hello! isolde is my new main character and the light of my life and can be found on the Mateus server! give her blog a follow and her some love - i think you guys will like her. :)Â
Meet Isolde Grey, a twenty one year old hyur midlander native to La Noscea. Isolde is most recognizable to those with a love for the arts and theater, as an accomplished ballet dancer and a rising soprano talent.Â
She is the daughter of infamous failed-opera-star-turned-cabaret-phenomenon Gwyneth Grey and wealthy, noble-born mortician Charles Grey. Also on her family tree are her three older brothers: beloved poet Cecil Grey, taxidermist and big game hunter Cyrus Grey, and pit fighter Cedric Grey, all well-known in high-social circles for their good looks and family’s wealth. Â
Isolde will be coming soon to Mateus, as soon as I can Fantasia my main character into her! I’m hoping to find more in-game contacts. Random RP in the Quicksand only offers so many possibilities, usually. :) Also looking for Mateus RP blogs to follow! Willing to do most any RP with most any type of character. <3

backstory changes whaaaat what happened :O
Essentially, Misaki has gotten revamped! Her backstory is a little less tragic, with a little less Garlean internment camp (and by a little less, I mean it didn’t happen!) She was a mostly normal girl in a seaside village in Doma, the bastard child of a lord and a former geisha, and she worked in her mother’s flower shop, and was a playmate for her half brothers. That’s the very, very short version, but I do plan on writing a proper character Wiki. Still, I’m always going to encourage learning about people’s characters more through IC interaction!Â
It is worth noting that I doubt I’ll be using Tumblr much, if at all, but if people would like to keep in contact they can still message me here or in-game. :) It’s just that I really don’t like seeing drama, even if I’m not involved, and there is a lot of it on Tumblr. Right beneath this post on my dash is a fresh drama post, with call-outs, screenshots, and all, and I just don’t enjoy seeing that stuff. Too much negativity that I don’t want to be surrounded by!
For those who knew Misaki, if they’re willing to breeze over certain things about her past to allow for the adjustment, then I’m willing to say she just disappeared for a little while. If not, and they find that confusing or inconvenient, I’m happy to have her meet people for a second time! Her personality is still very much the same, and nothing about her has physically changed, either.

Still, I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I’ve transferred over to the Mateus server. While I’m still RPing Misaki, her backstory has been rewritten. Regardless, she’s the same old Misa we all know and love, personality wise.

Still, I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I've transferred over to the Mateus server. While I'm still RPing Misaki, her backstory has been rewritten. Regardless, she's the same old Misa we all know and love, personality wise. Where I've Been
This is probably kind of overdue, huh?
I’d like to start by apologizing! If a person poofs I know that it can generate worry, but I sincerely hope no one has been worrying about me. It’s true that things have been weird and hectic, but I can honestly say that I’m happy and that I’m doing well.
Over the past few weeks, my focus has mainly been on supporting my boyfriend while he goes through some big life changes that are putting some stress on him. It came to the point where RP wasn’t really feasible for the two of us, and we were really pining after a different MMO we both really enjoy, and so we canceled our subs to FFXIV and made the switch. Currently still not RPing, but the content is fun and easy to do with each other.
Right now, unfortunately, a return to FFXIV is kind of up in the air. I think a break is doing me some good. I was becoming very focused on how many notes I was getting and less focused on the quality of the content this blog released. Somehow, in my absence, I’ve reached over 200 followers. (That is INSANE and I am SO grateful to the people who have stuck around and come around even when I haven’t been active!!)
I LOVE Misaki, and I love the people I’ve met in this community, for the most part. There’s a large handful of people I do not like and seeing their posts was making my Tumblr experience less enjoyable here. No reason to name names - I don’t want any bitter air. Still, as for now, this blog and Misaki are on the shelf, and it hurts me a little to say it! But I know what I’m doing currently is best for me, my mental health, and my relationship.
If we’re buddies and you want to send me a PM for my personal Tumblr, I will happily give you the URL. :) Again, I’m so sorry for the sudden absence and I’m sorry that I don’t know if or when I’ll be back to FFXIV. The experience I had in the game was extremely positive - any negativity was far outweighed by how warmly my sweet Misaki and I were welcomed into the community. Thank you for the support, love, kindness, and overwhelming amount of sweet words on my writing and screenshots and all of that good stuff.
I love you guys, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their game time. I hope to see you all again soon. đź’–

When Solude stalked past the narrow door of the library without slowing, Surenqara hesitated, looking between the familiar entrance and the retreating wall of Solude’s back.
“Yes, you were supposed to think it was in there.” He said it without turning, his quiet baritone amused. Sura lashed her tail in disappointment, then caught up to his side, glancing up at him. He looked exhausted, his expression dull and distant, but there was less of a gravity around him, now. No impending dread stooped his shoulders.
The rewards of confession, she supposed, but her heart turned in her chest at the thought. What will we do without him? Wordlessly, she slipped her hand around his elbow, fingers sinking into the subtle brocade of his layered, blue-black robes. She’d always been hesitant to touch Solude, warned off by his aloofness and veils, an imposed distance. But this is my last chance to understand him, and she’d leapt for it.
Among her wordless clan, touch had often substituted speech. And even here, it speaks when words fail. But more than that, it was a way to know him, and a way to tell him what he’d meant–still meant–to her. So, apart from her typical reservation, now she leaned lightly against his side, or kept a hand on his arm; she’d pat his shoulders when he sat, gently adjust his collars, brush hair from his shoulder. I’m here, I care, be well. For his part, even if Solude had noticed the change–Of course he had--he seemed perfectly content with it, often briefly covering her hands with his own when they rested on him.

If you send me an ask and it doesn't get answered, it's because: A.) I don't have an interesting answer for it, or an answer at all! B.) Answering it would give a lot away that I would prefer was discovered about Misaki through IC interactions. C.) The ask got eaten by Tumblr! D.) I got lazy and forgot and it's been such a long time that answering it feels weird. ;-; I do appreciate every single ask I get in my inbox, but if ever yours gets answered late, or not at all, please don't think that I'm ignoring you!
