fallout 1 immediately set the tone not only for itself but for the entire series when the first thing you see is a news report that says “our dedicated boys keep the peace in newly annexed canada” and then cuts to footage of a solider in power armor executing a civilian while another soldier laughs and then it cuts to an american flag with BUY WAR BONDS superimposed over the image

I think that single player video games should have cheat codes and debug consoles by default again. there's absolutely no reason cheating at single player games should be frowned upon. I can have little a cheating. as a treat
