure she was at the right place. With a confirming nod of a head, she walked right back in, waiting for the other to stop and notice her. Arms now crossed from giving up that waiting will do her any good she spoke up  “excuse me, are you open already?” the woman was simply being polite with the question because inside she knew, she won’t go anywhere with the heels on and without a working car. Nothing at this hour around quick fix was open anyway for her to stop in the meantime.

   she shook her head, not meaning to ease drop on the teens fighting over the flavor choice. it was good seeing normalcy happening out in the world despite the disappearance, phoebe had to admit at the same time it felt  horrible thinking that but she was hoping for the best in all of this. it was sad but people needed to find their own way of coping. “if i were to say the best one - it’s totally toasted s’mores.” she stated, not loud enough to have the group hear her but the nearest person unfortunately burden with the out loud thought.

Working in a place like this, full of loud people would never be the right place for Allie to settle for. So she admired anyone that could bare with it, especially with calmness. She stopped by the ice cream parlor to get a lemon sorbet in a plastic cup to have something refreshing for the day, not knowing it was a hot spot for teenagers “Is it always this loud around here ?” she asked with annoyance.

“Fair enough. They’re mostly books that have been on the shelves since the dawn of time anyway.” She jokes, straightening up a bit as Allie sits across from her. Dark eyes scan her face as she takes the mug in her hands, head tilting a bit as she reads the room before speaking. “Well, it’s really up to you. I can do a quick three card reading for you, give some guidance, or if you were looking to learn more about different methods we can discuss that as well and set up an appointment.” She shrugs, offering a gentle smile. “It’s up to you, really.” Unlike the Misty’s before her, Reagan tried to keep at least a sense of transparency. Obviously when the more involved and excited groups came in she played it up, used her keen eye and calm demeanor to lure people into a false sense of security, but she didn’t need to do that most of the time. 

“You’re an expert in those matters I assume so I will trust you to pick what would work the best in my case. I came here to see if the —” she paused looking for the right word, remembering the one her friend kept using “universe is working in my favor or not.” Allie took a sip of the lavender tea, not taking eyes off the woman and gently putting the mug down while still holding it with both hands that were now very warmed up. The taste was intriguing. If she ever decided to come back here, it would be most likely for the tea.

“At least you have a watch on you” she sent a fleeting smile at the other, hearing the unnecessary clap back in her direction. Secretly Allie admired the fierce that people had within themself even in poor situations like this one. The time he said... depends on how he defines it. After grabbing heels she straightened up “Do you want to call someone?” she continued handing him the phone. She could have simply walked away, ignoring this whole situation like nothing happened but it was way too early to let anything ruin her mood. Especially right before when she will have to greet the potential buyers with a radiant smile that isn't an easy one to fake.

“Good choice. The lavender and mint are homemade.” She notes with a smile, taking off to craft the woman her drink, returning a moment later and setting it down on the table to cool. She takes a seat, lifting her own mug for a sip as Allie takes a look around. “See anything that catches your eye?” She asks, making observations, knowing the face and basic information already. It was always nice when notable people came in, it saved a lot of conversation, made it easier to ask the leading questions when… If they got to that point. 

“If I only knew what I’m looking at, maybe that would be the case but no” nothing, in particular, was catching her eye other than the fact that the interior was quite unique, nothing typical that could be seen in normal workspaces. Following the woman she sat down on the opposite side of the table, grabbing in both hands a cup of tea, and measuring how hot it is. “What are we starting from?” Allie cut right to the business, her eyes resting on the other. Her friend sent her here in hopes to calm her nerves which are caused by current events in the town that can poorly affect her thriving business.

“Go ahead and make yourself comfortable at the table, I’ll be right there.” She calls, finishing pouring herself some tea and carefully picking it up, robe trailing behind her as she makes her way to her guest. “Can I get you some tea? I have honey lemon, ginger, lavender and mint? Maybe some water?” She asks, setting down the mug on the table, waiting for their request before taking a seat herself.

She was beyond believing the superstitions and possibility of humans reading the future from glass balls and tarot cards. But this time she lost a bet and was sent here. The friend that set this up was believing it was for her own good, Allie on other hand was sure it was a pure waste of time. At least the diversity of tea flavors was interesting so she could treat this as a simple break from work “lavender sounds like an interesting choice” she answered with a brief smile, while her eyes wandered around the place.

