Soooooo. I don't really know what compelled me to write this, but if it matters any i watched my favorite VN ytber play this like 20 times.
Subject to change.
And I've never done something like this before unless it's dead by daylight related.
These are just some general head cannons for "The Stranger" I don't have much to go off; personality wise or the things he can do, so a lot of this will be spit balled, if the Creator decides to make a follow-up game this will be changed.
Hopefully I'll have somethings correct I'll have some things wrong, but I really do enjoy this visual novel. Mandela catalog.
đđ
Platonic/romantic. Warning, stalking, possible skin-walking, genitalia mentions and dark themes.
So usually i see people start with how you meet the guy but it's kinda straightforward?
You wake up to a creep, jiggling your door nob like you owe him money.
Getting up to investigate; you walk over to your door.
Every fiber of your being is screaming to do something, anything but entertaining this guy.
One creepy smile and a half later.
For all intensive purposes lets say the next time around you let him in. (dumbass)
He's actually quite friendly, he speaks like a teleprompter. Every word is carefully picked.
Carefully said, for his strength lies in his ability to articulate, manipulate and destroy.
That's how he speaks, proper English, no less no more.
-ËËâââââ
The stranger likes to follow you around, understatement of the century.
He pretty much becomes part of you.
He's very awkward, unless prompted most times you'll just sit in silence.
If you do decide to engage with him, them, it?
He's very engaged, not like much else matters anyways...
Every 'how's your day' is met with the same question in response.
"how was your day?"
To be honest he doesn't understand the question very well, his eyes drifting to the side trying to understand why you'd wanna know something so trivial.
-ËËâââââ
The longer you spend together the more you begin to notice small things, like how slowly his mannerisms start to mimic yours.
-ËËâââââ
He loves watching you play your favorite game, he may ask why you play or what's going on in the game.
-ËËâââââ
If you like horror games in particular, he seems to take a particular interest in those.
He gazes blankly at the screen while you sweat bullets, every jump scare making you jump and him... Why is he staring so intensely at you?
As you continue to play he may gaze at the game for a little but it often always drifts back to you.
-ËËâââââ
He doesn't sleep, why would he?
So often you'll wake up to his black voids for eyes staring at you from the corner of your bed, maybe from an uncanny angle.
-ËËâââââ
Loves to pick you up, and other shows of strength.
You may be sitting down when his eerily cold hands grab at your sides before picking you up.
Flashing those pearly whites that eerily lack depth.
-ËËâââââ
Has ZERO lack of privacy, does what he does without shame.
*walks in on you changing*
"can you leave, please?"
"why?"
"Because... I'm changing?"
"oh..."
You both end up just standing there.
-ËËâââââ
Hiding from him is nearly impossible. Somehow he always seems to know where you are? in the visual novel he can feel you there through the door, so maybe some type of like, cats whiskers situation?
He can tell how many fingers you're holding up even if you're behind him.
VERY fast, don't underestimate his speed.
Running is a futile attempt.
*you dash behind a wall your breathing lacking control, every breath coming out like a harsh stab at your airways.*
"who are we hiding from?"
-ËËâââââ
Knows where you work and will leave questionably sourced take-out. There's blood stains on the bag but don't mind that.
Wasn't it nice of him to bring you sustenance?
-ËËâââââ
WILL kill for you, no questions asked.
On that topic, he can get very jealous.
What do you mean he has to share his favorite human with some meat bag?
you don't know exactly what he is and he intends to keep it that way.
-ËËâââââ
He'll disappear for an hour and come back like nothing happened. How'd he get back in?
-ËËâââââ
He can mimic voices, just a hunch but he seems to take a lot of inspiration from the Mandela catalog, why not?
He loves to mimic voices, they range from a weak imitation of one of your favorite actors.
Or eerily accurate to a girl that went missing last week?
-ËËâââââ
Sometimes his skin will start to droop, just remind him and he'll fix it, otherwise you'll have a humanoid with a black void as a face.
He doesn't particularly notice; nor care.
Maybe he can shapeshift, in the VN he did mention that you've met before, but considering we seemingly don't know him from anywhere, he may shapeshift.
NSFW TOPICS PAST THIS POINT. â ď¸
-ËËâââââ
No matter if you'd rather believe he made the body itself, or it stole it.
Depending on whether you prefer female anatomy or male or both, he has those.... Bits.
All in an attempt to replicate humans of course, they don't really function?
The shaft in particular is just the blackness that makes his innards just break through the skin of the penis, because it's too big.
It tries his/her/their best to replicate it to your liking as possible!
-ËËâââââ
I must preference most of this is not canon, just speculation. I had a lot of fun writing this.
Maybe if people care for this I might write a yandere alphabet.
Iâm not sure how to start this off but do you mind writing some general fluff ďżźrelationship ďżźimages with as many women killers as you can? (Many some smut of you are cool with that)
-Anonyđ
sure thing! <3 i was really stoked about this request tbh, i wasn't expecting to get much for the fem killers so it was nice!! hope you don't mind i did the "weirder" ones cause they're personally some of my faves and i think they need love :-) <3
this does include the nsfw, they're the last two bullet points on every character in case anyone wants to skip reading them!
Sally Smithson / The Nurse:
Sally is super sweet and caring with you. She has some leftover nurse tendencies and is always trying to make sure you're taken care of. She may baby you occasionally, but she tries not to if it's not something you're comfortable with. Your comfort is her top priority.
She loves being close to you and touching you; holding your hand, having an arm around your waist or shoulders. She's very physically affectionate, and it helps her be able to protect you. She feels more comfortable with you as close to her as possible. (But if you're not comfortable with this, she'll settle for having you nearby.)
She also loves just spending quiet moments with you, where the two of you aren't worrying about anything and are just enjoying each others' presence. Doing your own separate things or just sitting quietly together, she doesn't mind either way. She's just happy to be with you.
You always calm her down when she gets worked up due to a trial, and she is endlessly thankful for that. It's been so long since she's had someone who helps her so much. When she's stressed out, she just thinks of you, and those thoughts take her to a much happier place.
-
Sally is very old-fashioned and vanilla. If you have any sort of kinks, chances are she wonât even have heard about it, but sheâd be willing, if a little nervous (even if itâs something tame), to try it. Her main concern in the bedroom is making sure youâre pleased, and sheâs willing to go way out of her comfort zone.
Sheâs also very susceptible to touches and dirty talk. You could turn her on just like a switch if you wanted to and have her borderline begging for it, depending on how far you want to take it. She prefers you donât torment herâŚBut she knows itâs all for fun.
Lisa Sherwood / The Hag:
Lisa is extremely protective of you, and can get a little hostile towards other killers and survivors when it comes to you. She's like an angry chihuahua. She just wants to keep you safe but doesn't know any other way, she hopes it shows you how dedicated she is to you.
If the two of you have to separate for a trial or something, she'll give you a bunch of her good luck and protection charms so you can stay safe even without her. She hates leaving you, but knows her charms will do her work for her if she must.
She's very clingy and loves to cuddle, it makes her feel safe. She especially loves resting her head on your chest or your lap, but most of the time she'll just trap you by wrapping all of her gangly limbs around you. Hopefully you don't have anything to do, because you might have to drag her with you.
She loves going on long walks with you, especially at night, or during rainfall. She'll always either walk ahead of you or will hold your hand while you walk, to be on lookout for you. She loves stopping by flowers and picking them for you, or wandering off a path to see wildlife.
-
Lisa is very bitey during sex. She won't hurt you badly â not on purpose, anyways â but she gets a little aggressive. She will scratch you, too. She hopes you don't mind having a few marks afterwards.
She gets very clingy afterwards, too, though. She may even get fussy if you donât hold her in some way after. So if you have something you need to do when youâre done, itâs going to have to wait for a few minutes.
High Priestess Adiris / The Plague:
Adiris is always there to comfort you when you're upset about anything. She always mumbles about how the Gods have a plan (even if you don't believe â it's something she always says, in the hopes it helps any little bit), will cradle you in her arms, sing to you, make you a hot drink. Anything you need to feel better, she'll fetch it or do it.
She's always taking care of you in any little way she can. She may be a little overbearing, but she means well. She's always making sure you're feeling well and have everything you need. She checks in constantly, and she hopes she doesn't frustrate you. She just gets worried, is all.
She burns calming incense for you all the time, and for herself. But mostly for you. She knows how stressful being in the realm can be and she does what she can to make it better for you.
She's very shy, and is very prone to blushing. If you say any sweet little thing to her, she'll turn completely red, and may even find something to busy herself. She's not used to such sweetness, you'll have to forgive her.
-
Adiris prefers giving more than receiving, in all honesty. Performing oral, manual, being a service top. It's what she's more used to. That's not to say she won't accept you taking the leadâŚShe just gets more flustered when it's you. She finds it difficult to keep her composure.
She's very insecure about her body, so she loves body worship. Even in just the slightest way â just a kiss, a word and she's crumbling. Melting into a puddle under your touch.
Charlotte Deshayes / The Twins:
Charlotte sees you as more of her protector than she as yours. You're so kind to her, she knows you'll stand up for her when she can't. She may be a killer now, but she still gets picked on, she's sensitive and appreciates having someone on her side.Â
You're the only person she trusts to look after Victor when she has something she needs to do. She knows Victor is a handful, but she can always trust you with him. She loves seeing you running around with him, playing and having fun.
