my pitch for leon’s retirement plan (he picked up gardening)

i made this after seeing hideki kamiya’s remark that he wants to pitch a stardew valley-style spin-off for leon’s retirement. i found the contrast between leon’s and chris’s plans for their 50s very funny.

i thought luis was rather pessimistic behind his flirtatious appeal, referring to leon as sancho implies that he parallels his past to don quixote’s. but i also see that as him trusting leon (blindly) will choose to be on his side, despite how bizarre and delusional he might have seemed. and leon proves him right in the end. the end!! so i wanted to depict the famous (or infamous) windmill scene, but instead of the usual “don quixote falls to the ground”, it’s “don quixote the fierce knight charges for what he believes to be the evil out of his chivalrous heart”, just like how leon sees luis.

i fell in love with the original re4 luis initially but was stunned that there’s almost nothing revolving that version of him…then i circled back to re4r luis and here’s this