          𝙳𝙴𝙰𝙲𝙾𝙽  𝙰𝚆𝙰𝙺𝙴𝙽𝚂  𝙶𝙰𝚂𝙿𝙸𝙽𝙶  𝙵𝙾𝚁  𝙰𝙸𝚁,  sitting  up  to  the  sun  having  just  risen  over  the  horizon,  sand  between  his  bare  toes  (  his  shoes  are  nowhere  to  be  found  ),  the  buttons  of  his  shirt  popped  open  exposing  an  unsightly  stain  on  his  threadbare  tank  top.  instinctively,  he  holds  his  palm  out  against  the  bright  light.  it  takes  a  few  seconds  for  his  vision  to  adjust,  for  his  brain  to  catch  up  to  his  surroundings.  his  watch  isn’t  on  his  wrist,  wallet  absent  from  his  pockets,  or  anywhere  on  the  tuft  of  weeds  he’d  been  lying  on.  he  has  no  idea  if  he’s  looking  at  a  sunrise  or  a  sunset.

further  up  the  shore,  he  sees  the  silhouette  of  someone  sitting  closer  to  the  water.  “hey,”  he  manages  weakly,  far  from  being  able  to  be  heard  over  the  crashing  of  waves  against  the  rocks.  his  throat  feels  like  sediment  had  gathered  at  its  base  overnight,  like  dry  canyons  cracking  at  the  surface.  he  tries  again,  “hey!”  louder  this  time,  and  starts  to  push  himself  off  of  the  tangled  morass  of  roots  and  leaves,  but  his  body  seems  to  want  to  remain  attached  to  the  ground.  he  stumbles  towards  the  unsuspecting  shadow  like  he’s  still  drunk,  leaving  a  cartoonish  dust  in  his  trail.  -  he  doesn’t  even  remember  consuming  alcohol  and  the  dull  headache  he’s  currently  isn’t  one  he  might  easily  attribute  to  a  hangover. it  just  has  always  been  there.

“hey - hey,  miss!  you got the time?  haven’t  got  anything  on  me.”  he  pats  his  empty  pockets  as  if  to  demonstrate.

She was always way too early on the clock for opening houses, making sure everything was completely settled for the clients to arrive at 8 am at their soon-to-be dream beach house. This time she decided to take a walk, admiring the beauty of the rising sun which made the surroundings and sounds of the crashing waves more appealing. While reaching the sand, she took her heels of not to risk any of them getting dirty or broken. Going directly to the water she passed the man laying on the ground, not thinking much as she has seen weirder things when living in New York. 

The time on the clock was still too early to head back, so she carefully sat down near the water, putting her heels aside. With closed eyes and a lifted chin, she was enjoying the white noise of water that brought calmness and relaxation to the woman. Not much time has passed when an annoying sound started interrupting the sound of a much needed human silence -- it was like a mosquito flying around her ear and not wanting to go away. It started getting closer and louder, making her open an eye and look up to where it was coming from. The sun now shining brighter made her vision blurry at first.  As it was slowly adjusting sharpness, a groan left her mouth from smelling the strong scent of alcohol. “What do you want me to do about it?” was a quick not much of a thoughtful answer. If he was in need of medical assistance, she was the wrong person at the wrong time. “If you think I took anything from you, then no it was not me,” Allie added while standing up and shaking sand off the dress, not making any direct eye contact anymore.

Born and raised in New York City to a rich family which owned several buildings and rental estate agencies in New York. From a young age, she was surrounded by influential people and sent by her parents to a business boarding school in the United Kingdom. When she came back to the states, she was attending college and got assigned work at the family’s company becoming one of the top salesmen, which led to the family business being mentioned in Forbes magazine. 

When she was finally thriving as a businesswoman at 24 years old, her parents decided to arrange a marriage with an older fellow business partner of theirs. Unfortunately, she had not much to say about this. Several dinners always in presence of her parents were enough for them to set the date and arrange the whole ceremony without a single input from her side.

Now as a wife she has been pushed aside from any type of work at the company, in their eyes, she was meant to be strictly a housewife and soon-to-be mother, focusing on giving birth to their grandchild that will keep the family heritage going. Not knowing how to find herself in this new situation, she turned to drinking and partying while spending the money of her husband on luxurious clothes, restaurants, and trips. One night when she came home completely drunk, she got pregnant with her husband. It turned her world upside down when at 27 she was meant to be a mother. Her life slowed down during pregnancy, finally becoming what her parents wanted her to be and giving birth to a baby girl soon after her 27th birthday. She fell in love at first sight, finally having someone to openly talk to since her husband mostly was never around. Without any help from any side of the family with raising a human being and no knowledge of how to do it, she fell into a depression a few months later. At 28 she decided to leave her daughter living in wealth by her husband’s side and run away to the small town in Nashville to finally find some peace within herself. To become the strong, independent woman she once was. Finding herself wasn’t easy but based on her skills she quickly build a small empire of her own around Nashville, Tennessee. Because of the comfort the town brought upon her shoulders and keeping herself constantly wrapped in work, she hasn’t even once visited her daughter in New York, filing for divorce with her husband trough agents 5 years ago not to have to see him again. The current events in town make her worried that everything she build from the ground without any help will fall apart, leaving her at the start point all over again. Or worse she will have to come back to her old life in New York City, facing demons of the past.
