Look what just came in the mail!!! JUNE paperbacks will be out on February 14th. I can't think of a better present for your honey- especially since the book now includes a reader's guide, two articles written by yours truly *plus* a bunch of recipes from the book (perfect for a book group) *plus* two chapters from Bittersweet! Plus a beautiful new sexy face. Plus think of how happy it would make me! 😘
Today, in maybe humanity ain't so bad: you may recall a few months back that Q and I found a Horcrux on the subway platform. We were headed up to Ct for the weekend, and showed it to my dad who was kind enough to promise to mail it to the owner (whose name and address were in the front cover). This just came back to us, along with two notebooks and a twenty dollar bill. Lesson to those of us who carry notebooks: always include your contact info!

This man with the skinny legs was my grandmother's great uncle, Lemon Grey Neely, and the inspiration for #junebook, and on Monday my mom and I are taking a pilgrimage to his hometown of St. Marys, Ohio to celebrate.
