Plucking a long, crinkled french fry from the heaping pile that covered her plate, Veronica swirled the greasy stick around in circles in the cup full of cheese sauce she had ordered on the side until it was sufficiently drenched to her liking before she decided to bite off the end. âFrom this angle, I canât tell if youâre staring at my tits or my food.â Veronica stated, catching sight of some movement in front of her. âEither way â â Meagerly, she shrugged her shoulders then tilted her chin up to identify who had approached her, meeting their gaze head-on. âYou want some? Iâd be more than happy to share.â Cheeks tugging up into a smile, Veronica grinned. She knew many of the words or phrases that left her mouth had the capacity to make those around her feel uncomfortable, but it never phased her much. In fact, most of the time it inclined her to make those types of remarks much more regularly, just so she could get a kick out of it.Â
On a week-by-week basis, Vanessa claimed that she and Veronica would not see one another as often as they had when theyâd lived under the same roof during adolescence, but it wasnât as though she questioned it. Veronica was grown up, as was Vanessa--she couldnât have expected to see her older sister daily ( even if it mightâve been nice ). There were often bouts that Vanessa had gone through that caused her to feel rather lonely, times such as those were often dealt with alone ( for the most part ). Thankfully for Vanessa, and her sanity, there were the occasional instances where she and her sister ran into one another without plans being made previously. Times such as those were rare, of course, but never went unappreciated by Vanessa. The moment that Vanessaâs gaze evened on her sister, she couldnât refrain from approaching her, though her commentary may have been unnecessary, Vanessa decided sheâd play along even with the possibility that her replies might have been subpar. In response to her sister, Vanessa leveled clasped hands with her chin as a subtle hum came from her end just before her shoulders were brought up in a partial shrug. âYou got me there; I wouldnât know which Iâd prefer to be staring at, which may have been why itâd been this much of a mystery to begin with.â After speaking, Vanessa sat across from her sister and ducked her head a moment. âAs pleasing as the offer is, Iâll have to kindly decline to sharing anything you may be willing to share.â
âOh my God, âNess,â he replied, a look of amazement lighting up his face. âYou are a genius. Why didnât I think of that? Both. You have a YOLO mentality when it comes to food choices, and I like that.â He reached over with his free hand, patting the top of hers that covered his other hand. âSeriously, youâre a life saver. Just pleaseâŚplease tell me you donât have a weird cheese sauce obsession like your sister. I donât wanna have to break up when our dinner compatibility potential is already so high. That would just be the most devastating blow ever.â
A satisfied smile quickly played on Vanessaâs lips, easily softening her features. âWhat can I say? Iâve quickly become the wisest woman on earth by giving a mere answer to your seemingly unsolvable problem.â The blonde ducked her head and gave Ellis a momentary courtesy. When her head rose once again, Vanessa couldnât help but allow yet another laugh to part from her lips. âI have a strong understanding of food, I could swear that it speaks to me on a spiritual level. To answer your question, no--I regrettably donât have a cheese sauce obsession like my sister, though I do have a bit of a pepperoni obsession. We really couldnât have a break up, El, itâd be an absolute injustice to the entirety of the human race.â
âand like - it was just really awkward. yâknow? iâm not a cold hearted bitch - itâs just my face⌠but like her problem wasnât really my problem so.âÂ
âi mean--you donât really seem the type to be a cold hearted person, so she must not have realized who she was speaking to.â
âListen, this is a really serious question and I need your help answering it. This is pretty much a life or death thing,â Ellis started, placing a hand on the otherâs shoulder and intently looking them in the eye. He let out a deep breath before he continued on. âI have a coupon for pizza and for Chinese, but I canât decide which Iâm feelinâ like between the two. If you were me, which would you go for? Think about this really carefully.â
âYouâre right--that is quite the issue to be having.â Thereâd been a partial pause from Vanessaâs end and she had managed a quick and short laugh, taking a moment or two to think over the options that Ellis had. A hand rose to rest upon the maleâs hand as it perched on her shoulder in a friendly action. âIf I were you, I would have both. I mean, why not both? If you canât decide, I definitely feel as though there couldnât be a better option.â
Inhale. Exhale. Tristan pulled the cigarette away from his lips, looking at it as his eyes began to close slowly before opening again. A sense of relaxation hit him and he couldnât be more thankful for the small amount of comfort and calm that washed over him in that moment. Hearing footsteps, Tristan dropped the cigarette on the ground and quickly stomped on it, pushing it away from him with his foot. ( It was ridiculous really, the twenty-three year old trying to hide the fact that he was taking a smoke ?? Most people knew he was the campus druggie, junkie, low life, and so on. ) Tristan still became weary about the people around him, especially since he told his wife ( Vanessa ) that he was quitting any and all drugs and addictions, smoking included, obviously. Turning around, Tristan looked at the figure in front of him while running a hand through his dark hair.                      âFuck, you scared the shit outta me.â
