OAAHH.... Pupy 😭
I referred to something as a "real Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra moment" in conversation with someone who has never seen TNG, and let me tell you, that was a real Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra moment
why are you as an adult open-mouth coughing all over the place
He gets really upset when I make fun of his allergies.
I do think Western Plaguelands is the scariest zone in hardcore, despite it not even being a max level zone
See, Eastern Plaguelands is a nice respectable leveling zone. You roll in there, talk to Tirion (and Nathanos if you're Horde) and get your quests to go kill one fucktillion mobs that are scattered about the zone in abundant quantities and properly distanced from each other. One quick pop in to check on Pamela, then over to Light's Hope for some errands to the west, then you're off to Silithus. Just so long as you don't enter the Spider Death Tunnel or fall prey to the temptation to click on the strawberry gummies littered around the zone, it's perfectly safe. Western Plaguelands is like you roll up to the Argent Dawn camps and they're like hello hero. how many skeletons do you think can occupy one square meter at once. take this cauldron flask and go find out
always some shit going on here!
I wanna make a pilgrimage to the Stonetalon Mountains 0,0 hardcore mob death ball. did they hotfix it out yet
the majesty of nature.......
show the poster
I'm not showing it in its entirety since it's a birth announcement...thing (there's text on it and it has a grammar mistake) but here's the worst of it:
A few days ago, I saw a very bad AI generated poster outside and my glasses straight up broke out of misery and now I'm winging everything until I can pick up a new pair.
Half-skimming text and guessing what it says from the first few words makes me feel very American.
He's becoming brown!
I thought he was done changing colours but apparently not! He had a little bit of brown on his back, but it seems that the brown on his sides is spreading and taking over.
I still don't know what colour he is and how to call it 🤷♀️
"Oh yeah, we have an outdoor Corgi, he just gets so bored cooped up inside all day. He knows to stay off the road. Don't worry, he's way too smart for coyotes and the neighbor's know to look out when they drive past."
"Us? Oh, of *course* our Dachshund sleeps inside- we just let him out in the morning and make sure he comes back for dinner. He just does his own thing, no worries."
"Um, you know it's not humane to keep a chihuahua confined to an apartment? They're dogs, they're natural predators. They need to experience hunting behaviors or they get depressed. No we don't leash ours, he absolutely hates it, we just let him come and go whenever."
Yall get how fucking stupid that sounds, right? So stop letting your goddamn cats get eaten and attacked and infected and hit by cars
A toddler would probably love full unattended access to the neighborhood too, but we don't do that either, do we
It's 2026, "keep your damn pet in a house or in your view" should not be controversial
I had to go on a hunt for this but it was worth it. 100% agree
I wonder how many times the average WoW player has heard the male human NPC aggro sound
truly a universal experience
The human mating call is a truly majestic sound to behold.
Poor baby! How did that happen?
I'm not sure... he was running around with a friend but it was midnight so I didn't notice anything until we got home and saw blood on his foot. I suppose he snagged his thumb on something, maybe on the curb or his friend's harness.
He's doing fine though. He has a very high pain threshold which helps. We just need to keep it clean so it can heal properly.
eta: It might have been glass. Shitty people always throw glass in the park. Will have to ask Sammy's owner if she's okay.
This poor puppy tore his thumbnail off and received several gifts to make up for the torture he has to go through (having his footie washed and anointed)
You know, when I've remarked that a lot of the responses to my posts feel like people are just plucking out keywords they think they recognise based on the shape of them and replying to what they imagine the post says based on that, the possibility never occurred to me that this is actually how many American schools are currently teaching kids to read.
Like, my assumption this whole time has been that when folks go "I misunderstood this post that says [thing] as saying [unrelated thing] because I mistook [word] for [completely different word that happens to start with the same letter]", that was a bit. What do you mean they're teaching kids a reading method that's tailored to produce this exact error?
Three cueing. Once you learn about it, a whole lot of very frustrating online discourse with US Americans makes so much sense 😭
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have
hey, tag this with a food people get really upset about you not liking
