"Nah, no one asked me this year."

  "We do try," George answered.

"But not really because it just seems to come naturally to use." Fred smirked.

"One of these days…" Aurora sighed, running her fingers through her hair.

"One of these days... What?" They grinned.

"ᴅᴏ yᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴀ ᴠᴀʟᴇɴᴛɪɴᴇ yᴇᴛ?"

— Daenerys looked up from her studies, surprised to see one of the twins standing over her. Fred she assumed, since he was the one she oft conversed with whenever their paths crossed. “No, I do not,” she answered after a while. “But do you not think such a thing is silly?” she inquired. “Tis not a celebration I wish to be apart of. I am already tired of ladies with their love potions and laced chocolates. You will do well to be careful whose chocolates you eat. I’ve seen many, many things today in this Common Room.” She paused. “And what of you? Have you plans to participate in such foolery?”

"Silly? I guess some of the notes I’ve gotten are a tad ridiculous. One said she wanted to have my twin babies…" Fred smirked. "There’s no way I can guarantee twins," he chuckled. He happily welcomed himself into the seat beside her. "But I’m willing to give it a go," he joked with a wiggle of his ginger brows at the beautiful girl at his side. He peered around afterwards to see if she really didn’t attain any gifts. "I don’t see why you don’t have one though…" He expected boys to throw gifts at her feet. "Even if the chocolates can be dangerous… I just test them on Ron before I try them myself." He snickered. "You’re free to use him."

— "You tend to forget that my father is close to the Malfoys. It seems they are not well-liked here at Hogwarts. I’ve received a few  notes but they were all in jest." She shook her head. "It does not bother me, for I take great joy in watching them fret over your Potter friend. He is doing well in the tournament but dragons are not his friend. Really wish I could have lent a hand, but tis not allowed." She paused. "Ronald is not very bright is he? Our paths have crossed. I’m afraid he is oft affected by my Veela blood. He opens his mouth to speak yet words never come out. I do not think that Granger girl appreciates it much."

"Ah the Malfoys are not that scary," Fred remarked with a smirk. "At least the little ones are not." There really wasn't anything scary about Draco other than his atrocious hair. "Did the foul little beast gift you to how off his vast wealth?" His eyes wandered her studies curiously. It was nothing that caught his interest though. "Potter is a popular one." He grinned. "Does he?" He laughs at his poor brother. "Do you notice if I'm affected as well?" He smiled.

"Bloody hell!" George jumped in surprise. He was still half asleep at the Gryffindor table when his mail had arrived. Laughter began to bounce off the halls before he turned towards Kat with a grin. "Are you trying to make a scene?" He laughed as well.

As I walked home and had to stop reading the third book, I wondered how others coped before the third book was even out! I’d go mad if I couldn’t just keep going! I probably will after the fifth.

Considering GRRM is in no hurry to finish the last two books, take your time. ASOS is filled with bulk of the story. And hey, if you finish before April? you’ll know what to expect in s4. You can prepare your mind:P

Angst || George + Kat

It had been weeks since Fred had… But George wasn’t the same anymore. Kat found it essentially impossible to get him to smile or laugh anymore. It was understandable, he’d lost his other half when Fred died. But it pained her, not only because she’d lost a friend, but she was afraid she was loosing George too.

She found him sitting alone one day, looking for all the world as though a dementor had come and sucked all the happiness out of him. But there were no dementors here. They’d long been rounded up and sent back to guard Azkaban. Slowly, Kat took the seat next to George and gently put her hand over his, just to let him know she was there.

Fred... Why you? Why? It could have been so many others... Why his brother? Why his other half? Why Fred...? Why didn't you take me with you? His head moved to press against the cold, dark stones of Hogwarts, feeling like his whole body was too heavy to hold up on his own anymore.He knew he was supposed to be helping rebuild the school but how was he supposed to help when he could barely hold his head up?

Many urged him to go home but the Burrow was burned away and he couldn't bear the thought of returning to the joke shop without Fred...

When a touch of warmth touched his hand, George somehow knew it was Kat. There was no other reason for him to be warm when he was sitting in a window sill, letting the cold air in. "Kat..." He said softly, unable to say much more at this point. He spared a glance at her though.
