Our Sunday costumes revealed the true trash within: Skydala! Yes, we are prequel nerds. And also Anakin and Padme are the BEST (look forward to our having an Obi-Wan, too, at future cons!). We had a lot of fun with these, imagining what a contemporary take on our beloved space nerds, inspired in equal parts by the films and cartoons. And we got to recreate some of the magic that only the Skywalker flirts can bring! Hot dating tip: touch your lady's cheek and inform her that sand is gross and fascism might not be so bad. (DISCLAIMER: this advice is courtesy of a man so bad at healthy communication that his oldest friend chopped his limbs off while he was trying to save his wife from an imagined threat.)
