One thing that amazes me about Western countries is that there are a lot of people with PhDs, meaning there are a lot of people with a scary amount of knowledge in one really niche area, and that these people somehow actually gets hired because the countries are developed enough to start needing specialists in some really, really specific subject like Thermodynamics of Rising Bread Dough or something, and then these companies make enough money to hire a bunch of them™ to work on some app or project or advertisement that literally will be released to billions, and now as a member of a public you can't really outsmart or resist all this marketing because you are literally competing against a random group of people who dedicated 10+ years of their life to How to Use Color Pink to Grab People's Attention by 0.001 seconds™

19th century victorian vampires are cool and all but give me historically accurate 20th century vampires living in the 21st century. young, energetic vampires who fought in the spanish civil war, Soviet vampires who still secretly yearns for a communism but had chosen a career as a financier, african-american vampires who participated in the 1960s protest and cannot believe how much time had changed, a vampire that still does not know two world wars happened because they were just used to things like that, an old Indian vampire absolutely cackling at the news from UK, groups of vampires who fought alongside Che Guevara still going around as mercernaries because they just can't forget the revolutions, give me vampires who do not just hide in their castles but actively interact with the world around them, even though their morals and principles have not changed one bit

You know what scares me? Not the fact that the human population is growing faster than we ever predicted in our lifetimes, not the fact that scientists have calculated that the earth has a maximum 10 billion population limit before it breaks, no, what scares me is that within our lifetimes we will have to walk empty streets in places that once were crowded, travel alone on roads that once were packed with travellers, and that the trees will no longer be there to distract us from the loneliness of it all.

The way it all feels So heavy and unending Some poets wrote poems Some artists paint pictures Some musicians sang And some writers wrote I don't feel like I am any I don't feel like I know their language I am stuck between half-conveyed expressions and half-torn words And all this Pent-up rage, forbidden explosions, hurting hearts, burning chest, crying eyes, broken smiles, shaken hands How can I find solace from sharing When I myself don't know How to make any of it make sense

How can I tell the world of this pain that I don't know how to share That I don't know how to end Like this paragraph of words and phrases That I still don't know How to make sense