She can be a bit childish sometimes, having a sort of wonderment about things she never got to experience as a child. Cartoons, stuffed animals, coloring and painting. She feels insecure about this â but when you let her know it's okay and it's not weird, she's more comfortable. She loves it when you join her, she loves sitting down and doing silly things like that.
She loves reading to you or having you read to her, it's one of her most favorite things. When you're reading to her, she gets all cozied up to your side with Victor, and may just fall asleep. If she's reading to you, she has the book between both of you in case she needs help with some English. She also likes letting Victor look at the illustrations, if there are any.
-
Charlotte has a massive praise kink. She loves to be praised, especially by you. You can really turn her on just by telling her that she's a good girl, she's doing a good job. It makes her putty in your hands.
She absolutely loves it when you leave kisses all over her body. Her chest, back, shoulders, stomach, thighs. It makes her feel soâŚFuzzy inside. She wishes you'd never, ever stop.
Carmina Mora / The Artist:
Carmina loves having a shoulder to cry on when she needs it. She's still so grief-stricken all the time, so sad. It overwhelms her sometimes, and she needs someone to hold her and tell her everything's alright. She is endlessly thankful for you and all that you do for her. You make life more bearable for her. She's so much happier.
She loves to sketch and paint you any free moment she gets, she has so many art pieces focused on you she could probably fill a whole gallery with them. She thinks you're so amazing, so stunning, she always feels the need to capture you.
She's so happy having another person to tend to her crows with her. It was the one thing that gave her solace before she met you, and now she gets to share it with you. She puts some bird seed in your hand and promises they won't hurt you, watching with a genuine smile on her face as they land on your wrist and eat from your hand.
She's always coaxing you to be creative, no matter your medium or skill level. She loves you, and wants you to express yourself. She would never stifle you. She absolutely loves seeing what you create, she's always full of compliments for you. She proudly displays your creations next to hers.
-
Carmina is very noisy in bed. A screamer. She hardly even realizes how loud she can be, she just gets lost in you, how much you're pleasing her, how right it feels. People can probably hear her all across the realm.
She can get a bit aggressive in bed. Not with the intention of hurting you, but she can just get so overwhelmedâŚShe loses her control, thrusts herself against you like a wild animal. Clawing at you, biting you, leaving puddles of ink in your skin.
Adriana Imai / The Skull Merchant:
Adriana is very into PDA and loves showing you off to everyone else. You're her trophy partner, and she will parade you around and make sure both you and everyone else know just how much she loves you. It's rare to earn her affection, and you're very special.
She loves to have you on her lap or just sitting with her while she plans out her next trial, or works on her drones. She just enjoys having you close. And if you want to help her, she's happy to let you; listening to your input, or guiding your hands to fasten together her drones.
She's always fussing over your appearance, making sure your hair looks nice and straightening up your clothes, brushing you off. Even if you don't find yourself particularly good-looking, she thinks you're stunning and wants to make sure the outside reflects the inside.
You're the only person she cares to listen to. She knows her ideas are great and she doesn't need input from anyone else, except you. She's always willing to listen to you about anything, everything. You're the only person with valuable input.
-
Adriana is a verse, believe it or not. She prefers topping, but if her partner is strong enough to knock her down and wrench control from her, she'll accept it and she'll love every minute of it. Fighting for dominance in the bedroom is one of her favorite things.
She's into some hardcore stuff, and she's very dutiful with aftercare. If the two of you have done something harsh and straining especially, she'll pull you to her chest and ask if you need anything at all. She can't break her favorite toy, after all.
Epps was on her final stand her crew was long gone she was just left with the person meant to kill her. With quick hands she Aimed to The detonator but before she could even pull the trigger a black fog engulfed her and Jack ferryman.

gender neutral reader. michael himself is a warning. tags: @spookyscaryslashy @meshlaxbunny @myers-meadow @frenziedslashers @ace-of-hearts-and-spades @house-of-slayterr
OG Mikey stands so close to you itâs a little awkward. You feel his body heat and hear him breathing. His hands are always touching you in some wayâ for many reasons. One, he needs to make it known you belong to him. Two, he needs to keep himself grounded and under control. Skin to skin (in any way) is the best way to keep him from losing it and bashing someoneâs head into a cooler door. Three, Michael feels the need to be more protective in such a crowded environment. People are a threat to you and he will not hesitate to kill everyone in sight if they do anything to you.
Michael really loves junk food. He will put whatever he wants in the cart or stare at it until you get it. Donât waste your time saying noâ it never works.
Anything you need on the top shelf? Heâs got it. Did someone take the last one of your favorite snacks? He simply takes it from their hands like a child fighting over a toy. They instinctively fear him and say/do nothing. Say thank you and kiss his cheek, itâll make him feel good about himself. (Praise kink..)
He likes to watch you get excited about anything in the store. Itâs cute to him. And itâs a way to learn more about you. Gasped at something you wanted to buy but it was too expensive? Itâs on your bed a week later with the tags still on it. Everything you look at, with want or dismissal, he notices. Michael is constantly taking mental notes of you.
Donât worry about carrying all the bags to the car, heâs got it. He wonât let you carry anything into the house either. He does leave you to put everything away though. Heâs not a fan of that.
On good daysâ shopping with Michael can be a 8/10, on bad days.. letâs just say he nearly killed a guy with a frozen pizza for eyeing you up and down.
Itâs best to take him shopping after heâs had a fulfilling hunting spree.
Peepaw is so grumpy in stores. He does not want to be there but he does it for you. Just like OG, he needs to protect you at all times. Youâre never out of his sight. He normally doesnât stand too close, he likes to stand guard with his hunting posture. People give him weird looks but it never bothers him. (The dead look in his eye(s) donât help either..)
However, when you start walking, thatâs when he gets inside your personal bubble. He is very close, his good hand gripping your wrist or hand. (Nobody will snatch you away from him if heâs holding you hostage, I guess.)
Michael wants specific foods and you let him put it all in the cart. You push the cart and he does everything else. Manners donât exist with him in public places. If anyone is in your way then they will move. One way or another. Luckily no one has tried to push him out of the way. You blame the way he stands and that dark look in his eye.
The only time you see any trace of of emotions is when he looks at you. Blink and youâll miss it. The way it loses the coldness, the way his gaze softens and watches your every move with adoration.
Steals anything you want. You never catch him doing it. It just shows up in your room later that night and you canât help but to smile at his efforts of being romantic/showing he loves you.
Like OG, he will carry everything for you. And he prefers to be the one driving. One hand will always find itâs home which is settled between your thighs. Nothing sexual about it unless you make it sexual.
Tries helping you put it away but ends up getting in the way more than anything. Donât be scared to shoo him away, he doesnât take any offense.
On good days its a 10/10. Michael makes it go quick. In and out, never longer than 30 minutes. Bad days..? You donât even get to check out. Itâs best to leave the second you notice his breathing change.

How would the yan!family's react to their Darling being willing to join the family but only if they let their blood family live with them as well? And if they did agree to their Darling's conditions, how would life look like with both family's being smashed together? Thank you! ^^
I donât think any of the yanfamilyâs would be too happy with moving in or cohabitating with their darlingâs real family. Even if they all donât live together, the familyâs donât want to split their time anymore then necessary, nor do they want to spend any of their time with their darling with the real family around cause then itâll only be more of a fit for their darlingâs attention. They already fight amongst each other they donât need t had more competition to the mix.
The Batfamily would begrudgingly try it out but the second it becomes too much or shit hits the fan then thatâs it. They understand the only reason their darling is even willing to give them a chance to begin with is if their real family can be there too, they get it but they hate it. The whole point is to bring the darling into their own family, to have them be solely a part of their family and to forget about their old one. I think having the real family around would only cause more resentment towards them and their natural and genuine relationship with the darling. The Batfamily would get jealous and the real family is going to be the ones to blame.
The Superfamily would be a little more willing to give it a try although I think their way of going about it would be dual coparenting basically. Like, each family lives in their own homes but keep in consistent contact with each other and communicate with one another, especially when concerning the darling. The darling will be at either respected household for a week or two and then a week or two at the other one. I could see this actually working out pretty well with the Superfamily. Theyâre at least willing to try and be as cohesive as possible without trying to take too much control over the situation when compared to the Batfamily. I have this image in my head of the darling being walked down the aisle or something and both Clark and their real dad or whatever are walking alongside them on either side. It would be pretty cute honestly, I really think the Superfamily could get along with the real family very well. Especially if itâll make their darling happy. Thatâs what matters after all.
The Green Lantern Corp would be a whole other situation in itself. I canât really see yandad!Hal wanting to go as far as living with his darlingâs real parents. And I also doubt the rest of the Green Lanters would be down to chill out on Earth with the people who theyâve been trying to steal their kid from. I think Hal would try it out just for his darling but the second he doesnât really feel like it anymore heâs taking his bby to live in space. No ifs, ands, or buts. Space it is!
The Clown Family wouldnât put up with the ultimatum, specifically Joker. I could see Harley maybe willing to give it a try cause why not but it would be difficult, the real family would have to walk on eggshells around her. Harley can be a little too trigger happy especially when it comes to her precious bby. Joker on the other hand just doesnât like to share whatsoever.
The Al Ghul Family wouldnât put up with it either. I could see Raâs being swindled into trying it for his darlingâs sake but it wouldnât last long. Especially with Talia around. She would not enjoy anything having to do with the real family around. She would think of them only as an obstacle in her way and nothing more. I think she would happily get rid of the real family whether her father allows it or not. I could see Raâs being peaceful, again only for his darlingâs sake, and sending their family back to where they live unharmed. But Talia wouldnât like it. She wouldnât be able to rest easy knowing their real family is out there, it takes away from the darling giving into and accepting the Al Ghul family as their own.
