I think Sissy Spacek is gorgeous and probably did a great job with Carrie (haven't seen it yet bc I'm... not great with horror films lmao) but I really do want to keep Carrie overweight. She'd have been bullied regardless of her weight, but I still think it's important to keep in.

Kotoko only needs her prosthesis for mobility — the cane is something her parents insist on, but that she doesn't really use, except maybe when using stairs. Otherwise the cane is for aesthetics and drama lmao

Kotoko is most concerned with maintaining order in the world. Good, bad... those are secondary to the main goal of order.

Makes it extra funny to me that she's such a chaotic person otherwise. Rational and measured, but unpredictable and seemingly chaotic, in her approach to maintain order.

She's such a pretty little girl with refined tastes, but she's also extremely vulgar/blunt, bratty, and puts herself at risk wilfully. Kotoko is also a champion bullshitter.

Not only a brat, but petty as hell.

The running gag is always that she looks like she's maybe 15 at oldest and no one can believe that she's an adult.

One thing that you need to keep in mind about Kotoko is that she is very much a living god. She is absolutely a kami, albeit one who is currently living as a young woman, and who was once a young girl (an odd but otherwise mortal child).

So I think if interacting with other deities or divinities, the proper way to treat her would be as a fellow divinity (kami) from like folk animism-type practices.

Still pinning down what kind of god/divinity and language to use while describing it, but. I want to establish that even if she might not have much of anything in the way of supernatural abilities (like Kuro), and might have a typical lifespan of a human, she is no longer a human in the spiritual sense.

Your first impression of Kotoko Iwanaga should be that she's a very precocious child. A bratty teen. Doll. Etc.

I still haven't decided if I'm writing Valentina, but if I do then I don't think I'll have it so that Tony is the only white boy she's fond of. She'd have a soft spot for all these little white gremlins, though she'd have her favorites obv.

Her place in the world is complicated and she's just... not a great person actually? Like she's complex.

An important thing to note about Kotoko is that she's a great bluffer and absolutely full of shit. She has also never been normal ever I think because what kind of 11yo in the modern era thinks that trading a leg and an eye for godhood is a worthy trade.
