feel the fury closing in.
unrest had finally stirred among the downworlders, growing like a fast burning fire and lilith had lit the match with the blood red moon. but it had been the shadowhunters retaliation that let the match fall and they didn’t know how to put it out. the news of the unjust executions had come fast. the whispers had soon turned to shouts of protest. this was lilith’s opportunity to unite them all with promises of a better future for them, her children.
lilith stepped down into her dungeon with her demons following suite. she nodded toward them in acknowledgement before stepping towards an alter. her hands graced the alter, eyes lingering along the lit candles and a silver dagger. a hand gently touched the dagger, feeling the silver along the pads of her fingers before she firmly grasped and slit a line down her palm. red spilled from her hand, pooling down onto the table. she murmured words in another tongue. she would reach her children’s homes, a whisper in their mind and a vision in their eyes, like an hallucination.
‘ downworlders, surely you have heard the rumors of what the nephilim have ordered. they have plucked you out like weeds and they plan on executing you with little to no care. they have prosecuted you, villainized you and have treated you as less for centuries. you are scum to them. we can no longer stand to have our brethren killed off like ants on their shoes. it’s time for a new future. i am lilith, first woman of eden and mother to you all... i have clawed my way out of hell for you... and i’m here to protect my children and take back what is rightfully yours. follow me and you will be protected, follow me and you will no longer be subject to the cruelty and dictatorship of the nephilim no more. ’ lilith rose her chin up, confidence radiating off of her like the smoldering heat of fire. she was awe inspiring and unwavering. they would follow her. ‘ right now there are three of ours locked within the walls of the institute, ready to unjustly executed. i will not stand for my children to be killed any longer. i ask of you, my children, my heirs, march up to those walls, stand up to them all, tear them down because our numbers are greater than theirs... we need a riot and we need it now. ’