The Avengers would be apprehensive. I think they would probably be another one to begrudgingly try it out only to use the excuse of how dangerous it is for the real family to be associated with the Avengers. Like, the Avengers can protect the darling just fine but the family is another story. They would most likely end up being more like the Superfamily in the sense that they work better with the real family when theyâre separated from each other. Theyâre more then okay with keeping open communication and contact with the real family but being intertwined together like that just wouldnât work too well.
The X-men would be similar to the Avengers. Thereâs already a lot going on with the school so the living thing probably wouldnât happen but Xavier would be more than willing to keep open communication with the real family. Especially if he knows theyâre good people. A few of the members may have their qualms about it (Logan) but itâs nothing they canât deal with or work through. As long as their darling is content and things are going well then itâs alright.
The Fantastic 4 would be another one to try it out, whatâs the most that can go wrong. Besides Ben inadvertently breaking stuff. It would be a little hectic honestly, especially with Ben and Johnny around, mainly Johnny given how much he likes to rile Ben up. I genuinely feel like Sue and Reed would try their hardest to make things work but it would certainly be a task. Especially given trying to save the world and what not, it would just be safer for the real family to stay where they are. But Sue and Reed would keep open communication with them, even often inviting the real family out for dinners and get togethers. If itâll make their darling happy then the Fantastic 4 family will try their best to make it work, even if some things have to be accommodated.
I could actually see the Madrigal Family being pretty open to this actually. I could even see it being Abuelaâs idea to win over the darling, especially if theyâre just too hesitant in leaving their own family to join the Madrigalâs. I think Abuela would be even more consumed by perfection when it comes to the real family coming to live with them. She wants everything to work out perfectly so their darling can be theirs. This is already something out of the ordinary that she would do but if it got their darling to trust them because of it then so be it. The family would all be tasked in trying to win over the darlingâs family so that they can finally have the darling become part of the Madrigal family.
I donât think any of the Game of Thrones families would be down for this honestly. Itâd probably end in murder, real talk. The Tyrells might but it would only be for a time. The Martells may give it a try but that could go either way. The Starks wouldnât move the real family in with them but theyâd probably keep in communication with them. The Lannisters, and the Greyjoys would be a hard ass no on that one. The Targaryens I could see giving it a try to appease their darling and be in their good graces but when it gets to be bothersome or some shit goes down then I think it would probably end in murder.

You were a tourist who was in the wrong place at the wrong time - seen things you werenât meant to see.
And thatâs how you ended up here, chained up in a warehouse for what you could only have guessed to have been a couple of months.
You were barely kept alive by restricted rations of food and water the cartel members gave you, needing you alive but just weak enough to not be able to fight back.
They kept you around for their own amusement, hitting you, beating you, humiliating you.
You missed your family, your friends, your old life. You truly believed, with a heavy heart, that youâd die here without ever getting the chance to see them again.
UntilâŚ
It had all happened so fast that you couldnât keep up with it all.
One minute there was a group of men playing poker at a table nearby, the next theyâd all been blown away by some nigh-silent, unseen force.
As soon as it had began, it was all over, though gunfire resonated from deeper within the warehouse.
Your heart thudded, your mind hazy and heavy yet just about conscious enough to acknowledge a set of heavy, booted footsteps nearing you.
A walkie-talkie crackled, followed by a deep, gravelly voice.
The chains keeping you tethered to the metal post were cut and your hands fell.
You barely had the strength to lift them, nevermind your head, which lolled forward, gaze fixed in your lap.
The person who you presumed to have released you knelt down before you. A gloved hand pushed against your forehead, forcing you to look at them.
He was ghastly.
His flesh face was covered by a second, the insignia of his endoskeleton splayed across a dark mask. His eyes were dark and seemed to swallow all light that tried to glimmer within them.
âCan you talk?â he said. His voice was calm yet lacked patience, as if he knew time was short.
You could barely move, barely think.
You said nothing.
The man took your non-answer and moved to lift you, keeping an arm under yours and the other firmly holding his gun.
Now, stood at full height, walking on legs you hadnât used in months, your body couldnât handle it.
Your blood pressure dropped and so did you.
The man grunted as your weight collapsed into him, almost taking him with you.
You fell unconscious, and the man rearranged you, slinging his gun over his shoulder and carrying you in his arms.
The next time you awoke, the setting was drastically different.
The dust-filled, sweltering warehouse you had grown accustomed to had given was to a blindingly white facility, the scent of streilisers and medicine filling your nostrils.
You couldnât move much, body heavy yet soul willing, and your eyes shifted beneath hooded lids.
A machine beeped closeby, one you recognised to be mimicking your heartbeat. The rest of the room was quiet, save for the turning of paper somewhere.
The surface beneath you was plush, encompassing you, unlike the warehouse floor.
Putting the pieces together, your heart began to pound. The heart monitor copied.
A nearby nurse rushed to your side, turning your head this way and that and shining a light in your eyes, talking at you rather than to you.
The rest became a blur.
Doctors visited, recorded your condition. You didnât know where you were but you knew you were safe. For now, at least.
Some officers came and tried speaking to you, only to find you unable (or unwilling) to talk.
This came as a discovery to you, too.
Soon after waking up, you found that your mind, your memories, were blank. Nothing of your prior self remained save for an overview of your torturous time in captivity, andâŚ
That mask.
The man whoâd saved you.
You found it hard to speak, not having done so properly in months save for begging for your life and crying whenever you were alone.
When one of the officers asked you if there was anything you needed, your body acted on instinct, by reflex, and came out with only one word.
âSkull.â
Ghost was stationed by you shortly after that, having been known to be the one who brought you back to Base and the only one to resemble the âskullâ youâd spoken of.
The task wasâŚmind numbing, to say the least.
After your singular request for the man who saved you, you went silent again.
No words, no noises, just you sat in the hospital bed, dead to the world.
Nobody could coax a word from you, not even Ghost, as you heard him introduce himself.
The events of the last couple months had forced you into a state of âDissociative amnesia,â as the doctor had put it. âRare, but real.â
The doctor said it could take a while for you to regain your memories, and until then, you would have to be kept under supervision.
No permanent thoughts crossed your mind during your period of blankness. They flitted in and out of your consciousness as a phantom would.
Ghost had only tried interacting with you two or three times, the first being his introduction, the others being an attempt at getting any sort of response from you.
Nothing worked, and you were both resigned to sitting in silence with one another.
Days passed, you werenât sure how many.
Ghost was getting impatient.
He knew you could be a key witness to the cartelâs deeper activities, but he knew he couldnât force your cooperation. Not while you were practically vegetative, at least.
Ghost sat on a chair by your bedside, all but resembling a mannequin.
He stared into the distance.
âOh,â came your small, croaking voice. âItâs you.â
Ghost almost didnât turn to look at you, believing the voice to be a hallucination.
He hazarded a glance and almost considered jumping.
You looked at him, dead into his eyes, conscious, talking.
Another blur of activity surrounded you immediately after, Ghost alerting the doctors to you becoming vocal again and leaving them to do their job not long after.
Tests were run, your memory was tested (of which there was still little), and the better part of a day was spent observing you, trying to determine whether you were ready for interrogation or not.
Luckily, the higher-ups seemed to feel lenient, giving you longer to recover until you were expected to produce answers to their copious questions.
In the meantime, Ghost was assigned to you day and night, both as your protector and observer.
He wasâŚquiet, to say the least.
Rarely spoke unless spoken to, meaning he was of little entertainment to you in your bed-bound state.
This led to you trying to make small talk, regardless of whether Ghost would respond or not.
Little did you know that, despite his lack of participation, Ghost was listening to every single word you said.
During a one-sided conversation, you mentioned colouring, an activity you liked when you were younger.
âYeah!â you said, face lighting up as you slowly recalled a memory of your younger self, colouring book in tow. âI remember that my grandma had this old, really old colouring book that she gave me. It was vintage, smelled like antique book pages, sweet,â
Ghost watched you, listened. He saw your face light up. You looked at him, eyes smiling.
âIt was nearly as old as her when she gave it to me; I was terrified of ruining it so I never coloured in it. Just kept it safely on my bookshelf, looked at the pictures before bedâŚâ
The day after, Ghost came to you with a colouring book and a box of pencils.
âNot exactly vintage, but itâll do,â he said, laying the book and the utensils on your bedside.
You smiled up at him as he settled into his seat.
âThank you, Ghost,â you said, smiling. âI mean it.â
Ghost offered minimal input whenever you spoke to him, which you still did while you coloured the pictures.
It wasnât much, but it was a start.
After that, over the course of a week, more memories came back to you.
They were small, inconsequential at best, but they were evidence that you were making a fast recovery.
And Ghost was there to hear every single one of them.
Whenever you came out with something new, heâd write it down in a Base-issued notebook, telling you to slow down whenever words failed you, your mind wrapped up in splinters of who you were - who you are.
And you would glance at his notes every now and then.
âWow,â you said, suppressing a smile. âYour handwritingâs worse than mine.â
âIâd like to see you do better,â Ghost replied, barely casting you a glance.
You reached for the pen, which Ghost withheld from you until he realised what you were trying to do.
Now, equipped, you turned to a new page in the notebook and tried writing something.
