Since this used to be a largely CAOS-centered blog, I am coming out of my hiatus to say I am devastated by the news Lucy Davis shared today about her Stage 4 breast cancer, which has metastasized, and is incurable/terminal. My thoughts go out to her, her friends, and her family.

Too many people do not get enough time. 😭💔

Of course, they may have just posted the most scandalous soundbite they could have, when it’s really generations above her where the “split” in the DNA happens, but this is wild information to have received on a random Tuesday?

This is so cute but all I could think about was that Instagram Live where Miranda Otto described this exact scenario, where she never knows which greeting someone expects; she’s used to going in for two kisses on either cheek, but when she does this with someone only expecting one kiss, or with someone expecting a hug, they wind up locking lips 😂

Rest in Peace Treat Williams

When I heard the news of Treat's passing this morning, and a picture of him flashed across my twitter feed, I struggled for a moment to remember where I recognized him from. When I realized he played Robert Lowell in Reaching for the Moon, it stopped me in my tracks. Of course. Of course, that's how I recognize him; it's only one of my favorite movies ever created!

Rest in Peace, Treat. You will be missed.

Have any other CAOS fans seen Feud: Bette and Joan? The reason I ask is Keirnan Shipka plays Bette Davis’ daughter, and there’s a scene that’s eerily similar to the one in CAOS where Sabrina insults Zelda so completely (“you’re not my mother, Zelda, so stop acting like you are!”) that not a single person is on her side—where B.D. does the same to Bette Davis—and the scene also happens on a staircase, which I think is why the déjà vu was so strong. It gave me chills to see it again, in a completely different show.