There wasnât much that Vanessa wasnât okay with--though if thereâd been anything that inflicted any sort of pain ( or damage ) to someone she loved or cared for, it would have been instantaneously upsetting for her; drugs just happened to be that thing with Tristan. Truth-be-told, Vanessa loved Tristan and would prefer to not to see him waste away while she glanced on from the sidelines. Even if she may have been a âcheerleaderâ at heart, there was no possibility of Vanessa simply accepting Tristanâs drug use. Quite frankly, it worried her--though, to be fair, there hadnât been anything Tristan did that hadnât worried her, really. Vanessa wasnât quite sure where she had been going, but sheâd wanted to find Tristan; they were around one another quite often--being as their marriage had bonded them together until death do them part ( who was to say she hadnât already died ? ); hindsight was twenty-twenty for Vanessa and sheâd even blamed a fair amount of their injustices on being married at such a young age, which really hadnât been a fair call at all. With closed eyes, Vanessa took a moment to inhale before allowing her eyes to open and gaze to focus on Tristan.Â
âI was so worried about you,â That hadnât been a lie being as Vanessa WASNâT a liar, but she hadnât exactly been tearing this town apart until Tristan had been found. With partial haste, the blonde had walked to Tristan and ran her hands over his shoulders, looking over him a few times to be sure that he hadnât been hurt in the slightest before her gaze had met his, after which sheâd given him a small smile, noting mentally that heâd mentioned her scaring him; it hadnât seemed like a genuine freight, but with how well sheâd known Tristan and with how little anything between them hadnât been quite as genuine as it once was, Vanessa didnât question him about it. Slowly, her hands moved to set beneath his cheeks and Vanessaâs gaze faltered momentarily while sheâd thought of something appropriate to say. âWell, we can always go home and watch a movie or two?â Was that really what sheâd wanted to do? Of course not. She had wanted to know, though, what Tristan had been doing out here alone and why heâd seemed skittish. Sheâd stepped closer to her husband, taking no time at all to leave a ghost of a kiss against his jaw prior to nuzzling her face into his shoulder, arms finding their way around his middle with mindless ease. When Vanessaâs talking progressed, she hadnât expected the sudden hushed tones seeping from her lips, even if she had been teasing and offering probably minimal comfort. âOr, you know, we could always be one of those boring married couples? Play board games and talk about how much of a freak beneath the sheets you used to be.âÂ

NAME: Vanessa Cole Saywer AGE: Twenty SEXUALITY: Heterosexual POSITIVE TRAITS: Benevolent, cheerful, compassionate NEGATIVE TRAITS: Dramatic, boisterous, oblivious
CONNECTIONS:
 - the psycho; siblings: despite the two being so different personality wise, they get along. they are the kind of sisters that share their whole lives and gossip together, obviously there are a few things they keep to themselves but for a sister relationship, they have a pretty good one. the obsequious worries for her older sister but never judges her, while the psycho clearly sees her younger sister as someone who needs to live more. they try and respect each otherâs life choices and stick by each others side.  - the druggie; spouse: the odd pair met in high school, her freshman year to be exact and found love, something the two never expected to find with each other. their last year of high school the obsequious found out she was pregnant and the druggie was quick to propose to her making it clear that he didnât just wanna marry her because they were going to have a child together but also because he truly loved her as she did him. the two got married and were insanely happy but unfortunately lost their child. despite the traumatic situation they are sticking together but disaster is around the corner.  - the hopeless romantic; hookup/crush: after the obsequious lost her child she began to feel lost and talking to her husband felt as helpful as talking to a wall. The loneliness and hurt âcaused her to fall into the arms and comfort of the hopeless romantic. itâs very unlike her but even the people that seem to have their lives together sink sometimes. the two know they should stop hooking up but sheâs lonely and he has feelings for her.  - the primadonna; friend turned enemy: the two were best friends at one point in time, theyâd do everything together and kept no secrets from each other but as soon as the obsequious announced her engagement at her young age the primadonna did not agree with the decision, she thought they were crazy for getting married so young not to mention she was about to marry the known druggie. sharing her opinion to her best friend the two got into an argument and obviously the obsequious picked her husband over the primadonna.