It came out like a doctorâs signature, merely cursive scribbles that meant nothing to the untrained eye.
Ghost eyed your work.
âWhat you tryna write?â he said, accent rough.
You bit your lip, trying to focus all your efforts on making what was in your head come out onto the paper.
âMy name,â you said.
Ghost seemed to straighten up at that.
The memory was weak, a fawn stumbling on its wiry legs, trying to find purchase.
But it was there, behind frosted glass. You could vaguely make out the letters which would be the key to your existence.
You kept scrawling, muscle memory having weakened significantly, until you hit upon a familiar pattern.
The âlettersâ were indecipherable, even to yourself. The memory of your name began to fade, and, though you grasped at it, you were left with nothing as it was consumed by darkness.
You stopped writing, defeat overtaking you.
âWhyâd you stop?â Ghost asked, looking up from the notebook to you.
You felt tears fill your eyes, tried to keep them in.
âI forgot again,â you said, voice cracking.
The pen lay limp in your hand, and Ghost removed it, putting it down.
The fabric of his glove against your skin sent a jolt through you, unexpected but strangely comforting.
âWell,â Ghost said, a temporary solution coming to him. âHow âbout we give you a new name, just âtil you find your real one.â
You sniffed, tried smiling at the gesture, and nodded.
You went back and forth for a while, trying to think of a name that would suit you based on the limited information you had about yourself so far.
âIt needs to be nice,â you said. Ghost gave a slight inclination of a nod. You kept thinking.
âFawn,â Ghost said.
His eyes bore into you, though you suspected that was just his disposition rather than him intentionally trying to spook you.
âHowâs that sound?â
You tried the name on your tongue, then, you beamed.
âI like it,â you said, giving Ghost a grateful smile.
From that day on, Ghost referred to you as Fawn, a name that the rest of the Base staff called you, too, having nothing else to call you.
Ghost never told you why he picked that name. Perhaps he saw something in you that resembled your namesake. Your newborn optimism, perhaps.
At your bedside night and day, Ghost became the first and only witness of your memories as they slowly revealed themselves to you.
Some were light-hearted, some were filled with the natural sorrow found in human life, and some were downright embarrassing; all of which gave Ghost gradual insights into who you are.
He eventually seemed comfortable enough to make fun of your more embarrassing ones, such as the time you went to a store your crush worked at, only to find that you had toilet paper stuck to the heel of your shoe the entire time.
This became somewhat of a joke between you and Ghost. One that the staff seemed to find confusing.
Whenever staff escorted you to and from the bathroom, Ghost would look down at your feet.
âNo toilet paper to worry about this time,â heâd say.
Your face would burn at the memory, but youâd laugh regardless.
You also forced him to listen to music that came to you as visions from another time, tunes which youâd hum to Ghost, who recorded them, took them to whoever, and would come back with the song it originated from.
Soon, you had three or four CDs which contained music youâd enjoyed before your amnesia.
They all felt and sounded familiar. Comforting.
Youâd implore (guilt trip) Ghost to listen to them, too.
His face - his eyes, really, the rest of it was covered - were blank as you passed him the headphones, preparing himself to listen to whatever youâd found that day.
He gave no indication of whether he enjoyed it or not.
âI can see why you like it,â is all he would say, passing the headphones back to you.
âOh?â you said once, laying the headphones on the bed. âAnd whatâs that supposed to mean?â
Ghost leaned forward onto his knees, elbows propped upon them.
âIt means,â he began, âthat Iâm not surprised this is the type of music you listen to.â
You feigned hurt, having slowly regained your ability to utilise humour after your diagnosis, the days getting easier.
âWell, I bet I can guess what type of music you like to listen to.â You held a smile on your face, just bordering on smug.
Ghost gave you a look. âOh yeah?â he said, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest. âGo on, then.â
You pretended to think for a moment, already having thought this question through many times before. Ghost was elusive, that much was plain to see, yet you imagined him in ways that made him familiar - human - to you.
âI bet you like metal,â you said. âHeavy.â
Ghost gave a sound that may have been a laugh.
âAm I that easy to read?â he said, a smirk vague in his tone.
âNo,â you replied, innocently. âIâm just not surprised thatâs the type of music you listen to.â
Ghost gave a slow, sarcastic, demeaning clap, muffled by his gloves.
âAll right, well done,â he said, the smirk in his voice growing.
The two of you played board games together, too.
Initially, he let you win, claiming that life in the military had left him âNo time for leisure.â
Translation: âI havenât played board games in an age.â
You picked up early on he was letting you win and insisted on having him play fairly.
There was something deeply enigmatic about watching a trained soldier try and mask his frustration when he lands on Mayfair for the third time in Monopoly.
Whenever youâd lose youâd challenge him to another game, thus continuing the cycle of celebration and condemnation, with you claiming he was âcheatingâ when he won.
âYou told me to play fair,â Ghost would say, a smugness in his voice.
Not all times with Ghost were light-hearted, however.
Even if his presence reassured you, there was the overwhelming feeling that you were missing out on something.
You knew you had family, if they were still alive, but you didnât know them.
Friends, too. You wondered how many you had.
If you had a crush, that meant you interacted with people on some scale, right?
And it was in times like these, times when you just wanted to go home, wherever that was, that Ghost was there for you.
More often than not youâd end up in tears, trying to stifle them.
Ghost said nothing as you wept, chiming in only when he deemed the onslaught over.
âWhy donât blind guys skydive?â he said once.
You sniffed, wiping your nose, and looked at him.
âWhat?â you said.
âI said, why donât blind guys skydive?â
You looked down, as if the answer lay in your hands. You shrugged.
âScares the shit outta their dogs.â
Silence for a second. And then, a laugh.
You gave a laugh, airy at first but firmer the longer it went on.
You put a hand over your mouth, as if to hide your growing smile from Ghost.
Wiping the streaks of tears from your cheeks, you looked at him.
âThank you,â you said. âI feel a little better.â
âSâwhat Iâm here for.â
About two weeks into your rescue, your physical training began.
Having fully recovered from malnutrition, Base wanted you to start learning how to walk again, both for your convenience and theirs.
Ghost attended each meeting you had to go to, watching from the sidelines as a nurse guided you between two wooden poles.
The sessions were tough. Very tough.
You felt useless, responsible for your own suffering.
âIf Iâd done more, if Iâd fought harder-â
âThen youâd be dead,â Ghost would insist whenever you questioned your choices.
âTypes like the ones who kidnapped you donât enjoy people who can easily fight them off. Trust me, you did the right thing.â
After sessions, you were usually tired, opting to try and push for an extra hour or so to get back your ability to walk quicker.
The nurse would insist you rest immediately afterwards.
One evening, you wanted to push yourself.
âI need to do this,â you told Ghost, pulling your legs over the side of the bed. He stood by your bedside, waiting to catch you if you fell.
âI need to-â you slid off the bed, lost your balance, and fell into Ghostâs arms.
His chest was rock solid, and he held you by your arms, close to him, helping you back up.
âYou need to rest,â he said, trying to guide you back to bed.
âNo!â You yelled, immediately regretting it.
Still in Ghostâs arms, you looked away, shame overtaking you.
âIâm sorry, Ghost, but I- I really, really need toâŚâ
You didnât finish your sentence. Ghost remained silent for a minute, then nodded.
âAlright,â he said, pulling you away from the bed.
âIâll help you.â
In your room, Ghost walked a few laps with you, his hold emigrating from your underarms to your elbows, and then to your hands.
You took uneven, shaking steps, but they were steps in the right direction.
You smiled back at Ghost as he stood behind you, helping you.
Another couple of weeks passed. Ghost would give you secret after-session sessions, helping you walk wherever you pleased (within the confines of the room).
You were still shaky, very weak in certain areas, but you were getting stronger, more reliable.
You got to know Ghost more whenever you were resting in your room.
âMy favourite colour,â you began one day, âisâŚ[f/c].â
Ghost gave a brief noise of acknowledgement.
âWhatâs yours?â you asked, continuing to colour.
Ghost spoke plainly. âA secret,â he said.
You blinked, wondering if youâd misheard him.
âHuh?â you said, looking up at him.
There was no humour in his eyes. He was dead serious.
âAww, come on!â you said, oddly hurt by his lack of willing. âYou donât trust me?â
Ghostâs eyes said everything and nothing at the same time.
âDepends,â he said, diplomatically. âDâyou trust me?â
âYes,â you said, without hesitation and with all the certainty of someone who felt nothing but trust and blind faith.
Ghostâs eyes widened for a second, as if he wasnât expecting your answer, or maybe the light was playing tricks with your eyes.Â
Sensing he wasnât going to say anything, you tried to cover for his absence.
âI mean, itâd be hard not to.â You looked down at your colouring book. You became warm, as if confessing something personal.
âYou saved my life, you protect me, youâre always there when I need you,â
âBecause itâs my job.â Ghostâs declaration came out as if it were an attack, a deterrent for you to not pursue this line of thinking any further.
You swallowed and continued on.
âYeah, you could say that,â you said. âBut you took this job.â
âI was assigned-â
âNo, no, not this one,â you said gesturing to the room, looking squarely at him. âI mean as a soldier.â
Ghost said nothing, only watching you.
âWhy would you take a job protecting people if you didnât see yourself as trustworthy enough for them to rely on you?â
Your question was simple yet revealed a lot. Too much for Ghostâs liking.
Ghost gave no response, his gaze travelling elsewhere.
You dropped the conversation.
The room returned to silence.
