You know how people will accuse you of only liking an artist because of of their songs that got popular? This has been the case with Zara and Symphony/Stateside/Lush Life, as well as several other artists who blew up on tik tok and the like. Now, I was introduced to Zara through Symphony. I won't deny that. HOWEVER, I did not just happen upon a neon dolphin video one day and decide to become a fan. No. You don't understand.
It all started with me looking up some Furina edits one day because she is the love of my life and all that is beautiful in this world (I'm not weird, I swear), when I realized that the artist Marina and the Diamonds was behind like half of the songs the edits were set to. Upon this realization, I decided to look her up, and became a fan of her songs. Now, one of her songs is a collaboration with artist Clean Bandit, this song left me with questions. I wasn't able to tell what they were contributing to the song I was listening to, so I listened to a few of their songs to see what they were doing. (I think they're some of instrumental band or something, I'm not really sure). Now, one of the songs I listened to was Symphony with Zara Larsson.
So now you see. Now you understand. The song becoming popular on tik tok was not why I became a Zara fan. In fact, the dolphin and y2k aesthetics being associated with the song were a shock to be. I actually even thought of it as a Clean Bandit song for a while. No, the reason I became a Zara Larsson fan was because of my totally not concerning at all obsession with a gacha game character.
his doesn't actually matter, but I want someone to know. I don't like things because they're popular, I JUST HAVE A GAMBLING ADDICTION GOD DAMMIT!