âGreen.â Ghostâs voice came out of nowhere, low, making you jump.
You looked at him. He said nothing else.
You swallowed, looked down at your box of pencils, and withdrew a green pencil. You passed it to Ghost, who took it reluctantly, and turned the colouring book so he could reach it.
You coloured the rest of the page together.
Then, the interrogations began.
What memories and names Base didnât gather from your notes, they tried extracting from you in âinterviewsâ.
They were simple enough at first: what did you see during your time with the cartel; what were the names of the people you encountered (ones which you hadnât already alerted them to); how long were you in the cartelâs captivity, etc.
The interviewers were firm yet didnât push too hard in areas which were still hazy to you.
You gave every detail you could remember and passed on every memory, no matter how small, about your time in captivity.
It brought back unwelcome feelings, the fear, the hunger, the shameâŚ
You were offered psychological aid, which you found to be of some help, though there was an itch the psychiatrist couldnât quite scratch.
One that you spoke to Ghost about.
âItâs likeâŚitâs like theyâre going by a script,â you said, walking with Ghost around your room, leaning against him as you navigated the circuit.
âLike theyâre trying to help, they want to help, butâŚâ
âBut?â Ghostâs voice was heavy behind you, like a wall. You stopped shambling and Ghost came to a stand-still behind you.
âButâŚthey donât know how. They donât know how to help me because theyâve never-â
âBeen in your situation.â Ghost finished your sentence.
You turned to look at him, mouth agape as you heaved laboured breaths, your exercise having taken it out of you.
You felt a shiver crawl up your spine. Recognition.
âYeah,â you said, exasperated. Finally, someone understood!
Ghost nodded. âI know how it feels.â
You both sat down, you on the bed and Ghost in his seat. You shifted, watching him. He searched for something to say.
âI know how your situationâs affected you,â he said. His gaze flitted from your eyes to anywhere else. âAnd I wish I could say it gets better. ButâŚâ
His eyes looked hard, dark. His gaze finally settled on you, penetrating your soul.
âLook, the only way you can start to rebuild your life is to talk to someone.â
âYou meanâŚâ You dared not let your gaze slip.
Ghost gave a fractional nod.
âI know these shrinks ainât much good when it comes to our kind of trauma, but talkinâ to someone whoâs been through what you have might make you feel like youâve not lost the plot.â
You felt like a breakthrough had been made. Something, maybe excitement, crawled up your throat.
âOur?â you said, quiet, as if sharing a secret. A small smile tweaked at the corners of your lips.
Ghost gave no confirmation. But the silence was enough.
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, alongside recovering more menial memories of your past, the interrogations became harsher.
You told and retold the interrogators everything you knew, any new developments which had occurred to you, forced to relive everything which had reduced you to your current condition.
But they werenât satisfied.
They thought you had something to hide. That you were covering for the cartel by withholding names and knowledge.
The second you were back in your room, you broke down.
You ranted and raved to Ghost, who listened intently, his attention solely on you.
In one hand you squeezed your fist, looking for your stress ball; the one that, ironically, was given to you by the same people who had caused you to need it now.
You couldnât find it. You turned to Ghost.
Hyperventilating, in your panicked, angered state, you reached out to him.
âCan I squeeze your hand?â you said, words spewing out faster than you could think about them.
Ghost seemed rigid.
You swallowed thickly.
âPlease.â
Ghost took a step towards you and, slowly, he raised his hand to you.
You took it, squeezing it, trying to stamp out the anxiety pulsing through you.
With your eyes closed and breathing evening out, you held Ghostâs hand close to you, your grip lessening with every minute that passed.
After your attack, as you got ready for bed, outside of your field of vision, standing just outside your room, you didnât see Ghost.
Didnât see him look down at the hand youâd so intimately held, squeezed, close to your chest.
He could feel your remnant, phantom warmth encompassing it.
He clenched his fist, as if trying to hold your hand, the memory of it which swam around his like fish in a pond.
A couple days later, you were set for another interrogation.
While you were holed up in that room, Ghost remained in yours.
He searched for your stress ball, the image of your tear-stained face in the forefront of his mind.
Somewhere within his psyche, as he scoured the space for that little yellow sphere of temporary distraction, your voice echoed.
It thanked him for finding it, held him in its grip, drove him.
The warm gratitude youâd express plagued him, encompassing him in a similar, diluted warmth heâd felt when you held his hand.
He glanced under your bed. And there it was.
He plucked it and turned it over in his hand.
The gratification of seeing your face light up when he presented it to you fizzed in his mind.
And then another, heavier thought crossed his mind.
The feeling of you close to him, holding, gripping him in your time of needâŚdid something to him.
Heâd be the last to admit that he hadnât felt warmth like that in a long time. And to forfeit it just for a momentâs gratification seemed a waste.
Ghost glanced at the ball. He deposited it deep into his pocket.
He told himself heâd return it to you later.
Later. Later.
Later came as you hobbled down the corridor with the help of a frame.
You seemed stressed. In need of release.
Ghost slid his hand into his pocket. Squeezed the ball.
âDid you find it?â you asked, hopeful. Your optimism was difficult to ignore.
Ghost shook his head. âNegative,â he said, a habit heâd picked up. Slow and intentional. He knew what he was doing. âBut Iâm here if you need me.âÂ
And need him, you did.
You ended up confiding in him how the interrogation went, how the interviewers had made you feel like you had something to hide.
All the while, you clutched Ghostâs hand.
No amount of pressure you could muster could possibly hurt him, yet Ghost could tell you were holding back what little strength you had - both physical and mental.
âDonât be shy,â Ghost said, voice cutting through your anxious ramblings. He looked down at your conjoined hands. âSqueeze harder.â
Something in the way you looked at him, with a look that said âI donât want to hurt youâ, crossed your eyes.
A look Ghost had nearly forgotten in his line of work.
You eventually fell into a comfortable rhythm wherein you would squeeze Ghost as hard as you could, leading to him faking injury at one point.
You chided him, you both laughed (or, Ghost nearly laughed), and you rested against your pillow.
âYou know,â you said, turning to Ghost, âone day, I hope we wonât need a military.â
You were exhausted. Ghost could tell. He humoured your sleep-deprived ramblings regardless.
âSo that people like you donât have to fight for us.â
âOh?â Ghost said. Heâd be lying if he said his curiosity wasnât piqued.
You nodded, movements growing sluggish, lethargic.
Your hand still held Ghostâs, resting it upon your stomach.
âYouâre people, just like us.â You said, yawning. âI donât want you getting hurt.â
Ghost felt an unfamiliar warmth spark in his chest. He ignored it.
âNot gonna happen, I can assure you that.â
âWhich part?â you asked, eyes shutting.
Ghost leaned to mutter in your ear: âIâll always be here to protect you.â
He didnât know if youâd heard him.
When he withdrew, you were asleep. Still holding him.
He pulled his seat closer to your bedside, unable to bring himself to dislodge his hand from yours.
And thatâs how he found you the morning after, awaking from his rigid sleep, still conjoined.
And thus, a habit was born.
After each interrogation, or psychiatrist visit or physical rehabilitation session, you would return to your room with Ghost and squeeze his hand until your anxiety dissipated.
All the while, your memories had begun returning at a quickened pace.
Ghost was learning more about you day by day.
Your favourite food, your home country, the names of your family members.
Your real name.
When heâd heard you say it for the first time, he swore the room got brighter.
It was beautiful and personal in ways that âFawnâ could not compare.
It gave him a place to start searching for traces of you elsewhere.
Social media accounts, certificates, places of work and education - he knew he could find it all.
To make sure you were better off at home than you were at the Base is how heâd justified this interest to himself.
He still called you Fawn when you were alone, the name an inside joke between the two of you.
Speaking of, Ghost exchanged many jokes with you.
Regardless of how illogical or downright plain they were, you laughed each time.
Genuinely laughed.
Ghost wondered if youâd have reacted the same had you not been in the situation you were in right now; practically tethered to him and needing him for everything.
Well, almost everything.
After a few months of physical rehabilitation, you could just about walk again.
Your balance was a little off and you still needed the frame, but it was a start!
Ghost was there with you to celebrate, which, despite their best efforts to make you feel like a caged bird, the Base celebrated, too.
Youâd been incredibly useful to them, having turned up many new leads for them to investigate.
As a reward, Base let you do something which caused Ghost to wonder if this was really the best decision.
They let you go to a bar with the boys.
To clarify, they said you could leave your room, the news of which travelled around the Base until it reached the ears of Ghostâs team.
âWhen were you gonna tell us?â Soap said, Alejandro nearby.
Ghostâs face was blank.
âDidnât deem it necessary,â he said. And left it at that.
Naturally, Ghostâs team came to visit you and asked if you wanted to go to a bar with them.
âAll that alcohol might help you remember something,â said Gaz, looking between you and Ghost.
You looked to Ghost, who, under the silent scrutiny of the other Force members, knew he couldnât deny you of this freedom.
âSure,â he said on your behalf. His eyes found yours and, while yours were filled with hope, Ghostâs seemed to exhibit a darkness never before seen by you.
You squeezed his hand that night you were set to leave.
âWhat if they donât like me?â you said. âWhat if I was a terrible person and I remember all the bad things Iâve don-â
âDoesnât matter.â Ghostâs voice came as a welcome distraction. You looked at him, swallowing your nerves.
âSo what if they donât like you? Sânot like youâll ever see them again.â
Ghost realised what heâd said wasnât what you wanted to hear when your eyes widened, at which point he cleared his throat and tried again.
âWhat I mean is that theyâll like you regardless. Hell, theyâre excited to just meet you after youâve been holed up in confinement for the last few months.â
âYou think so?â you said. Ghost nodded. And squeezed your hand back.
âI promise.â
The bar was nothing spectacular, being dimly lit and made solely out of wood, it seemed. But it was a change.
Creaking into the room, Alejandro spotted you first, throwing a cheer your way, followed by the rest of the Task Force, turning to face you.
Ghost was your shadow, large and wall-like behind you.
You held onto his wrist, daring not to let go, your other hand on the frame.
âWelcome, (Y/N),â said Gaz, lifting his drink in your general direction before taking a swig.
You gave him a slight wave, a shy smile crossing your features.
âCome, take a seat with us!â Alejandro hollered, waving you over.
You cast Ghost a glance over your shoulder. He nodded stiffly and you made your way to the group.
Ghost came to your side, with you gripping onto his arm.
His hulking mass beside you relieved you somewhat.
And, though he wouldnât admit it, having you cling to him brought back the same feeling he experienced whenever you squeezed his hand.
Was this perhapsâŚliking?
The cheers of the team cut his thoughts short.
He knew youâd be safe with his team if he just left. And, with your warmth radiating through him, he felt that he needed to take a step outside to rid himself of this growing affliction.
He made a move to detach himself from you, and, quick as lightning, your hand was atop his.
âDonât leave,â you whispered to him, eyes pleading as you snapped to look at him.
His heart jumped. Something in him stirred.
âAlright,â he said. âI wonât.â
âHey,â came Alejandroâs jovial tone. âI can see why Ghostâs been hiding you away and keeping you to himself all this time.â
You felt your face heat up at the implication, then feigned oblivion. Just in case you were misreading the situation.
âOh?â you said, tone inquisitive.
Alejandro nodded. âYouâre very attractive.â He gave you an eye smile.
Your face felt as if it were on fire.
âAh, look what youâve done,â came Soap, emerging from the group. âYouâve gone and embarrassed (Y/N)!â
All the while, Ghost was beside you.
He seemedâŚrigid.
âThatâll do.â Ghostâs stern voice came, cutting through the chatter of the bar.
You nuzzled further into his side, as if trying to cover yourself.
You and Ghost settled into a quiet section of the bar after that, Soap, Alejandro and Gaz coming to pay you a visit whenever they brought you a drink, chatting for a minute or two before feeling ghostâs icy stare on their backs.
That night, laying in bed, you cast Ghost a tired smile.
âMâsorry Iâve been so clingy recently,â you said, Ghost tucking you in beneath the covers.
âDonât be stupid,â he said, trying not to make eye contact with you.
Leaning back into your pillows, you reached for Ghost.
âNervous?â he said, placing his gloved hand in yours.
âNo,â you said. âJust want you nearby.â
Ghostâs heart spiked. He ignored it.
You fell asleep with his hand on your chest, hands holding his.
Ghost couldnât bring himself to fall asleep without taking you in.
Even in the darkness, your features struck him as ethereal, your temperament and trust enrapturing him in ways heâd never been before.
He sat beside you, your loyal guard, watching over you through the night.
At some point, perhaps lulled to sleep by your rhythmic breathing, he joined you in a world far from this one, in a house youâd never seen before yet had lived in for years. You were happy, with Ghost behind you, unmasked, holding you.
Whether you shared this dream or not was irrelevant to Ghost. The only thing that mattered was that this, for now, felt real.
And yet, dreams can only satisfy the human lust for that which they do not have for so long.
The next day, more confident in your physical ability, you asked Ghost something which held an implication you werenât yet aware of.
âPlay Twister with me,â you said. You had a small smile on your face, one which Ghost was finding more and more difficult to deny.
After much pleading and begging, he eventually relented, more fond of the idea than heâd let on.
However, there was a stoic hesitance about him.
âI might hurt you.â His voice was sincere, yet his tone felt blank, as if he were protecting himself from the thought of injuring you.
You just smiled. âNever,â you said. âI trust you.â
Ghost scarcely contained the warmth seeping through his chest, threatening to make him smile.
He suppressed it.
âFine,â he said.
Half an hour later, you were tangled together, neither relenting as your competitive nature got the better of you.
You span the dial, then called to Ghost: âRight foot, yellow!â
You tried. You really, really tried. But being pinned under the weight of a 6â2 ½ man and only just getting your strength back didnât exactly give you an advantage. And stretching yourself too far, spreading your strength too thin, caused you to crumble.
You yelped, falling onto your front, winding yourself.
Ghost remained stationery on top of you.
You turned over onto your back and looked up at him, laughing.
âYou can let go now,â you said. âYouâve won.â
âI know,â he said. âI just wanted to make sure you knew that.â
You gave a breathless laugh, hands either side of your head.
Ghost lowered himself onto his knees, your legs caged between them.
He didnât notice until he felt your thighs touch the inside of his legs, at which point he became aware of the position you were in.
His hands were on either side of your shoulders, trapping you beneath him.
You went quiet, the only noise being your laboured breathing as you regained your breath.
You were so close, you noticed, able to see Ghostâs dark eyes searching yours.
Neither of you spoke.
Slowly, cautiously, Ghost leaned down, drawing closer to your face.
You watched, frozen by your own indecision.
Sure, you liked Ghost, but did you like like him?
Your body decided the latter as you tried to meet him in the middle. Instinctual.
The material of his mask just grazed the tip of your nose when a hurried knock came at your door.
Your heart jumped and you gasped, both you and Ghost turning to look at the door.
You regained your breath, chest heaving. âWe shouldâŚumâŚâ you struggled to find the words to say, sliding out from beneath Ghost.
âYeah,â he said, getting up. He offered a hand to you, which you took, and hoisted you up.
You landed on his chest, his hand still gripping yours.
You couldnât bring yourself to let go, and neither could Ghost, by the looks of things.
But alas, the doctor was persistent, calling your name through the door.
You parted without another word, leaning onto your nearby frame. Ghost assumed his usual tall posture, shaking the situation off his shoulders as if it were snow.
A couple weeks later, the foundations upon which you and Ghost had built your friendship came tumbling down.
Base had announced that they were sending you home, having gotten in contact with your family.
More of your memory had resurfaced, as had your strength; enough to reduce the risk of you getting injured somehow during transit.
Upon hearing this, you and Ghost had very different reactions.
Your heart swelled and you cheered, the thought of reuniting with your family again making your body light up.
Ghost remained quiet, no different from usual. But something about his quietude feltâŚoff.
Cold.
Base would discharge you within the next day or so.
You related your plans of what you would do when you returned home.
âIâm going to go to the beach, Iâm gonna read more, I-â
Ghost tuned you out, watching you with a vacant stare.
He knew he should have respected that you were bound to leave eventually, as all good things do. ButâŚsomething about you made this separation more difficult than it needed to be.
Perhaps it was his ego, so inflated with your reliance on him that he could scarcely see himself having any value outside of it.
That was his first and final line of defence against what the real issue was.
As he watched you get excitable to get away from here, from him (he told himself), his resolve began to crack.
It had been chipped and scathed by other occurrences, sure. But this pressure, this final obstacle, threatened to destroy it entirely.
âWhat do you think, Ghost?â your voice tuned in as if it were re-emerging from water.
âAbout what?â he said. He saw little purpose in feigning interest now.
âAbout me being able to go home.â You wore a smile, a genuine smile. Ghost had seen enough to be able to identify it.
âGood,â he said. âFinally be out of my hair.â There was a venom in his tone that made you double-take.
You tried to ignore it, tried to focus on what the future held for you, but something in Ghostâs demeanour had changed. You sighed, dropped your previous train of thought.
âGhostâŚâ you said as you slid off the edge of your bed. Your balance had improved, making the trip to Ghost easier than it used to be. He reached out to grab you on instinct.
Standing before him now, you gazed into his eyes, trying to find the root of the issue.
âI wish we got more time together. Under different circumstances, of course.â
Of course, Ghost wanted to say, but he remained mute.
You placed gentle, cautious hands upon his chest, smoothing them over the fabric.
âYouâve been so good to me, and Iâll never be able to thank you enough for that.â
Your hands inched their way up to hold the sides of his mask. He made no move to remove you. His eyes bore into yours, soft in a way youâd never seen them before.
He placed his hands upon your waist, pulling you closer to him, slowly, methodically.
Your mind flashed back to your game of Twister. How close youâd been then and how close you were now.
Without thinking, urged by some sorrowful desire, you pulled Ghost into a tight hug, burying your face into his shoulder.
You sniffed, feeling tears sting your eyes and throat.
Ghostâs arms gingerly encompassed your frame, sliding around your waist, securing you.
The aversion he had to physical touch seemed to dissipate from him as you felt his weight pile on top of you, no longer holding back.
Neither of you spoke.
In your mind flashed a future without Ghost, a very real possibility. In Ghostâs, a future of only you and him. A silent promise he made to the both of you.
It took some time but the two of you eventually separated, with you wiping your nose on your sleeve.
Ghost watched you, hesitant to leave. Hesitant for you to leave.
You went to sleep that night as you never had before; Ghost laying in bed beneath you as you rested on his chest.
In his pocket, Ghost squeezed the stress ball, having found more use for it than you had.
In his haze, overwhelmed by the scent and presence of you, came an idea.
Later that morning, as you prepared to leave the Base, Ghost returned your stress ball to you.
âYou found it!â you exclaimed, taking the ball and holding it close to your chest. You beamed up at Ghost, though there was an evident sorrow within you. âThank you.â
Ghost offered his hand to you as he had many times before. And, for what you believed to be the final time, you took it, squeezing it.
You didnât want to let go.
And neither did Ghost.
You were escorted onto the aircraft, Base fearing that you may be a target for any remaining cartel members while in the country, thus issuing you with a more discreet method of air travel home; a small helicopter.
You watched as Ghost grew further and further away, waving to you as you did to him, until he was gone.
In your hand you clutched your stress ball. Looking down at it, you turned it over in your hand.
There was something on it.
Looking closely, you saw the unmistakable outline of a phone number written in black ink, along with the word âGhostâ below it.
You smiled, the crushing dejection youâd experienced for many hours before evaporating, replaced with a feeling you had grown all too familiar with.
Hope.
Meanwhile, Ghost got straight to work on tracking your location.
He wanted to know where that aircraft was going, when it would land, and approximately how long it would take for you to get home (and call him).
You may not have been able to see him anymore, but Ghost was watching over you.
This would be far from the last time youâd see him, heâd make absolutely sure of that.

A/N: Due to tumblr's 4,096 character limit per text box (paragraph), I've had to separate the whole post out like this to be able topost it. I've tried putting the breaks where there would be a time skip so that reader immersion doesn't suffer too much.
This is my first time ever doing this so please forgive me have mercy on my soul I'm dumb idk how too do any of this but could you do a saw fanfic with a alpha Amanda and an omega reader gender neutral pls again I'm so sorry thx.
YOU SHOULD APOLOGIZE YOU DERANGED- no bcs i've been bingeing all the saw movies since I saw Saw X and you're a genius. I never get female requests anymore :,(
Warnings: I feel like this isn't strongly A/B/O, I would love to do a part two. mentions of addiction, testing, reader being uncomfortable, psychological manipulation,
You're an Accomplice
Amanda x GenderNeutral!Reader
Since you met Amanda, her presence had been overwhelming for you, her scent was something you weren't sure a God could handle. No one felt the same way.
You had met the alpha during some darker days, she had been slumped against the back-alley walls of an old bar, clearly high and drooling. Now, she was "thriving". Clearly that wasn't the word, but she was considerably better than before, and you could thank John Kramer for that- she said. She gave you a flattering, closed lip smile before ducking her head and moving to the side to give you a view of what appeared to be an older man.
"It's nice to meet you John, Amanda has told me a lot about you." Your voice is thin, wavering, you're nervous and Amanda's eyes narrow at you. It gives you more anxiety. "I am pleased to say the same, Y/N." He walks towards you, you think he might shake your hand but you're wrong, John walks right past you and taps his fingers on the screen of an older monitor. "Are you aware of the things we do here?" You shake your head, eyes darting back and forth between Amanda's and John's. You think she might feel the need to comfort you, but the fact that she doesn't makes you feel as if you're in good hands. It doesn't keep you from inching closer to her and releasing a small, nervous whimper.
"Show her," Amanda says, she pulls you close with a hand, her thumb stroking your back cruelly. She inhales through her nostrils as John nods and clicks a key on the keyboard which turns the monitor on. You're greeted with the sight of a dirty bathroom, two men sit in opposite corners, completely knocked out. "Y/N i'd like you to take a look at these two men, they're here for a reason." You whimper again, leaning into Amanda and expecting her support. "Listen to him omega, he helped me." You give her a nod, your instincts scream at you to listen.
"Did you kidnap them?" You ask, glancing to John from the screen. "They're being tested, there are reasons both these men are here. I am giving them a chance to change, to live, each of them are not living but merely existing with no mere care to their actions. There is no thought to who they hurt with their actions, that is why we are here." You nod, "Could you explain." He continues, nodding his head and pulling a chair up to where you had been clinging to Amanda. She feels your discomfort immediately and pulls you onto her lap. You move your head closer to her throat, inhaling her pheromones.
"We are giving people the chance to try again, to give meaning to their lives. They must prove that they have the will to live, I am giving them the chance to be reborn. Do you understand?" You nod your head, Amanda pets your hair and you can smell the pride she has for you seeping through her skin. John gives you a smile just like the one you'd received from Amanda. "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to work with you, Y/N." And he turns away, grabbing a small black suitcase and retreating towards the bedroom door. He gives Amanda a look and nods his head, "If he wakes up, chloroform him again. We have about thirty minutes until this test starts." She nods her head and he leaves.
"This is what you've been doing in your spare time, alpha?" You whisper, your voice is small and shocked. Amanda thinks maybe she's pushed you too far when you address her by her title, and her mouth presses into a thin line. "Did he put you in one of those?" This time she flinches, and she smells sour. You can tell she's disappointed already, and it makes you whine. "I thought you'd understand, do you understand? What he does here is special!" She sets you to the side her eyes narrowing in against yours. "I just don't want to think of you hurt."
And she softens, her hand coming to rest at your knee. "Omega, I understand. I am not hurt, he has only helped me." You nod, reaching forward to place your palm over her. "I'll support you, I mean-" You pause, choosing your words. "If it helped you then... it'll help someone else." She gives you a warm smile, and she's proud of you again.
Before I say anything about this I'm going to explain where I was when I found this out okay so I was just jumping from fanfic to fanfic through the little thing at the bottom after a while I was like well whats that i click it and its the request i made 3 months ago i screamed bloody murder and silently cried
⢠you would ask him to meet you in the old Myers house, hoping the place might calm him Just a little bit, you tell him in the kitchen
â˘when you try to break it off with him he will be very quite, as normal
⢠âlisten Micheal... Iâve enjoyed my time dating you I have but... I canât keep this up! I canât keep dating a man thatâs got the romantic ability of a brick wall!â After telling him all that he still didnât respond, so you turn and slowly walk to the door
â˘you left and went home, thinking everything was over, you finally broke it off with the shape
â˘as you drifted to sleep you half expected him to kill you in your slumber, but to your shock you awoke the next day
â˘just not in your bed
â˘or house
â˘you awoke in the Myers house, laying in the old bed of Michaels mother and father, it looked to be rotting and a bit unstable, but it kept you weight up
⢠as you tried to move you could feel that your leg was loosely wrapped with a rope, keeping it connected to the bed
â˘you could easily slip out of it, it wasnât meant to keep you there, it was meant to send a message to you
â˘you canât escape or leave
â˘you free your leg and start walking out of the room, making your way down the creaking stairs, and end up at the dark, dim and damp kitchen, the one you had broken up with Micheal in yesterday
⢠you can see Micheal standing there, he was cutting some vegetables up with his trusty kitchen knife, putting the cubed veg into a large pot on the stove, that was on by some magic
â˘Michealâs mask was off to the side, letting you get a look of the back of his head
⢠âM-Micheal?â He turned as he heard your voice, smiling, a sight you have never seen, maybe he smiled under his mask before, you wouldnât know, he never took it off
⢠âdarling, your upâ Micheal mouthed, it was clear he couldnât talk, maybe a result of his years without saying a word
⢠âwhatâs going on? Why am I here?â You backed away from him a bit, backing into a old cracking wall that had paint flaking off it
â˘Micheal put his knife down and moved closer to you, placing a hand on your shoulder âyou tried to leave me, but you canâtâ he mouthed, grabbing your hand and bringing it up so he could kiss it
⢠âyou are mineâ he contined wordlessly âyou said I wasnât romantic enough right? Iâll do better darling I swearâ
⢠âIâll do anything it takes to keep you, Iâll do whatever you need me to, kill whoever gets in my may of having youâ
⢠he dropped your hand before quickly pulling you into a kiss, he was very inexperienced, but he just copied what he saw all those couples he killed do
⢠long story short, no matter how much you try to leave he will find you, and bring you back to him
â˘and try not to get anyone involved if you want them to live
The Hillbilly
â˘first off why would you break up with him?
â˘but assuming you would-(Iâm judging you)
⢠you would end up taking him into the old barn that his family owned, knowing that the place wasďżź his favourite place to be out of all the entityâs recreations
â˘ďżź âMax, I have really enjoyed our time together but... I think we would both do better apart, so with that all said... Iâm breaking up with youâ you tried to keep his words simple to help him understand
â˘he would quickly drop his hammer and chainsaw, not caring about any damege they might receive from this, and rush over to you
⢠he couldnât speak English well, mostly grunts and noises that resembled words, but you didnât need any of that to know what he wanted to say âWhy!?!â
â˘the brute like killer was tearing up, crying for the first time in years
â˘over the time he had known you he would have fallen very deeply in love, like really really in love, along with becoming dependent on you for reinsurence and emotional support
⢠so you trying to break up would break him
⢠he would continue mumbling words and yelling as he cried, lifting a hand to rub your cheek, wanting you to tell him it was a cruel joke that Danny put you up to
⢠but no shuch thing came, and soon you removed his hand from you cheek, and with a final âsorryâ you left him at the barn
⢠for months and months after he was a mess, he would cry when alone, and be very quite when around other killers
â˘he wouldnât try and talk to you to try and get you to think about all this again, hoping you would change your mind
⢠he became crueler to the survivors to get his emotions out
â˘but if your a survivor he wonât hurt you even after you broke his heart
⢠he would still pine after you for years most likely and would happy take you back if you ever wanted
â˘though be warned if you do go back to him he will be a lot more possessive of you due to the âlittle scareâ you gave him
The huntress
⢠well, you see there is a small issue to you trying to break up with her...
â˘she has no clue what you mean!!! She doesnât really get implications of words in English, as she can only speak bits of it
⢠âAnna, Iâve enjoyed our time together but I believe we should go our separate waysâ
â˘...
⢠confused Russian noises
â˘after a wile you get it through to her that you mean you want to stop dating her
⢠something she is not even willing to entertain the idea of at all!
â˘she may be a motherly figure but that doesnât mean she canât be cruel, quite the opposite in fact, she can be cruel and mother at the same time
â˘you donât even get a chance to leave her hunting cabin before she grabs you by the collar of your shirt and puts you into the cage she normally kept the little girls she kidnapped in
⢠be ready to deal with the truama of sleeping next to the dead bodies of said girls
⢠she would reminded you that you donât really have a choice in the relationship, she liked you and that was the end of it
â˘she would make sure you were well cared for wile in the cage
â˘and if you are good enough you can earn her trust back, gaining the right to leave the cage
â˘but if you try and run from her expect her to never give you this privilege again
⢠but if you do escape by some magic... it will last maybe a week?
â˘sheâs not called huntress for a joke! She will hunt you down and bring you back, sheâs not scared to hurt you if your running to fast for her to catch, she has her hatchets for a reason
hi uwu maybe i'm blind but I haven't seen any Mikey Myers HC's ;_; could you share some, please? both nsfw and sfw :3 also, could you maybe share some nsfw David King HC's?? thanks lots! I love your blog :3

Michael Myers general SFW and NSFW:
Heâs not really one to show you affection. At all.
However, he does like affection when itâs towards him. He wants to feel needed.
Wants you to cuddle him and play with his hair. You kinda expected this from him though, because in his life heâs always been betrayed.
Scared that you will betray him. Literally follows you everywhere you go to make sure youâre not doing anything that is against him.
Holds you tight, a little too tight sometimes but you donât mind.
Watches you 24/7. Sits on the toilet whilst you shower, at first you found it creepy but now itâs endearing. He even waits outside the bathroom door when you need to use the toilet.
Loves you in his own way but never, ever shows it. Unless youâre upset about something he done. He canât lose you so he knows he has to comfort you and show his love. Then heâll go back to being completely cold.
Sometimes, you lay your head in his lap whilst heâs sat on the sofa. Occasionally you might feel his hand run through you hair and one drape around your waist.
Michael Myers general NSFW:
If heâs horny, thereâs no way he is waiting to fuck you. It doesnât matter where it is or what youâre doing. Youâre getting his dick inside of you.
Canât even begin to explain how rough he is with you. Sometimes he wonât even wait until your wet to thrust into you. If heâs hard thatâs all that matters.
Other times he likes to focus on a little bit of foreplay with you, but heâs selfish so heâll definitely be expecting it back.
Forces his dick down your throat. You canât even breathe when itâs fully inside but he loves it so you donât object.
Mostly pounds you from behind. Itâs just easier to do it that way up against a wall.
Gets off on seeing you in extreme pain, but we already know this.
Leaves multiple bruises and bite marks on your body.
Once in a blue moon, heâll be soft and caring with you. If you had an argument, heâll try his best to make it up to you by allowing you to orgasm before him. Yeah, hard to believe I know.
David King general NSFW:
It truly depends on his mood whether youâre going to have a rough or soft fuck.
When heâs mad, oh boy, you better prepare to be abused, not literally.
He will spend the smallest amount of time on foreplay and get straight into the act. Heâs not wasting precious time making sure youâre wet when he could be fucking you.
Likes to see you in a little bit of pain, the look on your face is just adorable.
Heâll apologise after though, even if you tell him you enjoyed it.
Other times, he focuses purely on you, and what you want. Sometimes he even turns down sex so that youâre the only one getting pleasure. He likes to think heâs showing you he isnât selfish.
When heâs showing you he loves you, thatâs the best sex. Heâs so caring, affectionate and passionate. Leads the whole way through and does everything that he knows you want.
Usually tops but if you ask heâll let you go on top and take control.
If you do take control, he canât bear it, eventually he has to take it back because you just make him crazy.
Here's an idea: Killers are only allowed to keep their s/o (obsession) if they want the Entity to turn the rescue of the s/o (by other survivors) to be a new kind of trial. The maps are reasonably similar to the originals except more maze like, the buildings aren't as broken down (So less windows or doors, but more chests, and lockers.) How do you think the Wraith or the Platonic! Huntress would react to their crush, or s/o being rescued? (Let's call it the Trial Impossible AU)
ââââââââââ
Why not both? :P Even if you wanted scenarios instead, I would have liked the both of them way too much to just cut one of them out of the picture.
Note: If I understand right, there has to be a severe setback if their crush is rescued, right? For example, if they escape, the two killers wonât be allowed to even get to see their crush for weeks and maybe even months at a time within the Entityâs realm and any other trial theyâd have to participate in? I bet thatâd be absolute torture for a Yandere.
ââââââââââ-
The Huntress
She doesnât show it, but sheâs worried and afraid about the fact that the survivors have gotten their filthy little hands on the only person in this realm who has stolen a very special place in the most vital corner of her scarred heart and are trying to escape her with her obsession in their midst.
Like a dog whoâs lost her adorable pup, sheâs trying everything within her power to track down her little cub; throwing hatchets at any other unfortunate survivor who blocks her path, but remains inseparable from her actual quest.
She sometimes checks the lockers. Especially if itâs in your nature to use them often like what you did in past trials. Yet she opens them more so to replenish her arsenal than to check if you or anyone else is in there. If one of your rescuers are coincidentally hiding in one of these lockers, itâs game over for them and blood will be shed.
If youâre close to escaping, however, she will make panicked decisions that might make or break her ordeal. Her movements will be as close to those of a starved predator- her tactics as panicky as those of a cornered psychopath with nothing left to lose. Â
She will be heartbroken when you escape despite her efforts. But she canât blame you. She WONâT blame you. In fact, she wonât even think of the possibility that you might have escaped willingly as all of her anger will be aimed towards those who *kidnapped* her little cub during every trial she has from now on. And pity for those unfortunate survivors- the ones who have rescued you, her distinct form of revenge will dominate for quite some time until youâre promptly delivered back to her by the Entity in order to re-introduce the unique type of trial.
 The Wraith
Heâs very, VERY mad. In fact, his growls are downright beast-like as he stalks through the area- scaring any unfortunate survivor who reaches within earshot.
He doesnât even use his invisibility. Well, that is until he has forced himself to calm down. Only through a clear mind will his chance of success be at max when it comes to retrieving you. Â
That doesnât mean heâll work the way he usually does. He opens every locker in sight and circles around every chest in the area. Not only that, instead of attacking a survivor head on after creeping up close enough and losing his cloak from behind them, he invisibly stalks them for a bit instead; hoping that they might guide him towards you without their knowledge.
You are unbelievably precious to him. And right now, itâs his top duty to get his potential lover back within his grasp. He doesnât want to lose you for weeks at a time and he desperately wants to use those weeks for a chance to get you to open up your heart to him and to him alone instead. Â Â
As result, whether you are close to escaping and maybe even haven escaped, heâll snap anyhow and lose himself completely- downright killing anything which moves with demonic screams of pure anger filling the cold air. And seen the punishment if you do escape, he could be lost within his blinded anger for a very long time⌠Not only all of the survivors will fear for their health when in a trial with him; even more so than usual, even the Entity might reconsider numbing down the future punishments for this unique trial from this point forward since the Wraith doesnât sacrifice any of the survivors anymore- killing them upright instead and accidentally starving a part of the Entity on the long run.  Â
The only thing that obviously will ever be able to calm him down is by you being delivered back to him. And seen what the Entity does this all for in the picture of things, that might be sooner than youâd think.
He hates it when you basically are with another person. Like you could just be right next to someone not talking or anything. And heâll still be jealous.
If you have any stuff animals, heâll hide them or rip them up. Because he doesnât like that, no reason. He just doesnât like stuff animals
Pisses you off by when he comes home from killing people, heâll lay around the house leaving blood everywhere. And heâll âhugâ you just to leave blood on your clothes
Showers in the rain
You try to keep him out of your house by locking everything but he always finds a way in
Loves it when you brush his hair, mask and without
If youâre tall he hates it, if your short heâll make fun of you
If you ever cuddle, itâs just you hugging him
Pats you on the head at random times
Eats everything in the house
Forces you to take a shower with him, either in the bathroom or the rain
Acts like a cat most of the time
Likes to carry you, by randomly picking you up in a bridal style or over his shoulder
Likes to purposely crush you by laying on top of you
- She's not used to affection, or even anyone having her back. As such, she's very independent and probably won't ask you for anything or depend on you at all.
- Will kill for you though. Like, literally kill for you.
- When you two are alone together she can be incredibly gentle and loving; she'll kiss you softly and stroke your hair.
- If you mention her affectionate side she'll get defensive though. She never wants to be seen as weak.
- John would be super supportive of your relationship, wanting Amanda to have love and support in her life after he's gone.
- She probably goes to him for relationship advice too, she wants to get this relationship right; doesn't want to lose you.
- At heart she's a true romantic, and while she may struggle to be vulnerable, she'll get there if you're patient.
- She's definitely the jealous type, and will be cold towards anyone she feels she has to compete with for your affections.
- Won't say "I love you" first, but once you say it, she'll say it right back, and has probably been waiting to say it for a while.
